How many cups/quart is the instapot? I don’t know what size to buy
Some people can’t tolerate hot staff hence add tomatoes to doro wet. If you are one of them, do it this way or just cook with onions only. Be appreciative of our sister.
This looks awesome, I wish I understood Amharic. Do you have the recipe in English?
Cook Onion for 30 minutes and quick release
Wash chicken with lemon/lime and set aside
Add tomato to onion and cook for 15 minutes
Add oil
Add Berbere
Dont need to add water
Add a little tomato paste
Continue to saute
Add salt, garlic paste and kibbeh butter and continue to saute
Prepare the eggs (hard boiled)
Cut the chicken peaces and add to sauce
Increase the temperature to high until chicken is fully cooked
Add more Kibbeh butter and lower heat
Add the boiled eggs and saute until the eggs get infused with the flavor of the sauce

So I guess the only short cut is cooking the onions
Because it takes time to cook the Berbere I expected more time saving using the instant pot
Why not preasure cook the chicken? even for 2 minutes?
Yea I was thinking that because she said it take her 4hours 😩😩😩 that’s too long still. But I saw for other foods when u pressure cook chicken the meat comes off the bone

According to “ balemo” in Ethiopia to make good and real doro, you do not add tomatoes or tomato paste and oil. Sorry to say you are not teaching the right one.
