Vox MV 50 clean is giving me a lot of satisfaction, minimum encumbrance ( with a BC 108 ) , and very enjoyable sound ! Thanx for this video . Greetings from Italy, Patrick
As much as I enjoy your videos reviews opinions and views your actual playing is such a blessing to me marvellous talent Jonathan. Such a nice chap. Kind regards to your all your family. Rev Gary
Its yesterday [ 18 jun ] I found you here in YT. Watch almost all your videos and found that you are very straight and experience guitar player...love to hear MORE ABOUT PEDALs/ AMPs SETTING..THANK YOU..
Hi Johnathan. Thank you for sharing with us a fantastic video. I commend you and compliment you on your guitar playing at the beginning of the video. It was superb. Thank you once again. Excellent playing. Fellow music lover colleague. Gary from Tasmania.
SkeeterDigs, if you like the sound of the 60's , go on my channel and watch the video " Byrd song treble booster pedal " english language ( there is also an Italian one) , and listen what you can hear with the Vox MV 50 Clean with that little pedal . Do you like the Byrds? The Beatles? The Hollies? The MV 50 clean plus the " Byrd song " will give the sound that you are looking for ! My best regards to you, Patrick from Italy
Hi, Jonathan! I wonder... will MV50 Clean work with acoustic guitar as well (if you send its output to appropriate cab of course... or just with headphones)? What's you opinion?
Thanks Jonathan. I didn't even know the boutique existed. I run a wet/ dry setup and I think i'll purchase 1 boutique and 2 clean. I love a tube amp, but I'm tired of adding to the unintended vintage look, lol. I have a ehx tube compressor pedal. someone recommended running that after my overdrive pedal in my front end effects chain. any how. thanks again.
Hi Jonathan. I love to hear your great playing!!!! The Vox units all sound terrific. I see you're still using the T.Bone SCT-800 microphone. Did you decide that the T.Bone SCT-2000 didn't sund as good to your ears? I'm thinking about buying one, but I'm on the fence as to which is better. Thanks for sharing with us.
Hi! The SCT800 is a all rounder for me...I use it for my VOs, Acoustic guitars and for micing up amps!...The SCT2000 is more for finer vocals..especially for voices that are not so low to mid range. It seems to capture the higher frequencies better. ✌😀
Thanks for the super fast reply. We're on opposite ends of the planet, yet only a few minutes apart!!! Thanks for sharing your experience and insight with the two microphones. I think the "all around" mic will be my choice too. T.Bone SCT800 for the win!!! Take care, and stay well friend.
Thx for the video JK. I have a Vox Tonelab EX multieffect board. It does not sound great with the headphone output. Will it likely sound better through a cab?
Can I do this setup: MV50 headphone/line out-->Any speaker (need to use a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter to connect to the amp). This way I get the sound coming out of the speaker instead of the headphone?
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Sorry I wasn't clear enough. I know these things are meant to be played with a cab. I already have my main amp and planning to buy this as a secondary gear to use as a recording and practice rig late at night to replace my amp sims so I'm not planning to buy a cab for it. Since it has a headphones out, I can essentially take it to another spot in my house and instead of playing through headphones (which I hate), I'd rather play through crappy bookshelf speakers. Will it still work? Or will the sound quality be poor and I'm much better off getting something like an Adio Air GT?
In the recent times we've seen several major brands bringing on the market new series of solid state amp, searching the tube tones whilt lighter/smaller boxes. Boss Katana, Fender Master Tone Blackstar ... how do they compare to the Vox MV series ?
Hii sir, i have cab simulator pedal and i want still use my mv50 on my pedals chain. Where should i put the cab sim, after mv50 or before mv50 (like after my distortion pedal). Note: i put my mv50 at the end of my pedal chain (after reverb). Thanks

Sorry for the guitar going out of tune @ the demo section :)
The total amount of knowledge you gave us is much much worthy than a two or three cents out of tune... So you're good!

Lovely playing! An excellent demonstration of the different tonal qualities of the 3 units.
Thank you Lare ✌️❤️
So many different styles of playing, love it.

Every time I hear you say Hi I'm Jonathan I'll give you thumbs up brother even before I hear the video cause I know you rock
Lol thanks Mike ✌️❤️
On a clean amp I have no problem running all effects right into the input. Actually, I prefer it.
Nice!
Great review...like them all would pick the boutique...sounds great clean and dirty...sweet guitar cool tones
cool! Yep the boutique sounds sweet too :)
Great demo, thanks! 👍
:)
They all sounded like pretty good practice amps. The Fender model came closest on the sound duplicating I think. You played well as always, good demo.
Yep! I really liked the clean model :)
Very good and useful review 👋👋👋👋👋

No effects loop.its a no go for me since I use 4 cable method modulation effects.informative vid.😎...
That's the only gripe I have with the series :)
It's not really a problem for the Clean one. Maybe, not even for the AC since that the Vintage AC15 and 30's didn't had loop either.
