I just turned away from Christianity! Thank you rabbi! I now keep the Noahide way! I am so thankful and I will see you when I am raised up!
The main and best book on details of Noahide observance is "The Divine Code" by Rabbi Moshe Weiner. Good luck.

Why not convert to Reform Judaism then?
For you do not desire a sacrifice, else I would give it; a Burnt-Offering YOU do not want! The sacrifices G-D desires are a spirit that is broken, a heart broken and humbled, O G-D, YOU will not despise! Tehillah/Psalm 51:18-19.
Hi Adella, Then why did Hashem give the Law and reasoning behind every sacrifice? If he desired no Sacrifices? It was G-d who Gave the Law about Sacrifices.
See Psalm 40:6-8, and in Hebrews has been to show that animal sacrifices cannot solve the problem of human sin. They are temporary, can only cover external or ceremonial concerns, and cannot truly change man from the inside (Hebrews 9:8-10). Since the new covenant and or RENEWED COVENANT (BRIT) promised by G-d is to be in the minds and hearts of each person (Hebrews 8:7-13), this means God did not intend those animal sacrifices to be a permanent solution.
Yom Kippur is a prime example (yearly sins)
so what do we do about death. We have a major problem as Human Beings we are made in the "image of G-d" whom is eternal and yet due to our lapse of disobedience we are prone to die, and we all know G-d is eternal. If we were made in the image of G-d and G-d has no Form Deuteronomy 4:12-15 then we ourselves were made eternal for we are supposed to be like unto G-d. Let's make man in our image Genesis 1:26 but now we are in a fallen state (for death reins) so G-d has provided us a way back to him in the most purest way like it was in the Garden. 2 Corinthians 5:18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.
I hope you consider praying to G-d the father in the Name of Christ Jesus for complete forgiveness. PS all persons need forgiveness myself included. My hope is with G-d the Father through his son Jesus Christ.

Wealth will not avail on the day of wrath, but charity will rescue from death! Mishlei/Proverbs 11:4.
You are so misguided!
@@adellaadams8018 It means G-d doesn't want a meaningless sacrifice, with no repentance. G-d wants and demands that we fulfill the commandments (all of them including the Temple Service). But if we do them like physical actions with no deep meaning and true intention-then G-d despises them, because they are not true.
@@davidcohenboffa1666 It is all about intent!
@@adellaadams8018 I agree 100%. But if we intend good, but do nothing, the intent is meaningless. We need to fulfill all the law with faith honesty and love.

If Allah want to forgive He just forgive as simple as it is no blood required. Tawba (Arabic: توبة alternatively spelled: tevbe or tawbah, Turkish: tövbe) is the Islamic concept of repenting to God due to performing any sins and misdeeds. It is a direct matter between a person and God, so there is no intercession. There is no original sin in Islam. It is the act of leaving what God has prohibited and returning to what he has commanded. The word denotes the act of being repentant for one's misdeeds, atoning for those misdeeds, and having a strong determination to forsake those misdeeds (remorse, resolution, and repentance). If someone sins against another person, restitution is required. Qur'an 39:53 Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

Perfect video, like always. Thank you rabbi for the answer! God bless you. How is your finger doing from the surgery?
I'd come to a similar but slightly different conclusion recently. I'm a former Christian, now irreligious. I realized that the Christian understanding of atonement, as laid out in the New Testament, makes god a liar. In the Torah god lays out his commands about offerings and atonement. He and the people accept it as good. But the New Testament says that the old testament laws, and specifically the sacrifices and atonement were incomplete and insufficient. This makes god a liar in the old testament and the people of the old testament, unwitting fools. The New Testament and Christianity was truly a rewrite and reinterpretation of the old testament. Not that I believe either parts were divinely inspired.
Excellent... Thank you Rabbi, for this explanation.
The Religion of ISLAM is even simpler then that.
If you sinned, just ASK God to Forgive you. HE shall Forgive you.
That's it
The wage of sin is death. Sin is evil and has to be destroyed.
When we sin, we HAVE TO die.
Forgiveness is just about removing that anger God has against us.
But what about the sins, the evil?
Jesus atoned the sins of humanity. He conquered sin and death by diying in the cross and rising up again.
What is Allah's plan to remove all evil?
For Christians, God's plan to remove evil is the sacrifice of Christ.
