Rabbi Tovia Singer Discredits the Doctrine of Original Sin and Reveals Nudity's Significance in Eden

  • According to a core doctrine of Christian theology, humanity’s sinful state resulted from the "Fall of Man." This hopeless condition has been characterized by the Church as a “sin nature” of all humans through collective guilt. This teaching is based primarily on the epistles of Paul and the writings of Augustine. What does the Torah really state about the events in the Garden? In this fascinating broadcast, Rabbi Tovia Singer responds to the core Christian Claim that mankind inherited man’s sinful nature and is forever severed from God as a result of the “Original Sin.”
Moreover, Rabbi Tovia Singer tackles mysteries in the Creation Account in the Book of Genesis. While its stories are deeply familiar to us, their meaning often seem shockingly elusive. What are we to make of the relationship between our first parent’s knowledge of good and evil and their awareness of their nudity? Why did God provide skins for our first parents? In this show, Rabbi Singer takes you on a journey of discovery into the text - revealing layers of meaning that are both startling and profound.

@@voiceInDetroit Jesus abolished the law (sermon on the mount). That's all I need to see that he is not Moshiach. And no, Jesus did not "elevate" or "fulfill" the law, it is stated that he came to turn families against each other. That is not the role of Moshiach. And lastly, the fact that he is to "return" to fulfill the things he didn't should be the biggest red flag ever.
That's like me claiming i'm Moshiach and if I were to do miracles (which is not the signs you should be looking for in Moshiach), and claim that I were to return there would be no difference between me and Jesus.
May HaShem bless you and your family!

Steve Miller The sermon on the mount (essentially) states that if one even thinks of adultery, then they have committed it in their heart. And also that if someone loses their “saltiness” which resembles goodness, then they can no longer be salty, or good.
This is not found in the Jewish scriptures. More over, Paul elaborates on this idea and says that because of this exact reason, no one can do good, so no one can follow the laws of the Torah, therefore no one can come to G-d on his own accord. And that is why you need the blood of Christ to come to G-d and to be able to live a righteous life. I hope I am not misrepresenting his ideas because I grew up christian in a protestant church.
My point is that Deuteronomy 30:11-17 clearly talks about this exact situation.
We are able to keep the law, it is not far, and that G-d has set before us life and good, and death and evil. It is for us to choose to either do good or evil. This leaves no room for the blood of christ to atone for us, because we just simply don’t need it. And verse 17 also states that if we don’t do good we will go astray worship other deities.
So at the end of the day, the sermon of the mount presents a problem, the fact that we can’t keep torah. This idea is anti-semitic.
If you still have any questions feel free to continue the conversation. I hope that you may be able to see the point in why Jews do not accept the teachings of Jesus and Paul.

    • @Majobri
      @Majobri 4 года назад +3

Steve Miller Interesting version there, I do disagree on your interpretation of the verses however. Matt 5:27-28 says looks to lust after her, or in more simpler terms, looks at a woman lustfully. This is indeed a willful act, but let’s say I have this desire, I see a very “hot” girl and start thinking about what things I could do with her and really REALLY want to follow through with these desires. According to this verse, I have sinned. But according to Jewish scriptures, I have not sinned, not that these thoughts are good but if I realize how wrong these thoughts are and NOT follow through with these thoughts, then I have not sinned.
But this verse has no room for realizing your wrong, it says that once you think and desire, it’s over, you sinned. This idea is not in the Jewish scripture.
Secondly, Matt 5:13 says it is no longer fit but to be cast out. I think this is very clear in saying your saltiness is gone and that’s it.
Ezekiel is all about making the wicked repent so they may become righteous again. This idea also is not compatible with the new testament, but that’s not the point.
The point is that the sermon on the mount states that Jesus came not to abolish, but he teaches things that are against the Jewish scriptures. These things cannot be reconciled.
      So let me recap
NT: If you willfully think about adultery, you have sinned, even if you have not actually committed the adultery
Jewish scriptures: If you think willfully about adultery but turn from these thoughts and ways, you are righteous
NT: You are the salt of the world, if you deviate from the right path, you lose your salt, and that’s it, you are no longer fit to salt food
Jewish scriptures: You are the light of the world, if you deviate from the right path, then repent and turn from your ways. If you do, then you are forgiven and you are considered righteous. If you continue down the evil path then you will be considered wicked BUT you will always have the option, and you are urged to, repent and turn from your ways.
I hope you see the difference between these two views. Of course this isn’t the entire sermon but the sermon states that Jesus came to fulfill the scriptures, these verses that he teaches go against the Jewish scriptures. Are you able to see this?

