4:36 thanks for the shoutout again, I kinda fumbled by comparing it to the chimera since the chimera breathes fire but it really is very similar to a greek manticore. It also reminds me of sanctuary guardian for dark souls 1
39:48 The one thing they absolutely nailed. (Obviously to sell merchandise coz believe me if they could sell you a string for that same amount, they would.....Sorry for the negativity, but it is the truth and truth is bitter). Maybe, definitely not as good as Black and White. The only good thing about the story was Kieran that i rank 3rd in terms of characters in pokemon, only behind Lily from US/UM and of course mister Natural Harmonia Gropius who still stands at the top as the best character in pokemon. Anyone who has a different opinion is objectively wrong (Fight me if you will). The DLC story was honestly stupid and rushed if you take a deeper look into how the events take place and the base game isn't any better. Though it is competing with stories in pokemon games so i guess by that standard it is good(still not as good as B/W or B2/W2 call me fanboy but those games did not receive the love they are receiving nowadays when they came out). Ok yeah the music was pretty good, no complaints there.
I have never played US/UM but I enjoyed the *spoilers* story involving the Ultra dimension in S/M, I thought that was a really cool twist....I also liked how that game was the only one to have a totem challenge instead of a gym challenge, and I liked the native hawaiian/nature themes......now if only that game wasn't so incredibly linear and cutscene heavy. Black/White I only played for the first time in 2022 but I really enjoyed it a ton! The story was great (although I wish they fleshed out the 7 sages more and had you fight them one at a time as minibosses). I also liked how it only allowed you to use gen 5 Pokemon. I still haven't played B2/W2 although I own both. The DLC story for S/V was definitely weaker than the main game story, especially DLC 2 which barely had a story at all, and the area zero finale was too short and not nearly epic enough considering the amazing buildup that happened during the main game. DLC 1 had a cool story but it really angered me that Kieran was treated so badly by his sister.
37:36 The state of modern pokemon has nothing to do with Nintendo. My main issue is with the Pokemon Company who is the parent company of Gamefreak and other Merchandise and pokemon anime making companies. The problem is that despite the entire brand revolving around what the games include, the pokemon company does not let gamefreak evolve into a much bigger studio since there amount of employees is closer to an indie studio. They are also given stupidly small time frame to develop games which is why BDSP, Legends Arceus and S/V turned out so bad. Under staffed and short worktime is a recipe for disaster.(Though I would argue this problem started in Gen6 that is why you don't have the emerald battle frontier in ORAS and S/M had almost no postgame). For pokemon to become capable of making good quality games with the new open world formula that they are so fixated on despite the fact that their formula is not suited to it, requires i would say more than half a decade or more with a lot bigger studio. Currently they strategy is to sell the cheapest shit that they can make and sell it at premium price like they did since BDSP. Afterall with a name like pokemon, it will sell well regardless of what quality it ships in. The fact that they had the balls to sell their trash DLC's for 5 extra canadian dollars than every other nintendo game dlc after everything they did sickens me. I could go on and on about this shitty company but i have calmed down now so i will stop and leave the rest for later.
I do understand all of the frustration toward TPC. I tend to have a more lenient view of them than most people because I try to imagine that they are dealing with struggles that we are not aware of as outsiders, but yes, there have been many disappointments with the Pokemon series......for me personally, I just wish they would make the battle system and dialogue run faster. I can't stand just sitting and mashing A, and actually that's one of the reasons why I quite enjoyed Scarlet, since trainer battles became optional and wild pokemon are avoidable or killable with the quick kill feature, plus your travel options become quite quick as your legendary bicycle gains power. You mentioned Canadian dollars - are you in Canada?
9:24 Honestly your mic being shut made this more funny than it was supposed to be. Fun fact when i did the Rennala episode recording for elden ring I recorded her boss fight 17 times since for some reason it kept recording a black screen. That really sucked.
43:50 Umm..... No he does not. Has this guy even seen any of his streams? The reason why Wolfey has perfect pokemon for his tournaments is because he has a lot of friends and people who are his fans helping him out to get those mons. Also yes competitors do, "cheat". We know this as Shohei Kimura the 2023 worlds winner (Worst pokemon Worlds BTW) is a confirmed cheater since the developer of PKHex the tool used to cheat in these games has confirmed that Shohei's Amoongus was hacked. But guess what nobody except gamefreak cares because all they did was give themselves the pokemon that they would have to grind for weeks right away. So there is nothing that gets affected since the pokemon has legit stats that it would have gotten after weeks of grinding. Also it is funny how gamefreak issued warnings to players to not bring hacked pokemons to the world championship, yet the only way to tell if a pokemon is hacked is by using these cheat softwares in the first place.
Yeah, like I said, I get that it's a messed up system where everyone is cheating, so in order to remain competitive, you have to cheat. Ultimately, it is on TPC to enforce their rules better if they truly want everyone to have to grind out pokemon. They have made it easier with each passing generation to raise the perfect pokemon that you want, but I think the games should have a team builder mode that is only usable for online that is unlocked after beating the game or completing the pokedex or something, like in Pokemon Showdown, where you can just make whatever mons you want instantly. Having said that, I also understand the flip side of the coin which is that it's fun to raise pokemon on your own - however, that isn't happening right now anyway because people using hacking to get an advantage.....it may not seem like a huge advantage, but it does save a ton of time which allows player to experiment more and find better synergies and whatnot..... Anyhow, the user who attacks the pokemon scene for this cheating issue is Versilify if you ever want to check his videos out.

My pleasure man. I don't think you need to stress over "fumbling" - it seems like you know more about mythological mutant creatures than most 👾

LOL technical issues for the win
6:28 I googled this and apparently she gives a blood vial which you were using to heal. You can ask for it repeatedly from her.
Thank you!

2:47 Maiden in Black probably is chanting the same to the old one right now.(that is if you did not kill her)
I love all of the FromSoftware maidens and would never purposely harm them 😻
47:50 LMAO
