LOVE THE MAGAZINES "PAX" CAN SEE MY SISTER'S MAG'S FROM THE 1920'S GLOSSY AND SO CLEAR. OH HOW I WISH :)
You can actually go online and read some of the old magazines. There is a site where they have uploaded the whole magazine.
What is the address? It would be an excellent addition to learning these decades.
I collect vintage magazines and the art work was truly beautiful, these were some of the very best covers ever produced. I am proud to say I have the Motion Picture magazines with Glenda Farrell and the one with Carol Lombard
What a selection, Bob! Certainly a hard competition to chose a champion when there are so many favorites of mine together. Such a great talent concentrate in forty minutes. In this particular case Johnny Green, Carroll Gibbons and Whiteman are in the top of the rank. The images are awesome too! Thanks!
I like the Green selection a lot, good choice!
Scrappy and Smith -- both vocal greats. Thank you.

YESSS, TSCHAKKAAAH 💪
very good songs every week!
Thank you, glad you like them!
I am enjoying this. It is making my evening complete. Thank you.
You are very welcome and thank you for watching.
How deep is the ocean? How high is the sky? How many records do you have in your collection? A wonderful set of tunes. As allways. And as allways it's difficult to choose the best one. My favourite as always is Rudy Vallee. But this time Poor little flower came first. I'm just mesmerized by this tune. It reminds me of an old russian waltz. I wonder who wrote the music? Thank you for sharing.
The song says it was written by King, Bryan and Castilto (hard to read the last name on the record). I actually don't have a count on the records I own but I have shelves of them and boxes full of them. I also post records that a friend supplies from his collection.
I wonder how long did it take to collect this amount of records? And what triggered your interest in the music of 20-s and 30-s? For me it began with the Armstrong/Fitzgerald records that were available even in the Soviet Union. Then I've be acquianted with Crosby and Sinatra. And then with Gerswin, Berlin and Miller through the pre-war films with Astair/Rogers and Dinah Durbin and the others. And now I'm saying thank you to you for opening even more of this wonderful periode of dancing bands and outstanding singers.
I have been collecting these for about 20 years now. I have always liked old music for some reason. I use to buy tapes back in the late 70's of 30's and 40's music when I was a kid. My brother use to call me a reject from the past. My musical tastes are very eclectic and range from classical to pop music. However, today's music really bores me and doesn't challenge my ear. I really like this period in music because every artist gave the music their own unique interpretation.

Un peu de douceur dans ce monde de brutes.
A bit of softness in this brutal world.
How enjoyable as per, thanks Pax and bonsoir de France.
Welcome as always chinablue C
There are a number of tunes in this set that I'm crazy about -- and the renditions thereof are fabulous: Colonial Club Orch., Adrian Schubert, Casa Loma, Little Jack Little, Sterling Young, Jay Wilbur, Gibbons-Green. I didn't know the Wayne King and John Green numbers, but they are beautiful as well.
My favorites are the Casa Loma and Johnny Green number.
Truly delightful
Wonderful 🥀
Приятно послушать, спасибо.
Thanks again for sharing Bob..
Ir's a wonderful selection..
Dan
Always glad to see you enjoy the posts. There is a new video going up tomorrow Dan.
@@pax41 A new set of tunes tomorrow...?
What a good new Bob..!
@@enthalpiaentropia7804 Don't get too excited Dan, this is a short video with 4 selections from a 1937 British film.
I love your videos man :D
Thank you, glad you are enjoying them!
Easy music to work by.
I should say that the salon style music I can concentrate with but nothing with fast tempo or lyrics.
where DO YOU FIND ALL THESE OLD MAGAZINES & IMAGES? DO YOU SPEND FULL TIME DOING THIS? I SUSPECT SO.
I wish I could spend full time doing this but the channel is ad free and viewer supported only. Their isn't enough viewer support at this point yet to do this full time. The channel was ad supported till about 2 years ago but YT took that away like they did with Pizza Flicks and so many other channels. When it was ad supported I was able to post weekly but now it's only every 4 to 6 weeks. Generally when the channel receives about $100 then a new video is created. There have been a few commissioned by viewers over the past year. I have a lot of old magazines I have found online on ebay but there are a number of free sources online to find images. Pinterest is a very good source. Thank you for watching the channel Kellie.
@@pax41 Thanks for that great answer. I just saw it now. I am listening to your presentations a lot & put many on my playlist: Songs We Like. It's wonderful. Ad free. Wow, what a gift.
Marjorie Logan - where have you been all my life?
Glad you liked the selection and Marjorie. 🙂
Please get rid of the horrible advertisements, they quite ruin everything.
