Do we need to paste the photo on the top right corner with thumb impression below it even if its already printed in form?
Also we need to take colored copy or black and white?

I have filled the form and uploaded image and it confirmed that image is successfully uploaded. When the form generated the image comes side ways. Do I have to redo the application or it is okay to leave it like that or can I upload the images again.

Hi, I am a British Citizen applying for OCI on parents basis who are both Indian passport holders but permanent residents in the UK. Is Birth Certificate of both parents necessary or will just their Indian passports be enough as supporting documents for OCI.

Hi there thanks for the video 🙏 I am applying for OCI on my parents Indian proof, a few questions
1) As in my application, I noticed on your video and other channels it does not ask for address proof. It does not state to do so on the official OCI UK related website(s). I have my driving license and so just to be on the safe side which document list can I upload this under.
2) Same with the parent passport; just to be on the safe side which document list can I upload this under.

Just wanted to know do we have to submit our birth certificate for OCI application? I dont have my birth certificate with me.

In high commission london site its says,
(b) If Applicant was born in India and never held Indian passport and travelled on parents
Indian passport:
1. Birth Certificate clearly indicating names of parents (Upload online also)
Mandatory categories are
British passport
Naturalization certificates
Address proof
Employment letter
Marriage certificate
How long it will take to issue an OCI after the application? I know I have to surrender my Indian passport Just received my British passport. Any talkal service available?
No there is no tatkal they might take 3 to 4 months

You have to show renouncing certificate for sure
I think we don’t need to as per the HCI website. Only need the payment receipt

Hi, we are registering for a new OCI. I have a doubt here and appreciate it if someone with experience can advise.
1. Do the high commission in the UK accept photos taken from photo booths with sizes mentioned as 50X50, as the OCI requirement is 51X51?
2. If someone is unemployed, is it ok to explain in a cover letter or should we provide any documents as such? Will unemployed status impact the outcome of OCI acquisition?
3. What kind of address proof should we submit for minors?
4. Do we need to provide a minor with NOC to acquire OCI, as it's required in Canada.