@@ssv7195In Islam we dont need to kill our God on cross for salvasion . Only faith and righeousness will be rewardwd . Not a murder on a cross. It is a SIN & CRIME to kill some one innocent
Repair the wrong done. We even do it to one another. If we hurt somebody feelings by taking something without been given to us, we need to apologize and return what we have taken. I see it's so simple, but sometimes we don't behave the way we should. Is the same thing as hurting one of our parents or both. Repair the damage done and remove from us the guilt. We, as human beings are very sensitive. Hashem, blessed is He, is our Creator Who created us in His image. As we behave to ourselves so behave with others. Don't hurt, don't steal, don't kill. Since leviticus is not practicable anymore, there is only the sacrifice according Hebrews 10 left. This sacrifice is available to everyone by faith. To see the kingdom of God we need also to be born of water and the Spirit according John 3. - Faith is the most required attribute God asks for, see Hebrews 11. - We need the valid sacrifice, the new spirit and faith at anytime. (also during periods of exiles)
"For the life of flesh is its blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for its blood shall make atonement for the soul". Leviticus 17:11. Your own scriptures prove you a liar. How can you deliberately deceive like this?
Ask first. The problem today with people inside the church of the wicked fields is they have gone forth marrying people with holy names, leading them to addiction and corruption and then condemning them or attempting to sacrifice them. This is a problem.
And for two thousand years they have not poured any blood on altar since the temple was destroyed.
How do they atone for their sins then?
Christians are exceptional since we trust on our Lord Jesus Christ.
What deception is there? Read Leviticus chapter 5. Blood is to be poured out. Not offered. Do you understand symbolic language or metaphors? Life is in the blood. Because blood contains oxygen which is how we breathe. If we lose too much blood, we will not live. This is basic science.

How can you be so sure the gospels where corrupted? It seems to me that those who make that indictment are themselves corrupt.
So, to cut through the dueling beliefs and astounding assumptions, none of which has been proven to be true or real, what do we have? A case of “your divinely inspired and inerrant book is wrong about what our divinely inspired and inerrant book says about atonement for what might be a sin, if such a thing is actually at all possible. What a relief we got the correct answer! How do we know that? We do not actually know that. We are left with preference based on what we prefer as the better explanation/rationalization according to the preferred but unproven preferential book. I can almost hear the late Christopher Hitchens saying, in a somewhat bored yet exasperated tone, but without apology: “Don’t waste my time!”
The authenticity of Moses is based on the public revelation at Sinai: God revealed Himself to the entire nation of Israel, at least three million people, and proclaimed before them the Ten Commandments. The entire Jewish people personally experienced that revelation, each individual in effect becoming a prophet, and each one verifying the experience of the other. With their own eyes they saw, and with their own ears they heard, as the Divine voice spoke to them, and also they heard God saying, "Moses, Moses, go tell them the following ..." They did not receive the occurrence of that event and accept it as some claim or tradition of an individual, but they experienced it themselves. That public revelation, therefore, authenticated the bona fide status of Moses as a prophet of God, and the Divine origin of the instructions he recorded in the Torah. That, and that alone, is the criterion for the belief in, and acceptance of, Moses and his teachings.
I'm surprised after 1900 years, missionaries can't figure out that God didn't beget himself. Nor was a human woman the mother of the creator Almighty. Its ridiculous.

13:47 HEBREWS 9: 22 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, 20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. 21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. - So he's blessing with ritual sprinkling. "and without shedding of blood is no remission" - could this mean that for gross sins, they are not purified until one is killed? Or did they use 'shedding' for 'sprinkling'? But his use of blood in the water is to bless the water for sprinkling. In India they would use saffron. Of course for Moses, the prize produce of the land was the livestock.
Whoever wrote that does not know the Scriptures. Hebrew 9:19 is referring to Exodus 24:8. There is no such “blood of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop” in Exodus 24:8. That stuff I quoted is in Leviticus 14:4-7, cleansing of a tzaru’a or leper. And they also mixed up the red heifer. Verse 20 is also wrong. No blood was rubbed on the vessels of the temple or mishkan. Read Exodus 40:9-11. It was oil. What is this obsession of blood? Maybe it was a blood drinking cultist pagan manipulating and lying about the Scriptures. Nowhere does the Most High want us to touch or drink blood! In fact, blood was to be poured out and one must wash them-self if they have any blood on them.
I am now an avid listener. He is great.
The problem with the Rabbi is that he always leaves out CONTEXT
Yes, but dear Rabbi- the majority of the text in Hosea deals mainly with Ephraim--
You need to know there are those of us that are turning from ‘no Torah’ and observing Torah--
observing and calling the Sabbath a delight and keeping all of the feasts-[and stopping the observance of all pagan days- Christmas, Easter, etc.]- keeping kosher- dressing modestly- wearing tzitzit-following all Torah that we can while we are not in the land, etc--
You pray for us daily in the Amidah-
The Most High is opening our eyes and hearts to His ways and His truth. Praise His Name!
