The Wallowas are incredible! I go there multiple time a year and everyone should come join us for the Hurricane Creek Half Marathon on May 27th! It’s hard to find a more welcoming and supportive group of runners than the ones who run that race!
@@JacksonMeyer Loving your videos! They definitely give me lot of great trip planning ideas!! A lot of the things you mentioned are great and just going way into the mountains there! It’s such a hidden gem of the PNW!
My hometown! Been here since I was 4! Left for 6 years after high school, but then I came back. When you grow up here you take it for granted, then go live in the city and realize the beauty of this place. The winters are good if you’re into skiing or snowmobiling. Definitely better in the summer
This was great!! I’ve been researching the area because I want to explore that part of Oregon. Lived in the Willamette valley for 40 year and have only barely passed through there!
Hello! When you get on a railroader, are you committed for a minimum time? It seemed like once you are on, you have to stay on for a certain number of miles. Is that true? I love your drone shots!
We have been there twice and my kids love this place, I just wonder how the weather is towards the end of September for tent camping? Also the last full weekend of July the have the chief joseph rodeo & you see everyone in there cowboys boots with lots of thing & shops around as well as a parade, the small town feeling was just amazing, my husband and kids didn’t want to come back home to Washington lol 😂 Will definitely try the railroad tracks next time!
That is awesome - and even in September you start to get some cool winter nights and even a few showers, it gets wintery fast. I would love to go to the Rodeo! ;)
IMO, along with CRATER LAKE this is Oregon’s most beautiful lake. Hungry deer came right down to where we were cooking on the south end of the lake & just sat chewing grass in lieu of what we were barbecuing. I had thought them to be Vegan & maybe they just liked the aroma but if any meat had been left…? Who knows. Perhaps the fact that the meat was cooked & not hunted had something to do with its appeal for the deer. Still not certain whether eating meat of any kind will affect a deer’s digestive system.
interesting! and I have to agree with you! This whole area is so awesome, I can't wait to go back, but I don't know if we will this summer, headed to the Oregon Coast for most of the summer weekends ;)
@@gariklaw I refuse to answer any questions on the grounds that it may incriminate me, but those shots were used prior to me being aware that people can’t fly drones in these areas. People (including myself) need to be better drone pilot stewards.

Greetings from Redondo Beach 🇺🇸Nice video. Cheers 🥂
ayyyy I have family in Redondo Beach / Torrance ;) Thanks for the comment!
Thanks like we need more tourists
haha Steve, tourists are our economy.

What ever happened to the old man who lived up in the mountains I’m not sure but eagle cap mountain
I have no idea, I've never heard the tale. Time to do some research lol ;)

No drones in the wilderness 🙄
Correct. Wilderness areas are no-drone areas.
@@JacksonMeyer But then why the drone shots clearly taken in the wilderness 1:14-1:33?
