@@yellowmalice3036 Yes it was a 2011 in pretty good shape, unfortunately I didnt check it out enough and found out the hood didnt stay open till after I bought it - so had to had pay a little to get that handled and took a long time to finally get a spare and did have to pay about $1500 (including the hood issue, the spare, some brake work, recharge the AC) to get it all mechanically updated to perfection- but yes overall still a good deal and you bet I will be loving it for many years, esp since it will be mainly a weekend car, not a daily driver (have 2 other cars for that). Ive probably not even put 100 miles on it since buying it on sat 5/16/2020. Its a keeper. I also have a 1998 lexus GS400 which is a pretty dam fast car - this M56S would blow the doors off that.
This is definitely the best car review channel on RUclips! Great reviewers. If I had one suggestion, I would like real life MPG ratings and not EPA as they tend to be pretty inaccurate
Great review. I want one of these for my next Infiniti. I have a 2011 QX56 with 170K and a 2011 G37xS sedan with 298K miles on it. Both cars look and drive great. I just want the M56 for the V8 power and for more passenger space in back.
Just sold my 2012 m56 for a 2023 Model S. It was a fun car, but tons of weird engine issues; some that the dealer had yet to figure out. It served me well, but the S is a welcomed enhancement.
Infiniti's are wonderful cars and this car is no exception. It definitely competes with the European big names! And as always a very well done review by Roadfly
These Infiniti's hold their value for the most part. People are still paying 5k for a G35 these days! That's a timeless car but outdated. I have one and love it. Will drive it until the wheels fall off. It's at 209k now and it's still perfect. Just needs some new suspension parts which is to be expected for a car with that many miles. It is fast for what it is. But I need something updated with more power. The M56 would be the perfect replacement. Im starting to save up for one. I may put in a little more in the G. I plan on keeping it atleast another yr or two. By then I can find a M56 for around 10k easy. They're already around that price today. They're just harder to find. There's none for sale in my state and I live in Tx. I see a lot on the east coast for some reason. I've always been quite fond of a luxury sedan sleeper. These come with the VK56DD engine that also come in the titans. About 420hp stock too, turn it into a FBO, get exhaust and a tune. Then it could easily get close to 500hp! There's vids of these cars gapping Charger Scat Packs and Camaro SS. It's a heavy car, but so are those cars as well. I just love looking at the face of some douche in a sports car getting gapped by a luxury sedan. It's priceless, plus this V8 has a unique note to it too. It's definitely on my list of one of the next cars I have to have. It's heavily slept on and almost no one knows about them. Maybe I'll be lucky and can find one at an auction for under 10k. Im halfway there in savings, need another yr. I don't think I'll be selling my G35X though. Have two Infiniti's fuck it. Plus ppl are hesitant buying any high mileage car. Which is understandable, especially when most domestic cars start calling apart around 150k. Just replaced the starter on my G and it was the OEM one. It has some minor leaks and I've replaced alot of things. I believe it'll last another 100k easily. Which is why I won't ever sell it. I know ppl will low ball me for one due to its mileage alone. It's just way too reliable to part with, I know I'll end up regretting it.
I love these cars I wish I could afford one. I like those German brands too but we all know they are just gonna have expensive problems sooner or later. Infiniti's are real reliable.
Perfect summary in the end, other than those so called "Ultimate driving Machine" buy the Infiniti instead for better value and more standard equippment than what B-brand could dream of.
@koukiR32 I wasn't written by them, it was written a bit more seriously; It was about a very reasonable diesel 3,5L model, and they said it's too expensive (and it is, some 50k dollars, 535d can cost you as much as 10k less!) and that interior is a mess (and I'm afraid it is) and that it's options are specked a bit mean, just to justify it's high price (such as the safety pack option, or the metallic paint)
I love the M56 but one thing that really bothers me is that Infiniti doesn't make certian engine variants appear different from one another, on the BMW you can totally point out the 550i just by looking at the sport fascia, I think all M56 sedans should come standard with the sport front fascia, it shouldn't be an option. They should just offer an IPL sport package instead and make that an option but the sport fascia should be the one thing that identifies the M56 otherwise it looks like an M37
