  • Reflecting on experiences from childhood can help us understand who we are today. Radio 1 presenter Matt Edmondson has been learning music production - an entirely new skill for him - and has been using it to explore feelings about his past.
In this chat with Fearne, he opens up about being diagnosed with cyclothymia and how this new knowledge of his moods has changed his life for better, and how he's learnt to control his flow states, rather than them controlling him.
What did you think of this week's episode? It has certainly been one of the most intense episodes of this year, but we have learnt a lot thanks to Edmondson.

This is such an incredibly underrated - or perhaps more fittingly, unknown here on RUclips - podcast, that makes fantastically powerful content. Thank you Fearne for facilitating the perfect environment for Matt to open up, and thank you Matt for your incredible bravery when it would be so much easier for you to keep it to yourself. These are the kinds of conversations the world needs more of.

I went to my GP about my rapid mood swings and he just handed me a leaflet. I felt he couldn’t be bothered to try and help me.

What a really inspiring and informative experience. So much in there. Thank you Matt and Fearne. Relatable, So right it is a life times work, different meaning at different times in your life, liberating and freeing to speak it brings but dissolves the fear.

Another great informative and emotional discussion but unfortunately it ruined with all of the advertisement. This makes me very frustrated when your fully engaged in a podcast related to mental health.

It’s 100% free for you to watch, and having ads helps Fearne to have vital funds to be able to generate more content.
