i dont know in the whole match but in this highlight shows venus is so strong at the baseline but sometimes missed at the net, overall she’s so good.
Arief Muchwan it’s easy to cover half of the court. Tennis is all about the timing. If she is playing single with Sock, She may be able to return one ball, but not another form an opposite side of the baseline. But yet, she did a great job for her part
@@Allen777Di if it’s easier, why did Venus outperform Ram in all areas of this match? Venus had better volleys, better at the baseline, handled the power, pace and serving of Sock better.

No matter. She stands alone with the most gold medals in tennis of any athlete, male or female. Along with her sister. Also, they “lost” this match to Americans. That means as Americans Venus and Rajeev still “won” gold bc they share all medals with their compatriots. Mark it down in the history books.

Mixed doubles tend to attract less viewers, which I think is a shame. It very interesting seeing both gender work together.
Is it just me or is Venus Williams screaming every time she hits, haven’t heard an actual scream in any pro games, but there have been players who made strange sounds when hitting so who knows?

Poison_Hurts well Ram was a last minute alternate because I believe the Bryan’s pulled out for personal reasons... Venus was also a last addition to the mixed because she had unexpected losses in both her other events...

for tennis experts and enthusiasts, could you tell me why in doubles the third set isn't played 'fully' but goes directly to tie-break instead?
It was done in an effort to get doubles more screen time with shorter matches, and to encourage singles players to get involved.
It’s pretty outrageous they would let the gold medal match be determined by a ten-point tiebreak instead of a full third set.

Im curious to know which each individual contributes in skill. My intuition tells me that women are flexible and men are power related, but how could to work intertwined? Or maybe im just way off and yeah.. cuz venus seems like she has power and finesse

Kind of wished it was more "swirl" doubles. It's a little too politically realistic to be athletically engaging.
Tennis was a joke at these Olympics. Not because of the athletes, but the way it was ran, the camera quality, etc. No professional player should need to wave their hands around for a towel like Venus did at the beginning of the video.
So stupid that they wouldn’t let Venus just have the box set for Olympic gold in all tennis events in Olympics. I suppose they still “won” Gold bc they are American too-what’s mine is yours as compatriots at the Olympics. But, no, Sock and Mattek had to tree