Original sin is a catholic doctrine which unfortunately many evangelicals have adopted, too. It is based on passages that claim that all men have sinned. Of course all in scripture does not mean without exception. Sin entered into the world through Adam and because of it the ground is cursed and women have more pains in childbirth. We pass on sin because once Adam and Eve sinned, they passed it on to their children in the way they brought them up. Clearly they didn't make a good job in bringing up Cain, otherwise Cain wouln't have killed his brother. We know today that we are heavily flawed individuals because of our upbringing. Scripture says that if a parent trains a child when he is young, he will turn out rightous later in life. Yet most parents fail their children and that is the reason why this earth is in such a mess. So many people with a chip on their shoulder from their childhood. How do you break this cycle. Sin has to be dealt with. Something had to happen to enable people to overcome the fleshly nature which cries for revenge when offended and lusts for things it isn't allowed to have. The law brought it out into the open how flawed mankind is. Jesus did not come to bring a new law, but he enabled us to keep the law. Now, the law is not really the Torah, that was given to the Jews as a disciplinarian. The law is the new nature when we are borne again through Christ Jesus and our desires change to want to do right. Not only that we want to keep the law of God, but God also enables us to keep the law. Rabbi Tovia pointed out that in the letter to the Hebrews a passage is quoted that misses an important aspect, that mankind is able to do keep the law. This is true, and that why the human race is doomed, because even though they could keep the law, they didn't. So what stopped them. Sin. Where did sin come from? Through Adam and Eve. Because sin is real, and only real because people can do right and choose to do wrong, there was real guilt that needed to be dealt with. Jesus dealt with it and thus fulfilled the prophecy in Isaiah 53. This is the first coming, as the suffering servant, where he prepares a people for himself that when he comes back, the earth will be prepared for it through those who preached the Word of God and were willing to even die for it. For Israel the Messiah is still coming, and when he comes, he comes to conquer and bring peace to the whole earth. This is for Christians the second coming.

The lesson being: satan will tempt humans and as a result when you sin you repent sincerely, God will forgive you.

Please don't try Ps.51:5 as we are born in sin. Those who employ Psalm 51:5 to buttress the doctrine that sin is inherited from one’s mother are faced with a serious problem. Christian stories even says Jesus was both conceived by and brought forth from a human mother (Luke 1:31). If original sin is inherited from one’s mother, Christ had it. If, however, someone should suggest that depravity is received only from the father, Psalm 51:5 cannot be used to prove it, for it mentions only the mother! The truth of the matter is, the doctrine of original sin is not Biblical. It had its origin in the writings of the so-called “church fathers” in the post-apostolic era. Such men as Tertullian (160-220) and Cyprian (200-258) first formulated the doctrine and it was later popularized by Augustine and John Calvin. Those who accept the plain testimony of the sacred Hebrew Scriptures will reject this error. You have your own opinion, so its your free will to choose, your way or Gods way. Shalom

