Always admired Rafa’s passion, tenacity, work ethic, and the mentality he had towards the game! Never broke a single racket throughout the years! May he enjoy retirement with his family!
Rafa is the most respectful player on the court, he respects his opponent like he said.. he is tough, brilliant, humble and a man with his head on his shoulders. he has so much wisdom. an emotional farewell.
He is the greatest. He gives so much joy to tennis and us to watch him. His energy passion and commitment to the game is so amazing. We will miss him so much as there never will be another Rafa. Thank you Rafa for making the game so beautiful and the contribution you made. There was no moment of dullness when you were on court the life you bring to the game is so special. Thank you. We love you. ❤ all Blessings
I am and always will be a federer fan but i have utmost respect for rafa. Mamy people say roger or nick are the most talented players but to give you your absolute best in every match eith the atitiude he has is impossible to have nobody in tennis or any other sport has a person who can give his best always. He had a great career. Respect to him and what he has done love him and all his rivals. Today the sport lost a legend
He has never smashed a racket in anger, which cannot be said of his competitors Federer and Djokovic... He is a lovely person as well as having solid self-control and positive thinking.
He is probably the best example of maximizing everything he has by channeling all this energy into positive feelings and not dwelling in negativity. The self control over such a long period especially considering his style of play is unreal.
@@darrionrobson8004 lol what a load of rubbish. Nadal picks his behind and then sniffs those same fingers on every single point a hundred times a match on live TV. What sort of "mental strength" is that? If a toddler did that twice a day they would be sent for intervention. I'll take the 2 racket breaks a year over that tbh 😂😂
Well, his past interviews have soured the opinion of him. Also, he hasn’t really been meaningfully around for a few years. So he retired a while ago in my mind.
For mental strength in tennis, the same principle of Buddism that you only live in the present moment applies, which means you forget about past points, you don't worry about future points. You only think of playing the current point. I remember in the movie Troy, when Hector said to Paris before his duel with Menalaus, "you think of your sword, his sword, and nothing else." That's how we should play every tennis point. There's only your racquet and the ball coming at you. Nothing else. Djokovic did a lot of meditation to practice just this.

@@huzcer Mate, a grownup shouldn't worry about such trivial matters. You are responsible for what you choose to dwell on. But immature people prefer to find the culprits for their discomfort. It's always easier, isn't it? It doesn't require any effort, and it reinforces our mediocrity.

To be so passionate about the sport and still control emotions and outbursts is such a rare thing. Congratulations on a spectacular career!!

Gracias Rafa ❤
Happy retirement LEGEND>
Breaks my heart to see him go😢. But what a human.
He's not gone. He will be the Saudi Arabia Tennis Ambassador for years to come.
Absolutely! He is the Goat of tennis… 200% ❤❤❤
No he is not, Nadal himself said that Novak is the Goat.

That's why Novak will never be a GOAT for me. Terrible behaviour for a champion

He’s pompous about not being pompous😂 Give me the realness of Djokovic any day. Who cares about some smashed rackets.

If that's all it takes to put you in such a state, you need intervention just as much 😅. Your mental strength is non-existent
