I loved this movie. But I am anxious about seeing the Lion.🤔😉
Very impressed with the movement and fidelity of the CG lion. Normally CG animal predators are way over animated, constantly snarling, or roaring and other facial movements. When predators attack, they don't make these sounds. Only if it's on the defensive or warning the threat.
Yes I am very happy that they did their homework and research on how animals would react and how they should direct this lion in the beast movie fighting Idris Elba. I also enjoyed the CGI since any time he interacted with the lion it look like he really touched a real lion. Which I couldn’t say that with Pinocchio last night lol even though I enjoyed the film the CG had a little times where Tom Hanks grabbed Pinocchio and it looked like he was falling off a little bit.
The plot does not satisfy me, but my God, I'm blown away by such an exceptional CGI, ten times better than that of John Favreou's The Lion King (2019).

It's called visual effects.
I believe it was a visual fx shot and they may have had a dummy green screen type lion on set