If Jesus was God? then to whom did he prayed to? And even cried to in his prayer...begging God to pass the cup from him..and save him?
If Jesus was God? why does he need to pry to himself?
If Jesus was God? then He slept with his own mother Although us humans were forbidden to commit incest by God Himself?
why God needs to be a baby? Couldn't HE JUST WALK ON EARTH IF HE WANTED TO?
Why did God need a human to be able to come on this earth? When God is able to do anything He just say " Be". And " it is ".
If Jesus is God? Then His Mother is greater than Him for she took care of him when he was weak? And God is All-Powerfull.
If Jesus was God and came to Earth? And had a memory loss of ones being a God? Who was taking care of the Universe?
If Jesus was God? According to your beliefs how come the Roman and Jews were able to kill him? And torture Him before hand? Then they are more powerful than He is? And God is All-Powerfull in His Might.
Does God Die? Even if Jesus was Not God but His Son wouldn't the Part God in Him protects him from death?
How can you trust God if He let (according to your beliefs) His own Son to be tortured and killed by his enemies? How can God ignore His own Son's prayer? Well Jesus had faith in God...and he said if you have faith and ask God...you're prayer will be answered?
If you believe that Jesus was Crucified? then Jesus is NOT the Christ. According to the Bible Christ cannot be killed.
Believing in Jesus as the only begotten Son of God well David was way before him and he was one of the begotten Sons of God :
" The Lord said to me, " thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.". (Psalms 2 :7)
Christians When you follow some one then you have to follow his teaching. Ask yourself what did Jesus say to do?what did he say about God? People if you don't have the right information you are bound to blasphemy against God Him even with out knowing and that is very dangerous. Know God so you can differentiate the truth from false...that is why we have the Prophets to teach us. Know that God is Just and fair. Believing that God will put Sins on someone innocent and never committed any Sin himself is saying God is not Just and unreasonably unfair...and that's a blasphemy against Him the Most High? Believing that Jesus Christ was Crucified? You are saying that God cannot be trusted even if you love Him..He is not worthy of this love...and how can you submit and surrender your self to Him? to a God that is so cruel and unjust?
To believe that Jesus died on the cross it means that he is not the Christ....and Muslims believe in him to be the Christ (the anointed one or the chosen one). That is all what the word Christ means.
A believing person have to have total faith in God Almighty the Creator of the Universe to be All- Merciful, The God that you can Blindly Trust, He is the All-Powerfull,All-knowing. No bunch of Jews or the might of the Romans Can defeat God's Commands or His wishes. If God Wants to Save His Christ He Only Say "Be" and the Christ is saved.
Why you don't believe in Jesus to be the true Christ and believe in the Power of God and His Justice...and that God saved him from his tormenters. Adam and Eve in the Garden...were learning the lesson of Satan "their mortal enemy" and his ways in diverting them and their offsprings from Obeying God's Commands. God after the Creation was teaching them. They learned the lesson and recognized their mistake and repented and God forgive them and sent them to Earth where they are ment to be for a time that God ordained for them...this is part of God's plan for humans. There is no Original Sin. How would God in His wisdom, Mercy and justice punish them when they don't know right from wrong? They have to first learn and then and only then if they disobey God then He Have Every right to Punish them. Paul never met Jesus Christ in his life. When He comes and say Jesus Christ came to him in a vision or a dream before you believe him you have to examine him first? Am I right? If for real Jesus (pbuh) came to him...then he will carry what Jesus said and taught...but he didn't?
He came with a total different teachings of his own and right out said it in the Bible.
Did God if you believe Jesus is God changed His mind? Did Jesus if you believe that he is the Son of God went against God instructions? Why you guys don't ask questions? And search it for your own Salvation?

Humanity's inherent sinfulness and the need for divine grace is a central teaching in Scripture. The story of Adam and Eve underscores the profound impact of sin on human nature. King David also acknowledges this struggle with sin when he laments, "Indeed, I was born guilty, a sinner when my mother conceived me" (Psalm 51:5, NRSV). This acknowledgment highlights the inborn nature of sin affecting every human being from birth.
Despite this inherent sinfulness, God’s mercy and grace are emphasized throughout Scripture. Psalm 103:12 illustrates this by declaring, "as far as the east is from the west, so far he removes our transgressions from us," showing God's willingness to forgive.
The struggle with sin does not equate to permanent separation from God. Instead, Scripture invites repentance and offers redemption through faith. Jesus’ sacrifice is seen as the means by which believers are reconciled with God, as stated in Romans 5:8: "But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us." This underscores a relationship based on grace, not human perfection.
The persistence of earthly suffering does not negate the redemptive work of Christ. The Christian hope lies in the promise of ultimate restoration and eternal life, as expressed in Revelation 21:4, which speaks of a future where "death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more." This forward-looking faith is built on trust in God’s promises rather than visible outcomes in the present world.
Individuals in the Bible, such as King David and the prophet Nathan, exemplify the power of genuine repentance and God’s readiness to forgive. David’s confession, “I have sinned against the Lord” (2 Samuel 12:13), followed by God’s immediate forgiveness, illustrates that righteousness is accessible through repentance and divine grace.
While human effort alone is insufficient for attaining righteousness, Scripture assures believers that God's grace is sufficient. Through faith, individuals can experience spiritual renewal and maintain a relationship with God, who is “faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). This ongoing process of transformation, powered by divine love and mercy, embodies the hope and assurance found in the Christian faith.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I bless you all!

