- WALKING IN MURANO, ITALY: Murano is an island in the Venetian Lagoon about 1.5km north of Venice. It is famous for its glass making. At the end of this walk (time 33:02), there is a glass making demonstration thanks to Vetreria Estevan Rossetto. This walk was filmed on December 17th, 2018 and begins at the Murano Faro Ferry Terminal 🎧For an even more immersive experience, be sure to put on your headphones and listen in 3D audio.

No wonder the glass is expensive. Look at the hard work and loving care that goes into it! Cannot beat genuine craftsmanship.
The colour of the water is gorgeous....I always thought it would be dirty looking. Beautiful walk through a lovely place.Thankyou!
Another fantastic video. I know I said it before but I love that you don’t play annoying music and just let us hear the natural sounds of the environment you’re in. It may seem weird to others but I love hearing all the different sounds even people from the places you’re in talking. I don’t live there so I like to get the whole experience which your videos offer. I really appreciate that. A lot!
This was such a beautiful time spent walking threw a place someday I wish now to go .the glass is one of a kind.thank you for this walk.i loved it.
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic glass demonstration.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
Oh my my! I so love your channel! No unnecessary talking just pure videos. The video quality is exceptional. Thank you for taking us dreamers like me to your travels.
J V R . You’re right. It’s just like being there but without the hassle of GETTING there😃🕊
That was fascinating to watch! Thank you SO much for your walking tours!
Bellissimo questo video!! Sono dei veri maestri a fare vasi di vetro!bravissimi! Il cavallo fatto e' stupendo!! E poi... Che meraviglia questo negozio !! Bellissimi gli oggetti di vetro !!👏🏻🥰👍
True craftsmen without formal titles, despite for centuries being named master glass makers and handing down their wisdom to their apprentices.
Wow! Incredible detail of artisanship.
Incredible glass artist! Thank you for sharing.
Wow, great video - Thank you! Loved seeing the Glass making.
Murano is the highest standard of quality for blown glass. Do I need to say more? Congratulations. You are still by favorite walking cam. Happy 2020!
Ciao Javier, glad to hear it. Thanks for watching!
Happy New Year, Prowalk Tours! For many years! I wish you health, happiness, luck, success, many dreams come true and new places to visit!
Hand blown glass so amazing !
Wow....really amazing.. , being a glass bottles collector myself, I specially love this tour so much. Thanks a lot ¡¡
These walls are sooo soothing! Thanks.
Very nice city, nice Glass workshop Demo...
I visit Venice in September 2019.....so magical....Murano is a glass paradise....me wallet can tell you that...ha ha ha !
yeah, those prices weren't cheap. :) September is a great time to visit Italy. I hope you enjoyed your trip.
Lovely feel of Venice good community & tour idea. Salute 2020!
So wonderful to watch the glass making. Such talent and artistry. Love your videos. I used to live in Italy so they bring back so many great memories for me. Thanks.
Hey, thanks for watching. I am really glad you enjoyed it. Have any suggestions on where I should go next?
@@ProWalks I really love the lake district - Garda, Como and Maggiore. I was supposed to stay the summer there but Covid had other ideas. Maggiore has their annual festival in September. It also has a train that goes from Stresa (Maggiore) to Domodossola with stunning views. Then you can switch to the mountain train to Locarno in Switzerland and take the ferries back. Como is more touristy but still worth a visit to the towns. All easily accessible by ferry or buses. Garda is much calmer but worth a day or two. The towns in northern Italy are wonderful too. Turin (Torino) is one of my favorites and has an amazing Egyptian Museum (must see). Verona and Vicenza are also lovely. And if you want to do the Dolomites, Bolzano and Trento are the main towns. Since I live in France and was in the Alps for 8 years I didn't go to the Italian Dolomites but the photos I've seen are stunning. Im not a huge fan of Milano but there are lots of lovely towns in the area worth visiting (lots of articles on these). Bologna and Ravenna are worth a visit too. Ravenna alone has eight Unesco World Heritage Sites; the Byzantine Mosaics are among the best in the world. Bologna is known for its universities and food. Genova's Old Town is unique in that it's the largest Old Town in Europe but also the streets are narrow and dark so an interesting walking experience. Tons of history since it's always been a port town. I hope that gives you some ideas for your next trips once things are safe again to travel. I would love to relive those places through your videos. With a little luck, I'll be in Puglia this summer. If you ever need suggestions on France (I've been here 12 years), let me know since I've been to all the regions and can give you some suggestions for places to walk. Stay safe and well.
@@cinziaclc wow so much information! You have been to a lot of places, happy for you ☺️ I wish I could visit Italy some day!
*WOW* !!! *Happy New Year* !!!!! *LOVE the Italian music* !!!! #ProWalkTours
This was very interesting. Always have had a love for Murano glass. I have a few small items. Always dreamed of a chandelier or a bigger vase etc...wow, beautiful stuff. I too was amazed at the nice color of the canals as the buildings are old and rather run down. I would have loved to see these islands when they were at an all time high. Must have been amazing.
Wow such a lovely video. Thank you for showing us Murano and the glass making process ❤️❤️ Happy New Year! 🎆🎈🎊
Astonishing glass work....
I have never been to Italy and i Love the tour.
I hope you can make it here someday!
... I love the gorgeous friendly warm glow of the orange brick buildings and complimenting copper sulphate hue of the water... would like to visit one day... btw, excellent informative video... Grazie!