Our forefathers were those that ‘mixed himself with the nations’ , whom considered His torah- ‘a strange thing’, whom were 'destroyed for lack of knowledge…. forgetting the law of their Elohim’, eating ‘unclean in Assyria’, whose gaiety ended ‘her feasts, her new moons, her Sabbaths, and her festal assemblies’
and whom sadly were ‘swallowed up’ becoming like the Gentiles as a vessel wherein there is no pleasure’.
[Hosea 7.8, 8.12, 4.6, 9.3, 2.11, 8.8]
But the Most High IS waking us up!
I have learned these ways over 20.years ago- and more and more people are being awakened-
You see, I believe with all of my heart in Deut 29.14,15 where it states
‘ I am making this covenant and this oath not only with you, but also with those who are standing here today
in the presence of the Most High Elohim, as well as those who are n o t here today…”
My forefathers stood there for me-- accepting the covenant for me-
I k n o w this with all of my heart and my soul!
[No man can take that from me!]
For days are soon coming when He will regather His people-Judah and Ephraim-
From all of the places where He has scattered us and we will be one nation again in the land!
Such beautiful promises, such beautiful h o p e!
Please pray for us that we continue to come into all truth and embrace all the beauty of Torah
-as we pray for you-
and for t h a t day when when the Torah will go out of Zion and the word of the Most High from Jerusalem!
P.S. The Most High is also gathering hundreds to thousands of us together in different areas-- like the MO & AR Ozarks, TN, SC, Illinois, etc... We moved to the MO Ozarks two years ago and found ourselves surrounded by 10 like minded families in just half a mile from where we bought property! [Unknown to us at that time- we knew of no other 'Hebrews' in the area or of a 'Hebrew' group.] The longer we have lived here- we found hundreds of us- and more keep moving into this area monthly... The exact reason of this gatherings we do not know-- But we believe He will bring us all back to the land in one last great exodus at some point in the future! Shalom shalom!

Many of you are just making things up. Zachary Bauer for one. New 2 Torah is still using the books of the church and not the Torah. You can not do both. Many people are leaving the church without true direction or guidance. Some like you are turning to Rabbi Singer and Jews for Judaism for help. This is good but will it be enough? Many are turning to Netiv and the Noahide Movement. I wish you well. It took a lot of effort to write what you did. The Hebrew movement is not Jewish. Many think that they are replacement for the Jews! The Children of Israel will never be replaced. We are here. We are Israeli!
@@adellaadams8018 I have never believed I am a replacement for the Jews- Never, ever!
No one can ever replace Judah! They are irreplaceable!
They have held onto and preserved the Torah for all of these thousands of years!
Thanks to the Most High for you!
Judah is one, but it is not all twelve tribes of Israel. It just is not. It is one special tribe that has
managed to keep its identity through hell and back! Peace be upon your heads!
Yet for Israel to complete itself it needs all twelve tribes- together- to be ‘Israel’ before our King….
It will not be my doing or your doing or any governments doing- it will be an event that only the Most High can and will bring about as promised over and over again in the Tanak-
Ezekiel 37 speaks of the Most High merging the stick of Judah and the stick of Joseph and making them ‘one in His hand’ and He ‘will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel;
And one king will be king for them all; and they will no longer be two nations, and they will no longer be divided into kingdoms.’
Only He can gather us together from where He has scattered us- and I await that day!
I have no idea what that will look- or how He will achieve it- when I look around at ‘Ephraim’ about me I see a lot of ‘family issues’ within that group- and I can only image what ‘family issues’ might arise joining with Judah- but I trust in this- He has promised it and He has all the answers to bring us all together!
I do thank you for all your well wishes!
I truly do not feel I am supposed to be a ‘Jew’ per se, but I do learn more about Torah from you.
[And I do not see the Noahide laws in Torah at all, so I cannot follow them.]
So I continue to study and I trust in this-
'The Most High is our judge, The Most High is our lawgiver, The Most High is our king, He will save us!' Isaiah 33.22.
Shalom to you and yours- and love from Missouri!
