dance and especially hip hop isn't always technical. dance shouldn't be that serious lol this was fun, so what if she didnt do a full routine with 8 counts, she still did her thing

Yeah I totally agree hip hop doesn't always have to be serious, it can be fun. The only problem I have is she chose to have fun at world of dance. When you go to WOD it's like a concert. When you go see Taylor swift you expect her to give you a full concert not sing a verse of shake it off and say "goodnight everyone" it's kind of the same concept. When I plan on seeing professional dancers at WOD, I expect to see a dance that was worth the miles it took me to travel across states, and money to get into the facility. Am I being hard? Yes I think so but I think it's because I'm a dancer myself and I've been to multiple WOD events and because I'm so unfortunate to live in a state that's never on a tour I always have to travel to these events spending $$$$ I don't have. So with that said I would like to see KK perform what I see on the Internet than what I could see anywhere in a club. Plus any dancer would kill to have that spot on stage! Like me ;) but hey I'll always love KK!
+Ari Shanks you can still have fun at WOD. KK wasn't the only one there so you could've still seen some great dancing. Now I'd understand if she was the only act but she wasn't. She wanted to have fun this time and that's what she did. Why so serious. WOD is supposed to be fun too, not so serious.
+Maya Posey I mean I don't want to repeat myself or get in a debate but it's all about perspective. My perspective is I go to WOD events to watch dancers I see on a screen so I can experience it in real life. And it's a little of a let down when I don't see a real set. The experience isn't what you expected especially since I go just to watch the performances. Now if you go to WOD to compete, battle, or buy merchandise I understand your perspective can be different. But just from my perspective that was 1:30 another dancer who has a set piece could've filled. We can't mix "performance" with "let's party", I could've totally seen that in a cypher but not a stage. But again that's all my matter of opinion. And again I don't blame KK she still killed the beats, I just hope WOD does a little better job evaluating the choreos performers present on stage.

I think she's just experimenting. It's not like her old stuff but that's the point of growing, trying new things. Not everything has to be a perfect, technical, pretty little 8 count. You can't forget to just have fun sometimes.
Forget all these people that want dance to be more serious than leukemia. That was one of my favorite performances by you. Keep having FUN!
A lot of people are complaining . Hip hop has different aspects. When beyonce goes on stage and shake her ass no one says shit. Let her have fun like damn why ya be so serious. It's okay to have fun with dancing. Until one of you guys can go on stage and slay like she does everytime stfu.

Tbh y'all need to let her have fun. Like is she supposed to do routines y'all want every time? If she wanted to have fun and shake her behind let her. We all know what she's capable of when she's serious, so what's the problem? Plus where would she find time for a full routine? These performances are short.

Hip Hop shouldn't be choreographed like everyone is loving, that literally defeats the purpose of the dance, it is disappointing that is all white people want to see, because dancing and choreo aren't the same thing, just because you can perform the moves of choreography doesn't make you a hip hop dancer...you should be able to dance to any hip hop song without a plan, that's what battling is smh, life isn't Step Up where you somehow magically know what the DJ is going to play and have the perfect set to that perfect song set up... -_-

Maya Posey And you can have fun, and give a good show, while showing off your skills as a dancer instead of just shaking your ass (don't misunderstand me, there's nothing wrong with shaking your ass, but you'd expect to see more in a show featuring professional dancers)

I wonder if she felt a bit weird doing a routine like this. When she finished she literally ran off stage but she usually stops does a little bow and walks off where it looked like here, she half did it while she was dancing and just runs. But then again, maybe she just wanted to run off. hahaha

I just don't understand how you can judge Chachi for being loose and slower but fluent. Comparing her to KK is like comparing Ian Eastwood to Matt Stefenina. I honestly appreciate KK, I'm just not into her style. I'm not into the revolution of Urban Dance. Everything these days seems like skill is based on how fast paced and big your moves are. Remember that dance is an art, not intended as a sport. Where is the art in this? You can say "This was just her having fun" but I see this in every performance. Sometimes creativity is less moves per second and more fluency.

I'm not saying she's a bad dancer, but this WHOLE routine was her shaking her butt and twerking. In her other choreography, I don't mind it so much because she mixes in other moves, but this was all booty shaking. And her being a hip hop dancer has nothing to do with anything. I know she's a hip hop dancer, I'm a big fan of hers.
