    I loved this video. Those are some of my favorite places. And while the cookie was an interesting touch, if I may... eating while walking in Italy is a no no :)

    How long was the waterboat driving to Murano from
    Venice ? :)

    • @Jess_and_Dave
      @Jess_and_Dave  Месяц назад

      About 20-30 minutes! You can check out the schedules on the Venice Public Transport website for more detailed times.☺️

    Hi how much walking is required?

    • @Jess_and_Dave
      @Jess_and_Dave  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi there! That really depends on how much you want to wander around each island. The walk from the ferry to the grand canal in Murano is about 5 minutes, and on Burano it’s 3-4 minutes. Where the walking/standing might be a lot is when you are on the ferry. The seats fill up quickly and it can get very crowded when standing. If you need to sit, you might have to wait for another ferry if the seats fill up before you board. I’m sure the attendants can help sort out a seat for you if you ask.☺️

    Can we visit these both within 4 hours like 8 am to 12 noon?

    • @Jess_and_Dave

      If you are limited on time I’d suggest looking into an organized tour or limiting yourself to just one of the islands. Taking the multiple Vaporetti to and from the islands took us about 2 hours total, and I think it would be difficult, if not impossible, to get the most out of it with only 4 hours.☺️

    Hi ! amazing video ! Do you recall how much time is it from Venise to Murano ? I'm afraid of getting seasick.

      It wasn’t very long at all. I would say around an hour max and the water was very calm. It’s not like going out into the ocean.

    This is really helpful thank you. Did you do the drone footage yourself?

    • @Jess_and_Dave
      @Jess_and_Dave  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi there! No we didn’t bring our drone on this trip; there are stricter regulations and drone laws in Italy. The footage we used is from Storyblocks☺️

    Is it feasible to visit these islands and tour glass and lace factories without a guide? All we’ve been seeing are “guided tours.” We will be visiting for first time this fall and don’t know best way to see these two islands easily.

    • @Jess_and_Dave
      @Jess_and_Dave  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there! Yes I would say this is totally feasible. You can take the Vaporetto route we mentioned in the video to get to both Murano and Burano. I would recommend starting early in the day to maximize your time and not feel rushed.
      For Murano, many of the glass factories offer free demonstrations, where you can just watch them making the glass. You can usually also pay for guided tours from the factory themselves. The one we visited offers 50 minute guided tours for €25 each, but you can shop around to see one that looks good to you!
      For Burano, you can visit the Lace Museum for €5 and also pop into various shops to see their collections. Dalla Lidia Merletti D’Arte has their own gallery on display and at Martina Vidal there is often someone making lace in the store. I recommend reaching out to a few places in advance to see what they offer.☺️
      I hope that helps!

    What about temperature i am visiting in 2 days

    • @Jess_and_Dave
      @Jess_and_Dave  6 месяцев назад +1

      We were there in October 2023 and it was around 25C/77F. It looks like in February the high is around 10C/50F and low around 0C/32F. I suggest bringing layers and rain gear.☺️

    Such an amazing video, so informative and helpful. Got a trip to Venice in June and this was perfect to help me decide how to plan a day trip to these wonderful islands. ❤⛴️