@Strava 89 Thank you, Strava. I have seen the cited seven 'Noahide' Laws-- but I am all in- and observe all of the 613 mitzvot that I can--as a woman, as a mother, as a wife, as a daughter of the covenant that I can follow while not living in the land of Israel and not having a temple... If I had found in the Torah that I needed to observe just 7 of His instructions then that would have indeed sufficed-- but I do not see just seven commanded for one who wants to become a child of Israel. So I cling to the Most High of Israel and His covenant-- and all of the instructions given to Israel at Mt Sinai. Thank you for sharing- shalom to you and yours!
I don't know why there are lines through some of what I wrote...? That is not what I had typed at all!
@Paula Wallace I agree Ephraim is scattered among the Heathen Gentiles.
But give me a chapter and verse in the Torah or Tanak that states that Ephraim has not sought out Gd or His Holy Torah on their own before Davids son comes and brings them back?
And also where in the Torah or Tanak does it state that only Jews can keep Gds law?
Please share with me these Scriptures! Open my eyes! Give me greater understanding!
And shalom to you and yours!
God wants your ears of obedience, confession, repentance and turning away from your sins, no need for human mutton chop sacrifice...yeap folks no room for " a body to be provided" like what Paul says in Hebrews!!
@Javi G: First of all, the "New Testament" (or Brit Chadasha, as you probably use) is NOT scripture that was given to mankind by God. When He gave the Hebrew scriptures to Moses at Mt. Sinai, He specifically told us that those words are ETERNAL (i.e. STILL in effect and binding TODAY - a LIVING document!), meaning there would be NO further scriptures received after Mt. Sinai.
Second of all, nowhere did God ever tell us that He requires HUMAN BLOOD (a purely PAGAN ritual!) as atonement for our sins; therefore, the 'Jesus dying on a cross for people's sins' narrative, just did not happen. We are told in Ezek. 18:20-32 that we can just return to God by confessing our sins, repenting of those sins and asking for His forgiveness. Deut. 24:16 and Jer. 31:29-30 tell us that one man CANNOT die for another man's sins, and that we each must die for our OWN sins.
Please do some honest research on how Christianity started, and you WILL discover that it absolutely did not come from God. Christianity has been outright lying to us for thousands of years, and is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on mankind. It is not the word of God, and this is what you need to research for yourself, and stop listening to the "blind guides" who preach to you from the pulpit every week, and who refused to learn the original Hebrew that God gave to us, and are therefore in total darkness about what God actually said to us at Mt. Sinai.

@@HarpazoReady2022: In reference to these two verses, the Notes in my Tanach say the following, and seem to indicate that they are not referring to the Messianic era (i.e. the future) but something that happened in antiquity (i.e. the past):
_24. Lit., "seventy weeks," this phrase refers to seventy times seven years, or 490 years. This refers to the seventy years of exile that have passed from the Destruction of the First Temple until this vision, and the entire 420 year period of the Second Temple (Rashi)._
_27. The Roman emperor would make a treaty with the Jewish nation for seven years; but for the second half of that term the Romans would violate that covenant and impede the Temple service. The "mute abomination", i.e. a temple of idolatry was erected by the emperor Hadrian on the Temple Mount (Rashi)._

We are in the messianic age, red child is cains distinction, that is what Rothchild means. The Chariot is the messiah sign path of Chet, Geburah and Binah which connects to his crown, Tovia knows the tree, the most difficult path is the messiahs. The Kabbalah tree, he will connect Strength with Wisdom. The three wise men knew astrology and his birth was 7 years before the decade, in Judaism thats the 7th month 15 day, that is when Israel fell to the crusaders July 15 1099, so that leaves us with Tammuz 26th, 26 Is the Gematria of YHVH , and the golden calf is the ox of Alderman (the constellation) , 1 of the 3 royal stars and the star of Bethlehem , it is called the watcher of the east. I believe that is the messiahs sign and the 12 disciples are the astrological cycles. It's interesting the Asham "guilt offering" is the same type of offering and word (asham) that is used in Isaiah 53:10. So that pretty much cancels JC as the servant unless of course Christians believe he is guilty of sin.
The sacrifice doesnt atone for the sin, when you contemplate the scarafice you have to imagine that could have been me, the real forgiveness is when you regret the sin and repent that's when your sin in forgiven if it was that easy people would sin with the idea to bring sacrifice which doesnt work.

