I'm sorry, but I don't see any templates to purchase or download on his website. Is there another way I might get a copy of this template? And thank you to you and Peter for so willingly sharing your talents and knowledge with us.
I really enjoyed Peter's methodical approach to working on the bowl section - it is an area that I am trying to refine and he did an incredible job of walking us through this. Very well presented. And the video coverage was perfect. Great session guys!
Örülök, hogy rátaláltam erre a felvételre, melyben a magyar származású Péter farag. Nagyon szép, nagyon inspiráló, nagyon tetszik. Kívánok jó egészséget nektek: egy magyar nyugdíjas óvónéni.
Thank you both Zed and Peter such a great video with lots of great tips. And the template is an absolute bonus. We are SO lucky to have so many amazing carvers who are willing to give incredible help to improve our skills. So grateful
yet another spoon carving video, yet another classic! probably no new techniques in this video but the way its filmed (by Zed) and presented (by Peter) everything feels new thank you both for a great video
@@Zedoutdoors I am looking forward to watching the others in this series, I’ve been in the woods almost constantly for the last few weeks so I haven’t had chance
Yet another great video buddy. The green woodworking community owes you a debt of gratitude for all the hard work you do to support our community and our makers. Also great to see Peter in the flesh. 🙏
As always Mr C I appreciate the kind words, Peters as nice off camera as he is on it and am grateful he allowed me to docuement his process for others to see ~Peace~
I always learn so much from Zed Outdoors but in this video I think I really learned more than any other. Keeping everything square and carving the sides first then top and then facets. I've always seemed to jump around, going to start working on using that system. Thank you so much for all you videos!
Thank you for your time to pass on your knowledge i will be having a go soon just cadged some wood from my m8s recently cut down its nice n fresh ,All the best Ant from wales .
Apprecaite the connection and worth mentioning that I have all of the tutorials listed on this page for easier navigation - zedoutdoors.com/video-tutorials
That was awesome guys.... Zed, I did think to myself where's you're commentary lol.... Peter, wicked man, great skills, great guy, and loving the axe you're using.
I try to keep my commentary to a minimal when others are demonstrating lol, sincerely appreciate the kind words and indeed Peter is a real pro in front of camera ~Peace~
Great video as always. The detail and video quality are second to none. Your channel is hands down THE best resource for spoon carvers regardless of your level of ability. 👏
“cherishing it as part of my journey” - I know the feeling even though I haven’t come to actually mastering the art just yet… tökéletes hozzáállás, respect! :)
I would heartily suggest you try walnut oil. Either the filtered oil or just straight from the food store. I am so happy with the speed of drying and the finish on both spoons and bowls and have been using it for years now. A side benefit for me is that when breaking in a kuksa or spoon or bowl with hit or warm liquids, it tastes better than linseed. Nice video guys.
@@Zedoutdoors I did some reading about that and some of the oils like Mahoney's are press filtered and that process supposedly removes the proteins that are responsible for the allergies. Have you heard anything about that?
Thank you so much for these inspirational videos with these amazing craftspeople; I’m really hooked! Beautiful production by the way. Do you pay the birds to sing in the background? Cheers, and happy new year from just north of Boston, Massachusetts.
@@Zedoutdoors It was funny when you said: I will use a "cheap" axe.. Doesn't matter if I beat it.. That's the one I am using to carve but a smaller model. Everyday I wish I have a better one because I am limited.. I have to buy a better one. 😂😂
I found the whole process is similar to Adam Hawker's. Very methodical and clear. By the way, Zed could you visit Adam with a new cam? It's been a long time since the last video with Adam.
Yes you are correct, i've messaged Peter to send me the new download link and wil ammend the link under this video when he has given that to me ~Peace~
Hi Dave, it is costom designed by an artist friend of mine using Maori symbolism. One symbol meaning the ocean and the other meaning the sky, so a unison between the two ~Peace~
Excellent teaching style...now don’t shoot me but would it not be sooo much faster to use a small band saw to ruff out and then go to the knives ...where the artistic person lives...? At 1:08:20 how are you preventing from cutting your right hand thumb to pieces..?? That’s some sharp knife __would like to see your sharpening tools and techniques....☯️. ☮️
Thre are many different ways to approach this process and it's poerfectly fine using a bandsaw, as much as possible i'm mainly focusing on hand tool ~Peace~

Indeed yes Walnut oil seems to be great option for many, only thing toi bare in mind is potential nut allergies for the end user ~Peace~

Addingham's a pretty part of W Yorkshire, if only it was all so lovely 😉
As with all locations it has it's good parts and bad parts ~Peace~
why can't I save this video to my watchlist?
I've no idea, maybe a glitch with RUclips ~Peace~
There is absolutely no template at peter's site that I can find. And the link is merely to the front page rather than any particular file.
