    In this video we are testing the new Fliteboard True Glide Prop vs Liftfoils Folding Prop, we are learning to ride efoil in the waves. It's a very exciting but very challenging experience.

    hey Mike,
    we enjoy your channel very much. Coming from windsurfing and wingsurfung efoiling is the next level on water for us.
    We live in central europe and have very less wind, so efoiling wil be our chance to spend more time on the water.
    We either surf on small local lakes or make weekend trips to the dutch northsea.
    Your tests and reports is a great help to find the right board and components especailly when you about 100KG and 190 cm.
    So I would like to motivate you to do more board- and component-tests.
    Also, area reports are very interesting for us.
    Do you have more info about Baleal? Is there a season for waves?
    Are there appartments to rent?
    Good luck and keep on surfing!
    Hang loose

    Privet Mike. I am quite new into efoil. Can you pls explain me the steps how to sit down on efoil and foiling by sitting on board? I cant find any tutorilas on youtube. Would be good if you from time to time can release a video tutorial on different tecniques...

      @JetSurfingNation  2 года назад +1

      Sitting on efoil is hard, especially on a small board. Start practicing efoiling on the knees. When done, sit back with legs around touching water. Finally put them in front alladdin shape, see my alladdin fun video

    Thank you for this review! As I am deciding between LIFT and Fliteboard, I couldn’t help but notice that in the session with Pedro he is not really catching any waves like you did (at least not on video). LIFT has been a leading producer of foil wings for over a decade now. I am a bit concerned if Fliteboard can actually compete here. Yes they have a large range of setups, but with the stabilizer so much lower than the front wing is it actually any good in waves without power? The videos on Nazaret show the Fliteboards hitting the water all the time, rather than foiling.

      @JetSurfingNation  2 года назад +1

      There were no waves when Pedro visited me, it's not easy to catch a great day. Lift has a folding prop which has less resistance so it can go depowered on smaller waves. For fliteboard you need little bit bigger surf and more powerful wave to fully go depowered.
      Once we were riding a sizable wave (I was on a Lift and Julien on Fliteboard with a true glide) and we both could go depowered just fine.
      As for Nazare it was more of a marketing stunt. Nobody would be going efoiling in the waves that big.. It's crazy.

      @@JetSurfingNation Thanks! I hoped this would have made my decision easier, but now I am still torn :) I will be using the efoil in a remote area in the Caribbean without local support available. Does either efoil have an advantage in terms of built or maintenance?

      See which one has better local dealers presence in your area, that is the best tip I can give

    Great video, as always! I heard the gentleman say 'hours' of surfing waves, how long would you estimate you get off one of those battery packs between switching from powered to non powered?

    • @JetSurfingNation
      @JetSurfingNation  2 года назад +2

      To be honest i don't see any difference in riding time. My longest powerless ride was 15-20 seconds. In my areas I never get those endless rolling waves like they have in Australia or Hawaii so for me riding time does not really change. Moreover I fall more often in waves, so I use more battery trying to get back on.. So no advantage in riding time but it's super fun!

    I'm a dozen sessions into Fliteboard with TrueGlide. It takes some getting used to. Looking forward to more on Lift comparison when you have more experience. A few seconds me gliding on an overhead wave: ruclips.net/video/SE6MylzwOVw/видео.html

    Privet. Can you pls tell where in Portugal is the best place to do kite foiling in summer? Has Algarve every day wind in summer or not so ideal?

    • @JetSurfingNation
      @JetSurfingNation  2 года назад +1

      Hard to say, I never tried kite foiling so probably not the best man to answer. Algarve is flat with no wind in summer but Atlantic coast is usually always windy

    Can you recommend me some spots on the meditareann sea where its good to do efoil in small waves that do not break?

    • @JetSurfingNation
      @JetSurfingNation  2 года назад +1

      Normally Mediterranean too flat for waves. It’s nice for cruising but not really constant
      I always efoil here in Portugal on Atlantic ocean, on a small day it’s very consistent