I agree, rabbi...great question...an even better answer. I would add, since you referenced Yom Kippur, that it might be helpful for xians to know that on Yom Kippur, when we Jews are spending over 25 hours in deep prayer without food or drink, that in order to attone for our sins from the entire previous year and to beg Hashem To Forgive our sins, we do three things...T'shuva/Repentence...Tefilla/Prayer...and Tzedaka/Giving Charity...all to attone for our sins. Something else...when we Jews pray on Yom Kippur, we pray as a community, asking to be forgiven for sins that we may not personally have committed but other Jews in our community may have committed...so we pray as ONE PEOPLE with ONE HEART beseeching HaShem for His Mercy To Provide us with another year of good health, happiness/fulfillment and prosperity. Thank you Rabbi for your clarification! Many Christians believe their sins are cleansed by the blood of Jesus, who took the place of the sacrificial lambs.
there is no repentance for sin between man and his fellow man eg if u steal 20 dollars u HAVE TO PAY back and even yom kippor dosnt help it only helps if its a sin between man and god
Correct.
Without repentance hw will give back?
I Samuel 15:22, Proverbs 15:8, Malachi 1:10. The scriptures tell us the sacrifices of the wicked are in vain. That they are abominations doing them for the wrong reasons. Pretty simple folks. Just read the book and stick to the script. If you have a question, ask the orthodox rabbis. Tovia Singer especially. you christians need to pay attention to the core details and the main themes of what the Lord of host expects as righteousness. Read psalms and proverbs. They are the antidote for sin!
🙏🙏🙏 But You said: "Let our lips compensate for the bulls" -therefore may it be Your will, HASHEM, our God and the God of our forefathers, that the prayer of our lips be worthy, acceptable, and favorable before You, as if we had brought the continual-offering at its set time and we had stood at its station. 🙏🙏🙏
It was once again mentioned the longest exile. What was the reason for almost 2000 years of being in exile, without the temple? It is year - according to Orthodox calendar - 5784 I think - and almost 2000 years is a long period of time. If God was so not pleased with Baal worshiping, etc - 70 years of exile... What kind of a sin deserves 2000 years of exile? I cannot imagine anything less than what is described in John 1 and elsewhere - rejecting the Word of God, who became flesh. But what is your explanation?
And regarding forgiveness of sins. Why not quoting New testament - it teaches the same thing! It's what Christ taught, it's therefore Christian:
Luk 18:10-14 KJV 10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
If anyone has an answer, let me know Thank you.
Thank you Rabbi Tovia Singer for your wisdom!
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the alter to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement. LEVITICUS 17:11
But what the Christians dared to do was transfer the old sacrificial system's method of atonement and applied it to the most hideous and perverted execution method the Romans could come up with, and on one person in particular.
When Christians say there is no forgiveness without the shedding of blood, it is because we are referring to Jesus as the Lamb of God that was slain from the foundation of the world. Without Jesus’s substitutionary sacrifice (as in Abraham and Isaac and the ram that was provided, ie Jesus), there would never be forgiveness of sins. I believe the rabbi is mis-focused.
If Jesus paid the wages for all your sins, then he would still be dead. Thats the price for your sins. Not resurrection. And the passover isn't even a sin offering.
If Jesus already covered ALL your sins, then theres no need to repent for the sins that are already covered. Two people can't pay for the same sins. And you would be required to be perfected nor pick up your own cross and crucify your own carnal flesh. You are deceived because you dont understand how to read hebrew literature nor establish truth by 2 or 3 witnesses. Sorry to break it to you. Jer 16:19-21 might help you. Its the gentiles that have been blinded in-part as the scriptures say. Thier eyes will be opened at the end when the spirit of truth returns.
@@jdaze1 The wages of sin and the gift of life.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift freely given by God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
We are all doomed to die because we are all sinners. Paul is quoting from Psalm 14 here when he says, “What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin. As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” Romans 3:9-12
Both Jews and Greeks (Gentiles) are all under sin. Therefore one isn’t any better than the other. We are all equal before God. We are all sinners in need of a savior from sin. We cannot stop sinning under our own power or effort. It takes help from above. This help comes from Jesus who exists in both the old and the New Testament writings. He was YHWH and Michael, and many other names in the old. He is Jesus, Savior, Christ/Messiah, son of man, son of God in the new. He is 100% human and He is 100% Devine all at the same time.
He came to do many things.
1. To pay the eternal death that we could not pay and yet live. Jesus Christ experienced eternal separation from God, His Divine Father, the same kind of eternal separation we would receive in hell fire. As a human, He didn’t know if His mission was a success or a failure, because God had withdrawn from Him.
2. To become our Great High Priest in the heavenly sanctuary. Not through human means or bloodlines, but as the same order as Melchizedek, and through the line of Judah.
3. To be our intercessor to help us and to plead and pray for us, so all our prayers will be granted. That is, the prayers that align with God’s will.