holy shit that guys short.. the car looks crazy big. Although when I watched the cnet review, it looked just adequate enough to fit a tall guy ( like me as i'm 6'6" ). Then again, the cnet guy probably didn't have his seat adjusted in a real comfy position like I have to do most cars.
@acvwest1 The Infiniti G Series needs a complete redesign now. It was already refreshed for 2010 (sedan) and 2011 (coupe and convertible). The G should be redesigned for 2013 model year to compete with the all new 2012 BMW 3 Series.
@@nowimhigh The M series (Q70) is a different model completely. They just discontinued the Q70 last year. Now the G is called the Q50 and it’s still in need of an update. It’s like Infiniti doesn’t care about being competitive like they were in the late 2000s.
@Niche79 Did you see the last review about the new Jetta? Emme, the reviewer for that car, was pretty good--and she even responded to some of the comments! But yes I do agree with you for the most part, and Roadfly isn't the only one guilty of this.
since this is a sedan it would have been nice to see the rear leg room and seating area as well as the trunk instead of a shot of the presenter talking for the majority of the video. - just a little constructive criticism.
I used to love BMW over Infiniti: 5-Series > M; 3-Series> G; X-Series > FX. Until I personally drove each car from Infiniti's current line-up....BMW is completely off my list. Plus, Infiniti seriously builds manly man's cars, drivers' cars.
Excellent review. Very informative and well paced. Would have liked to see a little more of the car driving down the road from the outside though. Looks like a wonderful car.
@tonyskillz Cost way less than a 5 series or E series once u add options. This car is also way more fun to drive than both of them and come with better reliability
@Mik5OO Wow, obviously you haven't seen German brands options list if you think this Infiniti options list is no where near those of the Deutch stuff has to offer. And there you go again with your 535d... that should have been compared with the M37 instead. should compare this M56 with the 550i would be more sensible cause you are looking for V8 power to V8 power not otherway around. Not to mention if you want to compare you'll compare the d with the M35 Hybrid?
wow..... is that your normal driving posture?.... I see that your that short, but wow. see how far his head is in contrast to the driver window. like he's in the .middle
@hazemvirus I guess that's right in there with the rest of the V8 pack...but it's still disappointing these cars can't eek out more mileage...in the end the fuel price is a fraction of the cost of ownership so no one will really notice
I currently have a ‘98 Civic (daily) and a Evo Viii (been in the shop for too long) but I’m thinking about trading the evo or selling it and getting something different. I see myself wanting a family soon so I still wanted something fun and fast but a sedan and reliable. Anyone know if this car would be a good choice? I just don’t want it to turn into a money pit like the evo.
@LoveTheCity123 LOL I agree, For $57,000 I would be happy with a 2011 QX56!!! But yes, a BMW X6 would also be on the list although its not really my cup of tea.
He needs to add some Telephone Books to that seat, Then he is good :o) I usually just up the Seat Some and that fixes the shorty Look. These cars are designed to accommodate anyone from 6 Feet Plus down to 4 feet plus :o) Great Review, Thanks.
@insanelylogical He may have an advantage with cars but not with the ladies... most women prefer taller men. I'm not saying Ross can't pull any fine women, just that we all know most women like men taller than them.
@cooperunionstud Didn't know SUV = CAR. I don't enjoy the truck like handling of suv's hence my fondness of cars. The obvious does not elude me. If I really want a tall persons car, I should just get a Maybach right ? lol
@kaga1310 Let me guess, your a Lexus Fanatic or some how you seem to favor Lexus and by doing so you try to make a pointless comment that becomes irrelevant to the entire video. Copying Lexus, really??? Had you said Hyundai or Buick then that would understandable but Infiniti trying to portray themselves as a Lexus?? Please, Infiniti is way ahead of their game before they need to conform taking tips from Lexus.
The M56 is one of my favorite cars, pound for pound
Hard to believe this video is 12 years. This car still holds up to this day imo.
Just bought one today the Sport version, 63k on the odom and paid after taxes and fees a tad under $17k. So far Im loving it!
Bought for 17k?? Sweet deal! I have a feeling you're gonna be loving this car for many years to come.

