NOT "the rest of the world"! The UK is fine, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium France, Spain, Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Portugal, and MANY, MANY more places are as good or better than the US when it comes to violent crime. This guy goes to all the shit holes in the world so of course those are all bad places to visit....But no one wants to go there so it's not even an issue.

@ he was DeltaForce. The level of Violence is beyond what you normal people understand.
I served 10 years in the Army. 4 enlisted, 6 as an Officer. I deployed multiple times. Twice to Syria with some serious battle scenarios. I was with SOTF, and JSOC.
I watched Delta and Rangers do their thing.
Its not that you have to fight evil with evil (somewhat true) you still have decency (you wouldnt kill a unarmed child, ra** a women)
When Soldiers are placed in real war Situation, they have to becomr savages and animals. Not to do bad things but to fight another man and potentiall having to kill that Person is a level of violence that exists in our nature.
I felt that side of me come out. I wasnt Delta but i know we all have a deep rooted killing machine inside of us. Esp Men.

100% we have to go back to how it used to be. There was a time when RRSPs had to be comprised only of companies owned in the country. We need to bring back all of our own important manufacturing and especially strategic manufacturing, mining, steel production, and it is especially import to keep agriculture locally owned. If there is one single thing that should absolutely subsidized, if necessary, it is keeping agriculture in the hands of family farmers. No farmland should be in that hands of potential adversaries. The extraordinarily wealthy, the WEF/Davos/Bilderburg crowd are pushing Globalization and it is already turning ugly. If I was cynical I'd almost have to wonder if they are trying to end just about all of us.

Yes they all said that Saddam's was a brutal Dictator, but only to those people who questioned, opposed and seen as threat to his authority. They said they went all level of educations, from kindy to College free and some of the brightest were sent to top universities in the world to further their educations, Health care was covered by the government and the society was generally safe to raised a family. Saif my workmate said when the Americans eneterd Baghdad they were screaming their Slogan you are now free and starts your own democratic government. But he said "" JUST IMAGINE ONE DAY YOU WAKE UP NO ELECTRICITY, WATER AND ALL PUBLIC SERVICES JUST STOPPED, MY FATHER WHO WAS AN ENGINEER AND YOUR MOTHER , A TEACHER NO LONGER HAVE JOBS"" YOU and the rest of students cannot go to school anymore., shops and markets were all empty. He said he wished that Americans should no have intervened in Iraq. He said they would rather be living under Saddam's dictatorship but at least they are not starving, with future as long as they don't challenge Saddam's authority. and he added that Democracy only thrive in a well of country.

And the Kurds got free Mustard Gas instead of free school. Of course a Sunni Ba'athist Arab loved living under Saddam, they were taking opportunities away from the rest of the country in a policy of Sunni Supremacy. Outside of the Sunni Triangle in the country, blackouts were common, and rolling brownouts were common since the Iran-Iraq War. He fled because he could no longer enjoy a minority controlled government that is oppressing the rest of the country to enrich his particular in-group, and now had to face a country where he got equal treatment as those he saw as inferior to himself.

That's not what the term Defund the Police was coined for. Police refuse to freeze their budgets or share their budgets with other departments which means other departments can't get the resources they need.
Police shouldn't be called to do mental health checks and wellness checks that's under social services purview. Police officers aren't skilled in what it takes to de-escalate those situations and make sure people are well served as a result please do what they've been ill-trained to do and totally botch those situations. Defund is not about shutting down police It's about funding the appropriate departments so that they can be used in the situations they are needed in.