4. To perform miracles of heart conversion and transformation in each life of those who rely totally upon Him.

1:12 Yes. That's what I was thinking. 3:40 But it's seems quite problematic to me to think of 'offerings' as 'sacrifice'. An 'offering' is an offering. And humans have to eat. So making the 'offerings' usually refers to offering the things on the alter first and then distributing them after they have been taken down. Of course; if they ate meat they offered meat. Vegetarian traditions offer vegetarian foods. I don't understand what it means 'sacrifice'. I suppose if you're giving your best goat for the offering then it's a 'sacrifice' in the sense that you might have kept it and used it for yourself rather than offered it at the temple. 6:16 Income based offering. 8:46 None of it is 'an animal dying for your sins'! I mean of course, killing the animal still holds the sin of killing, but then nomadic people and where it is not possible to live on farming alone, kept livestock. And an 'offering' is an 'offering' and includes ALL that they consumed. Or the best of what they consumed. 10:10 But you can't offer roasted meat from the Kosher butcher on the alter? Why is there no alter? 10:57 Yes but I don't understand why there's no alter and no offerings. There's no alter in the Synagogue?

We sacrifice animals every day for our own sustenance. Christians believe a human sacrifice has value. That’s an abomination to Jews.
In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.

Atonement Atoning Sacrifice one particular sacrifice (namely the ’asham the guilt offering, or reparation offering) that, in conjunction with repentance, served as atonement for intentional sins (called ‘transgressions’ in the Bible). Rabbinic traditions, repentance could ‘convert’ intentional sins to unintentional, hence paving the way for atonement through sacrifice.” Christ Jesus became the Sacrifice for all sins: The Bible clearly says that without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22). Old Testament sacrifice was for covering or delaying the repercussions of sin - Bail Bond. New Testament sacrifice of the Son of God took away the sin - Not Guilty verdict. After the temple was destroyed, Jews and Gentiles must both come through the blood of Christ. Christ is PART of the Godhead not a person of the trinity. God created man in his own image. Humans are created as body, soul, and spirit. Godhead = Body (Jesus), Soul (Father), Spirit (Holy Spirit). One God in three parts not three gods in three persons.
If some say: “But the Old Testament saints were saved by the Law”, just read Heb 11:1-40, Rom 4:2-3, and Gal 3:8. Both the Old and New Testaments testify of Christ Isa 53:1-12 Luk 24:25-27 1Co 15:3-4. People of both Testaments were saved the same way by Belief or Faith in God Heb 11 Joh 8:56 Rom 4:2-3. @Ken Brownsher true
Ken Brownsher
I know, I am a Muslim, do you mean someone else?
They are translating the word as: 'offering' and 'sacrifice' and 'slaughter'. But to sacrifice means 'to give up' something. Offering is the better word in modern times because people autimatically associate the word 'sacrifice' with unnecessary killing. When actually it means that the farmer, herder is giving up some of his livestock. But surely it's a misconception to think that you can't make offerings wherever you live. Whatever people like to eat and drink the most can still be arranged beautifully on the alter as offerings. It doesn't matter if it's bought from the butcher and prepared. It's still a sacrifice. Because you have to buy it and prepare it. I don't understand the concept of not keeping up the practice of making offerings no matter where one lives. Or is the problem that if the animal is not killed on the holy spot it can't be offered? But it seems a shame to do away with the practice of offering, which is such an important practice, just because of the changes brought about by industrialisation. 11:13 But that's not true. You do have a 'slaughtering' system. As long as you eat meat you have a slaughtering 'system'. And then whatever the system is, isn't it good to make the offerings of the produce? THEY ARE SAYING: 'Schechita; is the Jewish ritual slaughter for poultry and cattle for food according to Halakha. Talmud - Tractate Hulin Shulkhan Arukh Yore De'eah. The practice of slaughter of animals for food is the same as was used for Temple sacrifices, but since the destruction of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, sacrifices are prohibited. The Torah explains that animals not sacrificed must be slaughtered by the same practice, and
