This inspired an idea: "Unwanted Pokemon get REVENGE", where one person picks a Starter of their choice and the other takes one of the remaining two, then they get to steal an aspect of the first chosen Pokémon from a limited list (like: ability [defaults to Honey Gather], one of its moves [cannot use that move and is limited to 3], 15 of each stat, half of a single stat, one of its types to add to/replace its own [becomes monotyped/normal], its TMs learnset to add to its own). Maybe even add a WILD-CARD of sorts, where each person gets to ONCE steal two things in a round and pick any option (no matter if it has already been picked and not crossing it off the list if it hasn't either).
This sabotaging format has a lot of potential. I hope you can do it a few more times. Also much appreciation to Shady for continuing the legacy of The Bus.

I love ALL of the Gang's videos. I watch Frank, Shady, Vinny, Tobin, Rich, Luke, Dylan, and Pat (of course). And even Colpa and The Don on occasion. Pretty regularly. This is one of the more refreshing ideas that's been presented in the last few months for a "Then We Fight". Such a fun concept and idea. Way to go!
For the Gothetelle, would have argued that the debuff was no stab, not no Psychic moves. As trick is a status move, stab isnt applied and was therefore allowed.

Idea for future video: Choose your starters based on the Pokemon that counters it e.g If Alolan-Raichu is there, you say Krookerdile because Raichu's STABs are countered by Krook's typing. If Arcanine is there, you can say Skeledirge because Skele is resistant to Arc's STAB and main coverage and Bulky

I love how Pat's hyperfixation on the music in the bg when doing reactions is something I catch myself doing as well. The DBZ Budokai music in round 3 perked my ears up like Link's. Diddy Kong Racing in the round right after? You're spoiling my ears, editor!
I had a similar idea for a video with you and shady (I just love your duo) Title : Opponent chooses our pokemon abilities then we fight Concept : You both can see all the starters and you turn around to choose your starter but the opponent will choose the abilities (You can ban certain abilities like slow start and truant if you want like you ban huge power and pure power or you can keep them in). It'll make for interesting combinations like desolate land kyogre, drought abomasnow, dark aura lunala, electric surge on any water or flying type, psychic surge on any mon with priority (if it's fighting type then better), if you know the pokemon doesn't have OHKO moves or very powerful low accuracy moves you can give it no guard so you can hit it with an OHKO move if you like, defeatist on a good pokemon, stall will act like reverse of speed boost, you can give it to any fast pokemon. Colour change could be good. Mimicry could be good to change typing of opponent to get rid of immunities like if there's a psychic terrain and you use thunderbolt then the opponent can't switch a mimicry ground type for immunity. Of course, these are very chance specific scenarios but I was just giving an idea of the potential of this concept. Or if you think the ability idea won't work you can just do sabotages. Like you choose the sabotage after the opponent chooses pokemon like forcing a physical attacker to run specially and so on. But I think the ability idea might just work. Or you can just make 2 different videos.
It's kinda funny how Pat goes around the "no stab on Gothitelle"-debuff by just running it with Tera Blast, which does turn into stab when terastalized. Anyways, a great video! The ending was literal poetry!
This is such a great content. BUT i do have an idea to spice it up a little: Make buff and debuff on every pokemon. An example: Your pokemon becomes Delibird BUT it has doubled stats; Your pokemon have Stall as an ability BUT it has 1 illegal move; etc.
This might have been my favorite battle overall in a "Then we Fight" video. You guys have really got this formula down considering it started in a very "throw things at the wall to see what sticks" type of way with them.

Ooh fun idea. I would love to see one where instead of choosing 2 debuffs and 1 buff, it’s just a wheel of random effects that you spin 3 times and then assign however you like
My favorite part of these videos is the starter selections. You should try one video where it’s just 5 different teams getting selected, 30 mons each, and then you do like a twitter poll to vote either just outright round victory or in bunches of 6. I’m sure there are others like me that, while we still enjoy the battle, the random starters are just so much more entertaining
