One of my favourite things I've ever heard is whenever you see disaster on the news, look for the helpers. No matter how much evil or disasters, you will always find the helpers. It reminds me not all of humanity is bad x
Oh my gosh, this looks amazing! The window cutout with the mushroom layers looks like it’s right out of a fairytale! And when you added those tiny stars it looked so pretty! Each and every page turned out magical! Also I love the ASMR unboxing at the beginning! Let’s all hope for a better world where love and peace always prevail. 💖❤️🕊️✨
I really enjoyed this and think you’ve given me the courage I need to try at least one month black journalling. The mushrooms look really effective and I loved the windows and moons & stars hand drawn illustration. So effective for the cooler months. I’m in the Southern Hemisphere so it will be interesting to see what I can use for spring. Lots of silvery seaside things I think, or unicorns.
Thank you so much! Yes it's definitely daunting to commit to a black paper journal but once you have a go it's not too scary, and there's more stuff that works than you might think, you just need to be okay with using white or light coloured pens for everything. Oh yes that sounds cool, maybe space or planets could work as its not season specific, or something witchy if you like Halloween 😊💕
I had that ladybird book too!! I had forgotten all about it until you described it and then I yelled out "OMG I loved that book!" so loud my partner jumped 😆 We also had one by the same publishers that taught you how colours combined to make new colours - the acetate was red or blue or yellow, and would lay over a coloured picture underneath. My only formal instruction on colour theory 😅 Beautiful setup, btw, and so original. I've just got myself a blackpage, and am looking at all my stationery like 🤔 "well that's not gonna work..." Thanks for the inspiration!
Omg! That's so awesome, I remember that book so vividly 😁 I don't think we had the colour theory one you describe but I'm sure I would have loved it too! Black paper can be tricky but there's more stuff that works than you might think, just takes a bit of experimentation. My September to December 2022 journal was also black if you wanted to go back to those videos to look for more inspo and also Savannah Scribbles uses black journals and her set ups are always so pretty ❤

The Ladybug and Other Insects by Pascale De Bourgoing is the one we both had (I think - it's the one I had, at least!) and the colour theory one was called, inspiringly, 'Colours' and has a very regal toucan on the front. Looks like there are a bunch more I never knew about, including on cats, birds and the seashore... Can you be nostalgic for something you never read??

hi! i've been watching a lot of your videos recently and they inspired me so so much! i started using my normal journal again today and tried bullet journaling again (i gave it up a few years ago) and i had such a great time! it kinda felt like i forgot about real life for and hour while drawing and sticking pretty stickers down and i want to thank you so much! you're videos are so amazing and your monthly spreads are just stunning! also the dutch doors you always do....i am so intrigued to try them aswell.....hopefully i get around to to it next month! i can't wait for your next video but until then, i will catch up in your other ones and journal! thank you! 💗🌼

Archer & Olive make black B5 journals in fabric and “vegan leather” covers and the paper is 160 gsm. They are lovely. Thanks for sharing this. I love how you have set everything up - very inspiring!

Scribbles that matter has a B5 black paper journal. I have one and it's a leather with stars indented on it. I liked it but you are right the leather could get scuffed up. I would still be using mine but I switched to digital which hurt my hand less than gel pens. I'm still using black paper on my color eink tablet. I just made a couple templates in canva to use. I love the mushrooms it looks great with the see through. Use some tweezers for the stickers.

I've tried tweezers with the stickers before and I seem to find it just as tricky, I just need more practice or something 😅 oh that's cool, I've never tried digital journaling before but have heard good things 💕
@@katencecreates Yeah, i know most people don't like digital journaling because the act of writing with a pen is more beneficial. But I have a boox note air 3c, which is a android tablet that has a color eink screen and pen technology built it. It also has a great built in notes software and I have so much fun writing in my journals on it. I could write for hours which I cant do on pen and paper. It's totally changed my journaling habit. I did import black paper with a dot grid on it for my journals which is so much fun to use.