today Shechita, kosher slaughtering does not include any religious ceremony, although the slaughtering practice may not be deviated from, if the meat is to be consumed by Jews.' So can the slaughterhouse not send the offering to the Synagogue? And then the offering is burnt on the alter with the usual offering prayers? What confuses me; is that if you do away with the 'offering' part, then you don't bless and purify the whole slaughtering 'system'. And also the abattoir can be blessed before hand. But if you can't bless the whole slaughtering system with the offerings, then surely better to be vegetarian? 11:13 But this is the same for offerings in any religion. In the old days they could offer vast containers of saffron and all manner of fragrant things and now people have to offer rice crackers. I don't think we can give up the practice of offering because it can't be exactly the way it was 2,000 years ago. If you make your burnt offering in New York, you can bless and purify the whole Jewish slaughtering system for the whole of New York. If a community purchases a very fine chicken from the slaughter house and offers it; then that chicken has been offered, not eaten. But still you paid for the cost. So it's the same thing as offering your own chicken from your own livestock in the old days. 11:42 Well yes, you're not gonna burn bulls in a synagogue in New York. That would be problematic. But the point is this Rabbi: say you had a fine heard 2,000 years ago, you picked the finest animal of the heard and offered it to God on the alter. Then your huge family and the community ate the rest in time. So it's the same thing! If you buy a fine pack of Kosher lamb chops, and instead of the family eating all, that first portion is offered to God, then you serve God the first portion, which you don't get to eat yourself. This is a huge blessing for you AND for the animal. Otherwise the whole animal goes into the hungry human and God got no portion. Why can't there be a small burnt offering alter in the Synagogue? I mean when you had a whole heard you offered a bull. Now you eat a few lamb chops you offer one or two. In relative terms, it's the same effort. Pushing ourselves to practice means that we have to extract the essence of the practice and adapt it to modern circumstances. The offering is not to eliminate sins, it's to offer that first portion to God. He gives you the land, he gives you the animal, and you can't chop all without sacrificing the best first portion to Him. 12:16 Rabbi; Yisrael is not 'in exile'. Again, the disempowering view. Yisrael is The Fight for God. Wherever you are is Yisrael! Yisrael is not a political principality. You are an Yisraelite NOT an Israeli! Your mixing modern politics with the Torah. DON'T BE IN EXILE MASHIACH BEN AARON! You are a Yisraelite in Yisrael (God's fight). You need to exile yourself from your delusions! Wherever YOU are practicing purely, is a little piece of Holy Jerusalem! Instead of adopting the 'squish back in' mind why not see Jerusalem as spreading like an atomic bomb mushroom cloud? God is 'ingathering' into Yisrael. Ingathering into His Fight. Think, if God has a HUGE army, he's not gonna squish the whole army into one little plot is he? That wouldn't be very wise military strategy! That would make the whole army completely vulnerable to attack from all sides! They only have to drop one small 'mother of all bombs' style mini-nuke to wipe out God's Yisrael! Useless! We are ALL homeless Rabbi.

Can you help me out? It’s been my understanding that the Torah does not require a sacrifice for intentional sins. Sacrifices were made for unintentional sins or when a person unintentionally defiled something sacred.
However, a Christian on my FB pointed out Leviticus 6:
'4 when they sin in any of these ways and realize their guilt, they must return what they have stolen or taken by extortion, or what was entrusted to them, or the lost property they found, 5 or whatever it was they swore falsely about. They must make restitution in full, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the owner on the day they present their guilt offering. 6 And as a penalty* they must bring to the priest, that is, to the Lord, their guilt offering, a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value. 7 In this way the priest will make atonement for them before the Lord, and they will be forgiven for any of the things they did that made them guilty.'
Pauline Christians use these scriptures to point out that Jesus became is the atonement for sin as long as the sinner is repentant.
How do I respond to this?
12:23 'Offering' you can do. You are already a priest. And why can't you wear the ephod? 5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the latter days. - Implies a 'return' to the fear of God. 12:30 Ah here we go again. We're waiting for 'the messiah' again. The king will arrive! Everything has to be perfect first! 12:36 I really see it far more as a spiritual exile. "the daily sacrifice, which has ceased as long as before observed and any other sacrifice of slain beasts, as the passover lamb; the Jews not thinking it lawful to offer sacrifice in a strange land, or any where but upon the altar in Jerusalem;" - I can imagine that this would have so in Europe in the old days. But there's no way Synagogues in New York can't have their offering alters. It's a religious right! And who would it disturb anyway. A small alter with proper extractor fans. And not all the Jewish people were exiled. Some of them 'chose' to stay in Babylonia and not return. Why not think of your 'exile' as a healthy expansive dissemination? 12:49 So how can we have a temple now when the Tabernacle hasn't even landed? 13:34 So, but now the animals are slaugthered in the traditional way, so still the offerings can be made. I mean Rabbi, New York is not 'less' of a Jewish city than an anything else city. So you have to transport your offering in a cab from A to B. God wouldn't have a problem with that.