Lol, at the end of the video he looks like a kid in that car.
xuimod
But he's wearing a big boy jacket!!
The car looks humongous, not sure relatively or it's just gigantic
Its taken from about 10-20 feet away, and the car is very big. I know, I have the exact same year make and model as what he is sitting in.
😆😂🤣

The M56 has great power just got one last week
Got one a month ago and everything u said about it is true. Absolute dream car.
the wood looks amazing
Excellent review roadflytv always fun to watch!!
Thanks, Ross!
You're one of my favourite reviewers.
Max
4.9 seconds to 60? The q50 3.7 do the same with 328 hp
Ross is a great reviewer! Keep it up man!
Just bought one for 15k clean title one owner 😅 insane
A Japanese luxury car you can race Camaro's, and Mustang's with, is a huge plus for me. Nissan/Infiniti are the best period.
Who is on Lead Guitar. Outstanding music! ROCK!
I love these cars I wish I could afford one. I like those German brands too but we all know they are just gonna have expensive problems sooner or later. Infiniti's are real reliable.
Another great job Ross.... Your my favorite reviewer on this channel. Also Roadfly, you should do some comparison videos or multi-reviewer videos :)
I like Ross reviews the best!
@roadflytv If you ever have trouble getting your hands on an Infiniti model, just let us know. Really enjoy your reviews!
"Almost" and extra liter? 5.6-4.5 = 1.1....thats OVER an extra liter. .' )
Did he say land departure warning system? Does this car fly as well?
Perfect summary in the end, other than those so called "Ultimate driving Machine" buy the Infiniti instead for better value and more standard equippment than what B-brand could dream of.
Thanks for another awesome review guys! This is probably the only japannese car I would consider... if i could afford it!
I love the NJ turnpike burn!
will you guy text drive the new acura tl in the future?

I love that the system detects nasty odors as this is a big plus because I fart all the time.
@spencerattack631 what do you expect of V8?
Ross is 5' 1". All the guys at cars.com are around 6'. What's the story?
BTW Ross, this car doesn't have almost an entire liter of displacement... its got 1.1 extra liters lol
Perfect car..by that I mean perfect shape, engine, dynamics, technology, feel, sex-appeal. Infiniti rocks!!

I would like Ross to review a Mini Cooper. It would look like a huge SUV next to mini me Ross............................I miss Jess and her reviews

It looks huge. You can see how big the car really is by comparing it to his head poking out the window.
Love infiniti M.
I'd like to see a car review where all three of you drive the same car so that maybe we could get three different opinions.
I used to love BMW over Infiniti: 5-Series > M; 3-Series> G; X-Series > FX. Until I personally drove each car from Infiniti's current line-up....BMW is completely off my list. Plus, Infiniti seriously builds manly man's cars, drivers' cars.

Infiniti has some great nav systems
It's probably a nice car, but I'd rather have a G37S 6-speed
love this car but I am a sucker for the 550i
Ok, great car. Where's Jessy?????
@Autofanatic28, she's working on her Ph.D. Ross is fantastic at his job and he is really handsome as well.
Love it. The new lexus gs too.
wow..... is that your normal driving posture?.... I see that your that short, but wow. see how far his head is in contrast to the driver window. like he's in the .middle

excellent Jersey turnpike reference, i had to laugh
@flammnkta Same here. I will own them both no matter how old they get.
let me see the back seat!
@hazemvirus like freddie mercury I want it ALLLLLL
@sleepersown if you wanna a tall persons car. you should get a american SUV
Years later the car is worth 11-20k
This or g
the sexiest car on earth
good videos - just try different music
@jstnhnh I like Nissan period, with an exception to a few models. But I plan on getting a Pathfinder later this year.
Now heres what i really need to know?
DOES IT CONSUME OIL?!
No

@spencerattack631 sure we all want that V8 that is powerful and saves fuel, dont want that jerky V8 that just saves fuel which is pointless
