If you’ve landed here tonight you’ve arrived with a heavy heart. RIP JTE
Crazy to hear this.
Got that right
My JTE earworm. RIP
Gutted.....😪
That comment hit me tonight. This guy is keeping me going in some way, but he’s gone. Rest in Peace Justin, I pray.
HEY NASHVILLE, THIS IS FUCKING MUSIC
Some lights burn twice as bright but half as long. Rest in peace, Justin. We'll miss you.
I like that. Well said.
Rest in peace cowboy. So glad I got to see you play live 3 times while you were with us. This will always be one of my favourite songs. 💔
Four shows: Fort Worth, Denton, Maumee, Columbia. This was the one I had to listen to when I found out.
Only just learned this guy passed away. I'm from the UK and had his album Harlem River Blues on repeat for months and months. Incredibly sad. RIP JTE.
I am currently having an obsession with his music. One of the greatest for sure.
Ha! So am I. (Just noticed that you posted that comment three years ago. Hey, what can I say, I'm slow.) BUT I have tickets for the day after tomorrow. He's playing Brooklyn! And I'm going!
Man…… I miss this guy !!! 😢
that's true americana, what ever you wanna call it, it's good music.
I LOVE this version. I haven't heard him get quite that sound on the guitar before.
The warmer, intimate sound recording works so well.
It's actually the guitar. It has a much richer tone than some of the other instruments he uses.
I can't stop listening to this song, why isn't this song huge? !?
Because it's not poppy and
He was a normal human
This guys is/was a legend. Absolutely brilliant.
Got to see his father live. Was really hoping to catch a live show from you. R.i.P JTE
Miss this guy so much
By far the best version yet!
Thank you for being you!
RIP what a great song. On a side note, that poor D string..
It's taking a beating fo sho!
I never like country music but I really like this guy. His voice is great.
Justin, won't lie,I don't lie.I love ur Dad.I happened on you by mistake, but What a Mistake. I Am ur dad's age and I grew up on Bruce and want to Hear You do Thunder Road. But you ARE ur OWN,Justin and U are just So Damn Good. Thank U.lots of love nd loyalty to You
absolutely love this song...so soulful, melodic and moving
Sweet , profound , and sang from the heart. Perfection
I love you Justin
Love that pickin'.
So glad I saw him x2 in New Zealand, just love his music, good a few of his songs on my busking list, just because
Amazing song. I miss your music.
very relaxing....he's in no rush
Justin is awesome and honors his father and Townes well!
Real good Justin. Thank you!
Genius❤
He reminds me so much of Jim Croce, James Taylor, and Van Morrison, in a much different way...Very pleasurable
His phrasing (esp on this album) always reminded me of Elvis Costello... But you're not wrong he's certainly in that line of great Americana players, writers and pickers.
you did so well playing the guitar and plucking and playing bass at the same time on top of singing i really enjoyed the video you got it going on man no joke keep jamin
Look at his movement. That is utter talent. Sheesh
His playing style sounds more appealing on the dreadnaught as opposed to the 000's he typically plays, IMHO. Awesome song BTW.
Just him and guitar, simple but just right. Plus I like how the martin sounds with him compared to his epiphone for these kind on songs.
RIP
Damn sad news !!!! 38 ain't no age !!!!!
I feel like we just met
wonderful
Peace to all
I have a similar guitar as he, I´m so happy!!
Is that a DRSGT
I would kill for someone to tab this out...
well said
tab it yourself. that's how you learn!
Probably in memory of Townes Van Zandt who he is named after......if ya dont know Townes you should check him out
Dude I wish the ghost of the people I know who went out the way you did and me..
Cod have a night in Brooklyn
Or
In my home town Seattle
I need that guitar.
You need? That's pretty selfish. Actually it's pretty weak. Me, me, me, need, need, need, want, want, want. Get a grip on yourself man.
hehe ok let me rephrase it: I really really want that guitar.
Bill McKain Then there's this comment
God, thou art a very sad man.
Lookout! Stormtrooper in the corner behind him. [:¤>
So baby put your hands on me.....
Ok, Justin.
it is his real name. His full name is really Justin TOWNES Earle.
1 person watched this video whilst upside down.
Charlie Patton
Bruno Anthony get off this train right now!
RIP JTE. Awful loss.
needles slow the tempo...takes a talent to make a half speed sound that good
Neil Darling you're a jag
Ain’t that the truth
hi
Is that a Martin DRSGT?
Or a D1
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TAB THIS? Or anyone know of one?
Just watch and stop and start that's what everybody else would do if they didn't know it. Some things take a little effort my friend.
i bet 90 percent of the strings he breaks are his D string
This is a slowed down version.
man he is really trying to rip that D string off haha
ehh no. You can pluck the shit out of the bass strings. The trebles are the ones that snap.
Ha right obviously, but it's still not HIS name is it? It was Townes Van Zant's before it was his, I doubt the tattoo refers to himself
Nah he just has Townes (google JTE Inked Mag).
And we all know that's really not his name.
He inherited talent, but I think he also inherited demons.
if you tab it out 2 wives will die.
I can do you one better than the tab...you're watching the video...he is showing you exactly how to play the song. Voila....stop being lazy
Does he have his own name tattooed across his collarbone? That's kinda douche-y.
Looks like his middle name Townes, which his dad gave him to honor the great singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt. So I would take it to be a tribute to him.
I have my name tattooed above my butthole because I’m kinda douche-y.
