Yes to the cardinal tetra redo! I have been trying and failing. Need more info on specific water chemistry and temp parameters. Also, the test tubes seem like a lot of messing around. I use a silicone ice cube tray. Super easy.
my best advice is 100% rain or distilled water soaked with peat moss in a relatively warm and dark place. Cardinals dont spawn until they feel comfortable so may take a few days in the breeding containers. Ice tray is a very good idea! I have an obsession with test tubes leftover from my antkeeping days lol
Easiest way of taking the sharp edges of glass is to use an ‘whetstone sharpener’. These are the stones used for sharpening woodworking chisels etc. Simply wet the stone with water and run it down the edge of the glass. Very quick and easy.