I don't know what church that lady went to but I've never been to one that says you cannot change and you can't repent and you can't pray and you won't be saved and you're kicked out of heaven forever. I have never heard that. Furthermore for my own understanding the first set of sins that Jesus removes is fear, shame, blame, guilt, and covering one's own backside for fear of punishment. All God wants is truth and honesty from us. That he can deal with. Now we may however experience the consequences of our actions. I had to give someone a warning once, and I did, and God corrected me. He said the message stands but anytime I give a warning it's not about the punishment it's more like get off the tracks a train is coming! He said, everything I do and say is done out of love and it should be delivered out of love not fear of punishment. So, we can learn a lot from having a relationship with Jesus because he opened the door to have a personal relationship with God the Almighty. And each individual can be taught by him. it's not sin as we Define sin that keeps us from moving forward, the fear, guilt, shame, and unforgiveness. Their biggest sin was what kept them from their appointment with God.

The curse of child bearing pain and the labor of man was actually paid for on the cross, I have seen many Christians and prayed form many Christians that believed they are not under that curse any more and they did not have any pain whatsoever...before you lie again and say that's not true...remember the Hebrew women in Egypt how God removed the curse from them...I also know many Christian men that do not have to sweat and labor before they provide food and shelter for their family...also because they believed they are no longer under that curse, they enjoys the blessing of God...is that not what happened to Abraham??? that being said, the curse was not the primary reason Jesus died on the cross! one was to remove the power of sin nature in man...two was to restore relationship that was broken in Adam between Adam and God...man now have the right of sonship and can have intimate with relationship with God just like Adam had before he fell from glory. Man can be wrapped in the glory of God once again. The other main reason was to give man power over the Serpent, the deceiver. Jesus gave us authority over principalities and powers so we can overcome every temptation he will want to bring to us again. So Rabbi, indeed you have no knowledge of scripture! You are here praising the Serpent and saying he did something good!!! what a blasphemer you are sir!!! I am sure Satan loves you very much because you love him and you are doing a great job for him, that was what the Pharisees and Sadducees did to crucify the messiah and kill many of the prophets, they never bet on Jesus rising and getting the victory...whether you like it or not sir...One day you will bow and your tongue will confess Jesus Christ as the Lord over all!!!!!
    2. Also, Jesus did not fail. You can only receive all that by faith!!! We only receive the mystery of the cross. We dont also say, he only died to save you from hell...He repaired the relationship, that was why the veil in your temple tore into two when He died so we can have direct access...we dont need you Rabbis or priest or father...we can hear Him and walk with Him, we have power over sin and you can actually be without sin through the help of the Holy Spirit!...I am a living example of that sir!
Abraham was never righteous, He obeyed God and was counted to him as righteousness. David was not righteous... He was loved by God and he was a man after His heart....all the men you mentioned were upright men in loving and obeying Hashem and that was why they were considered rightoues...no man can be righteous except the Lord makes them...who is the Lord...Jesus! Also, Isaiah said all you righteousness are filthy rags before God! when Isaiah saw God in chapter 6 of Isaiah what did he see after seeing Hashem? He saw his sinfulness and how filthy he was before Hashem1 What did Hashem do? He told the angel to cleanse him and cleanse his tongue. When Zechariah saw Joshua the priest before the Lord what did he see/ The priest was standing with his garment filthy and Lucifer standing beside the Priest to accuse him and not allow him to build the wall of Jerusalem...what did the Lord do? He told His angels to put new priestly robe on him and new turban on his head...so your righteousness is nothing before Hashem! When the Christian talk about righteousness, they are not talking about your moral standard because no one have that...they are talking about your right to stand before Hashem...no Jew have the right to stand before Him without atonement...even your priest will have to make atonement for himself before he goes into the holy of holies or else, that will be his end... they will have to drag him out with the rope on his leg...Now Jesus gave us that right to stand before our Father(Hallelujah!!!) we can go into the holy of holies without shame and condemnation because we go with His righteousness and not our...No one is righteous, no, not one!!!

Abraham was made righteous because of his faith not because he kept the law. He was before the law. David was a man after G-d’s own heart because he could repent and accept he was sinful before G-d, obviously not because he kept the laws since he committed adultry amongst other things.

Talking about David: he wrote Psalms 119- according to the 22 Hebrew letters per stanza; he composed it and elevated the (mistranslation) LAW=should be TORAH in Hebrew which means instructions on how to live a godly life. Love of TORAH by learning it brings one to attain the highest level of spirituality to get closer to G-D. You can not have faith without the TORAH= how can you believe in someone you have not heard or known. That is the job of the TORAH= given to Moses at Mt. Sinai which sustains the world.