Happy new year and sucses for prowalk
HI
Super! I was wondering how you videoed while walking, so smoothly, without bumps and wobbles! Looove the colors of the buildings against the turquoise of the waterways! Must be inspirational for the Murano glass blowing masters, to be in a jewellike environment that is so unique. Shalom to us only in Christ Yeshua.
The streets are so clean
Fantastic
Happy New Year, also one word on the glass,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,WOW.....................
Brings back wonderful memories of walking around Murano. Next time I go back I will know so much more! Also how do I get in touch with Dino rosin? Bernie

Is Cenedese or Barbini factories still active, and if so, do they still make Fish aquarium blocks that are high quality like the 1950's?
After sunrise 😌

Hi man, are you ever gonna do a video about Salerno? I don't know if you know this city near Naples, but it deserves.
I did walk the Salerno Christmas lights in 2018 but I never posted the walk. I'll film a walk there this year.
@@ProWalks oh nice. I prefer Salerno when it's day and in summer but I can't wait to see this video. You know, I'm from Salerno so... Ahahah. Greetings man👍
@@gianmattia13 I can film a day walk this summer for sure. Do you have any recommendations of streets to walk?
@@ProWalks yeah there are some streets and squares... Now I don't know how much you'll walk, but there is of course the Seafront, Piazza della Concordia, Via Roma, Villa Comunale, Corso Garibaldi, corso Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza Portanova, the historic center (that is like another Naples) with many beautiful little streets like Via Mercanti. You can go to the Duomo (if you're lucky you can find it open and you could visit the underground part of the Duomo), there is Chiesa Santa Sofia near Duomo and more. Out of the historic center you could film the train station, Via dei Principati and following this street you'll go to Piazza Malta (around that there is a Roman Aqueduct), then to Piazza San Francesco, then you could go to the Carmine. There is Piazza Casalbore, with the Stadio Vestuti (the first stadium of Salerno for football. Now it hosts other sports). There is Piazza Dalmazia. You could go to Parco Pinocchio on the street built on the Sele (Sele is the Salerno's River), you could go to Viale Unità d'Italia, Via Silvio baratta...
This is part of the Center and the Historic Center but there are some districts (or quartieri) like Torrione that you could visit.
(Off camera I invite you to go to "Nettuno". It's a bar in front of the Seafront and maybe you could eat your best Gelato. But you should take the lemon one cause here we are famous for the lemons of the Amalfi coast).
I hope I helped you in some way. Have a great day. And thanks for the videos you make and share to us, especially for who never visited these places and Italy :).
I see the date of this video in Dec, 31. Is this very early in the morning before all the tour show up? Or is slow because New Yes,When I travel\\\\
i enjoy going doric slow times, I LIKE TO GET TI KNOW THE CULCURE
Great tour, Osmo Pocket?
Would have appreciated a commentary explaining where and what we were looking at. Otherwise, a nice video.
🎄 Merry Christmas 🐪 8th day ☃ Happy New Year 🙀
Any choice buy Murano online?
www.ercolemoretti.it/ this is Original Murano Handmade Glass.. not from china!
Murano video and Tarantella... well, I hope that no venetian see the video.😨😆
Anyway is beautiful (I'm not venetian 😏).
Yeah, I thought about that...but I just wanted something that would sound Italian. :) To me, Italy is Naples. There is nothing more Italian.
@@ProWalks I was joking, your video your music; for me Italy is not Naples, Rome, Milan or any other city/region but my "google-eng" is too bad to explain (anyway I understand "your" Italy vision, not like me but it's ok) ciao.🙂
HOW MANY NORMAL TOUR TO YOU GET AT TGE SHOPS
Happy new year world
i was there 2006
Darn a place I would like to visit myself....fyi I realised how beneficial a 360 degree camera is here as I wanted to look in the shop windows but couldnt argh... lol...eg the Insta 360 One X ( or new one out next week at CES 2020 btw) or the new Qoocam 8K etc....Regards Laurie
Hi Laurie, I have the Insta360 One X but I wasn't too happy with the quality...which is less than 1080. I might invest in the 8K though. I'm glad you enjoyed the walk.
Habe ohrringe aus Muranoglas mit Inhalt, glaub ich brauch nicht mehr zu sagen.
Is Murano near the ocean ? Many buildings look like they need a paint job very badly. I liked Assisi buildings , they seem in better shape. 🇮🇹..
ocean?! You are pretty confused Sir!
@@MrRobbyvent ok near Adriatic
رائع
❤️❤️❤️👍🏽
This was filmed last year.?
Yes, I spent so long work on the Venice 1-6 walks that by the time I was done I was ready to post something besides Venice videos and moved on to something else.
Prowalk Tours oh I see. By the way I really really enjoyed all the Venice walks I watched every single one of them.
Goomba Glass

what happens when these master craftsmen are too old? are you teaching it to younger people.
Amber
It's so desolate.
All that glass demonstrations look like fake. Specially for tourists.
Especially, maybe?