24What shall I do unto thee, O Jacob? thou, Juda, wouldest not obey me: I will turn me to other nations, and unto those will I give my name, that they may keep my statutes. 25Seeing ye have forsaken me, I will forsake you also; when ye desire me to be gracious unto you, I shall have no mercy upon you. 26Whensoever ye shall call upon me, I will not hear you: for ye have defiled your hands with blood, and your feet are swift to commit manslaughter. 27Ye have not as it were forsaken me, but your own selves, saith the Lord. 28Thus saith the Almighty Lord, Have I not prayed you as a father his sons, as a mother her daughters, and a nurse her young babes, 29That ye would be my people, and I should be your God; that ye would be my children, and I should be your father? 30I gathered you together, as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings: but now, what shall I do unto you? I will cast you out from my face. 31When ye offer unto me, I will turn my face from you: for your solemn feastdays, your new moons, and your circumcisions, have I forsaken. 32I sent unto you my servants the prophets, whom ye have taken and slain, and torn their bodies in pieces, whose blood I will require of your hands, saith the Lord. 33Thus saith the Almighty Lord, Your house is desolate, I will cast you out as the wind doth stubble. 34And your children shall not be fruitful; for they have despised my commandment, and done the thing that is an evil before me. 35Your houses will I give to a people that shall come; which not having heard of me yet shall believe me; to whom I have shewed no signs, yet they shall do that I have commanded them. 36They have seen no prophets, yet they shall call their sins to remembrance, and acknowledge them. 37I take to witness the grace of the people to come, whose little ones rejoice in gladness: and though they have not seen me with bodily eyes, yet in spirit they believe the thing that I say. 38And now, brother, behold what glory; and see the people that come from the east: 39Unto whom I will give for leaders, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Oseas, Amos, and Micheas, Joel, Abdias, and Jonas, 40Nahum, and Abacuc, Sophonias, Aggeus, Zachary, and Malachy, which is called also an angel of the Lord.
In the garden God made coats of skins to COVER (kaphar - atone for) the sin of Adam and Eve. The blood of the Passover lamb on the door posts and lintel caused the angel of death to 'pass over' that home. A penitent took a sacrifice to the Temple to atone (cover) his/her sin for a period.
Isaiah 1:11 Gives us God's words regarding the hypocrisy of religious Jewry... "How do your voluminous sacrifices benefit me?" the LORD is asking. "I've had enough of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of well-fed beasts. I don't enjoy the blood of bulls, lambs, or goats."
You could ask yourself why was God fed up with with their sacrifices?
The writer of the book to the Hebrews states " For the law .... can never with those sacrifices which they offered continually year by year make the comers thereunto perfect. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins."
The previous chapter in Hebrews is also highly relevant.
@Paula Wallace - Tovia should DISABLE ALL COMMENTS. Another well respected Rabbi on youtube finally did just that at my urging.
I see no benefit to allow these comments by antisemitic idol worshippers to continue. It perpetuates Chillul Hashem - a desecration of G-d, His Torah and His people, the Jews.
@Strava 89 - then I must tell you that you are either not doing a good job of moderating or maybe you are simply unable to discern between good and evil as it concerns and affects the Jewish people, Torah and almighty G-d.
@Strava 89 - self serving to suit yourself.
This is why I struggle with the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. They are angry hateful and blood thirsty.
Rabbi Singer fails to explain how forgiveness is possible after the destruction of the temple. The Hebrew Bible (the Old Testament) shows that forgiveness is obtained only through blood sacrifice and repentance.
Christians find the answer in Isaiah 52:13-53:12. The sacrificial system is fulfilled by the death of the Messiah:
But he was wounded because of our sins, Crushed because of our iniquities. He bore the chastisement that made us whole, And by his bruises we were healed. (Isaiah 53:5, New Jewish Publication Society Tanakh, 1985)
Do a quick google search and you‘ll find many verses and sometimes entire chapters in the OT where YHWH says he hates sacrifice and prefers sincerity of faith. Even the New Testament says that the animal sacrifices of the OT did not remove sins but served only as a reminder of them (Hebrews 10:3-4). So, if sacrifice is necessary for forgiveness, is every Jew who died before the time of Jesus in hell because of the insufficiency of their sacrificial system?
How can someone accidentally commit a sin? My understanding is that sin is an intentional act. He also doesn't explain how shedding animal blood for whatever reason cleanses sin.
Thanks Rabbi for your enlightenment, G-D bless you!
I doubt this was a question asked by Christian. The question is more inline with a Muslim worldview. There is no sacrifice in Islam.