Really, this is the best answer that you can give, God tells them what they may and may not do, they disobey and it a blessing. When Adam sins he did not get in fellowship with God, he lost that fellowship. Christ bring back that fellowship of man back to God. God walked daily in the garden with Adam and Eve. Why was he expelled if he was still in fellowship with God. You are so blinded by your own conceit so can't see what Paul was saying. Paul never ever cut out the word of God, he established it by the Power of Christ. I cannot believe that your supposed to be a Rabba a Teacher of the Torah and you can't give a better reason for the fall of Adam or Eve. Where is there a blessing in pain, where is the blessing in hardship. The only reason we are made to suffer those things is because of original sin.

Nothing helped but one day she went to church visit and a minister asked for her to come forward. She was 47 at time and she passed away at 71 but never drank since that time.

Rabbi that is a terrible line of reasoning, with respect but some child might find that influential but really. Women should now labor free deliveries or whatever you meant by difficulty conceiving. That proof is idiocy. Jesus repaired the sin in the lifetime , by the point of returning to the Creator at the Judgement. The idea that Satin continues to walk the earth isn't a defect to the redemption brought by Jesus but a continuation of the freewill of man. The more I listen the worse the arguments. But God Bless because some good comes out of all that there is.

Before "English" was a proper language, words from multiple origins were often combined to become what is commonly called "old english." "Apple" comes from latin "ad" and norse "fell," combined ("ad fell") which means "to fall." Over time, "ad fell" became "apple." "Fructus ad fell" means "fruit that falls" from the tree. It did not originally mean one specific genera of fruit tree. As opposed to berries ("fructus beri") which means "fruit which is plucked." The original latin term for "evil" is "nocens." Later, because the paintings depicted apples ("malus" in latin), people started using the latin word for apple to mean "evil."

Just for everyone to know the West believes in original sin.. not the East (Orthodox). Doctrine of original sin etc total depravity predetermanism.. came in the 4th-5th century from Augustine, Aquinas, Luther , Calvin later. The West believes we are tainted.. the East doesn't believe that.. we don't bear the guilt of the first sin/ancestral sin but we do bear the consequences with death being chief.. . reconcile us back to God.. every man bears his own guilt.. want to learn about Christianity look into Orthodoxy.. never look at the West and especially the protestants.. Can two walk together except they agree?

I wish Muslim Apologists can Learn the Bible from Jewish Rabbis this can help us refute Christianity very easy.
Every time I study Judaism It strengthens my faith in Islam.
It's as if what was revealed to Prophet Muhammad is exactly the same to what was revealed to Israeli Prophets.
In actual fact Islam and Judaism are actually one faith. We just differ on the issue of Prophet Jesus and off which it will be put to rest in the return of Jesus.
Sabbath or Jumah, Jesus will sort that out.
We should not let these minor differences(Jesus, sabbath/Jumah) devide us.
Our belief in Hashem/Allah already unites us.
This is our strongest and fundamental commonality that we should hold onto.
As long as we agree with God then the rest does not matter.

This showed how the mysteries of god are still unknown among Hebrews and a lot of people. First I would like to point out the contradictions in rabbis arguments. What was adam and eves punishment for their sin? Death, he is essentially saying everyone born since then are born to be immortal or at least if they withstand the satan they will be given access to the tree of life. We all know no one is immortal. If everyone dies aren’t we being punished for their sins and if they repented would god forgive them and give give them access to the tree of life? I’m sure they were sorry they are from that tree
My issue is this he says Christians look at the Old Testament through a Christian lens but my issue is this he and others look at the New Testament and Christianity through the lens of denominations of Christianity that are pagan like Catholicism and not what the apostles left.
Christian at least true Christians will never say that there is nothing man can do to be righteous, he mentioned abram , Paul said what made adam righteous was that he had faith. There was no law given to Abraham for him to keep but Paul said he was righteous.
Man can have faith and that’s the only thing that makes man righteous.
Consider the woman that was found committing adultery, what was her punishment according to the laws?death right? But what did Jesus do? Says that her sins are forgiven. Was any drop of Jesus’ blood spilled at that time? Therefore it is faith in god through Jesus Christ is what forgives sin and makes one righteousness
Jesus said he didn’t come to change anything that was written but to fulfill it. Righteousness in the Old Testament is different from the righteousness Jesus taught. Hating someone would not warrant any punishment in the tenakh but Jesus taught that it is murder. Lusting after someone wouldn’t get you stoned in the tenakh but Jesus taught it is adultery.
I want to talk about the serpent. Was this a satan ? The Bible says let no man say god tempts him to do evil or sin. We are drawn away by our own lust. We are afflicted though and if there was an agent who tests men to sin but only afflicts you. To test your faith but not with sin. Job was afflicted but wasn’t tempted with sin. However this creature in genesis tempts man to sin. The same that tempted jesus after his godly affliction for he was fasting unto god. And that was the case with job, afflict this man and he will turn on you satan said. But eve was out right tempted to sin. So who or what is this serpent it’s not an agent of god to afflict men. Whoever entices you to do wrong are themselves evil. So where did this sinful entity come from? Because there is no sin in god and none of his agents is sinful. Where did this serpent come from?
Next this serpent could talk. No getting around that. If snakes today are it’s descendants why can’t they talk ? god didn’t say they will only hiss from now on, so what happened? I argue that the enmity put between seed of the serpent and woman is not between today’s snakes and people today. Snakes today are still in their punishment but that serpent in the garden has many seed not just snakes, but also men. Did you not hear Jesus said the people were like their father the devil? Why do we cry Abba father? We have received that spirit of adoption through Jesus Christ where we called sons of god. If at one time we were not gods children, whose children were we?
Jesus even called the Jews generation of vipers.
What does it mean when the serpent seed shall bruise her seed heel but it shall crush his head?
We haven’t done to Snakes what we haven’t done to any other animal , we dominate as humans and I don’t have anymore of snakes than I do of scorpions or crocodiles.
That prophecy was given to the entity controlling the serpent
Remember the ability to keep gods law in the Old Testament is different when compared to ability to keep the perfect law that Jesus preached so of course in Deuteronomy it will say we can keep it. But god searches the heart of men and it doesn’t matter if you have never killed a man, in the true holiness of the law hate is murder. Which was what Paul and ever Christian preach,

@ 10:43 other side is unverifyable but it can be verified by logic, since soul of the creation is immortal it is gonna leave at some place and that place will not be earth because souls are supernatural by nature so they are gooing to rest or stay at some supernatural place, so we got to conclusion that there is some place After Death, again if a godly good person soul and sinner person soul stays at same place with equality is illogical ,so that place should be parted in two ie one for good one ie heaven and another for sinner ie hell.

Anything else is NOT the true word of God, but is only a blasphemous, twisted, mistranslated, taken out of context, bastardized VERSION of what God said to us, since Christianity REFUSED to learn the original Hebrew given to us by God. THIS is how the false, pagan religion of "Christianity" came to be.

Rabbi Tobia, I love your passion for the Hebrew language and Judaism, but the biology of conception...one or more of a man's sperm cells uniting with one or more of a woman's egg cells...is totally painless. And, considering the size of a full term infant and diameter of a woman's birth canal (vagina), it's not surprising that the physical act of giving birth can be extremely painful, and can be lethal for the pregnant woman in rare cases. Those are biological facts, just as true today as they were long before the authors of the Hebrew Bible began creating their stories and writing them on parchment. Their stories were their HONEST attempts to explain the mystery of life you and I are living today. That mystery will never be less mysterious for the simple reason that the more we learn about the mystery of life, the more we find out that we don't know. There is no end to mankind's search for the truth about a reality that is both INFINITE and ETERNAL. We live for a finite amount of time, then we die, and eventually our bodies decompose ( "return to dust"). That supernatural aspect of me that enables me to conceive and transmit this message, my conscious mind, vanishes when my brain's biochemical activities stop. Do I have a 'soul' that will continue to exist after my body returns to dust? I sure hope so, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to know with the same certainty that we known that God's final creation, a nameless woman, becomes pregnant after she has been insemminated by a man. Was that man named 'Adam' and the woman named 'Eve'? Of course, that's what the author of Genesis tells us in the Old Testament collection of stories!!!!!!
I love you kind and gentle Rabbi, but you're looking deeply into an infinite hall of mirrors with no end in the eternity of time, and no two authors have ever seen the same mystery.😇
