I really wish the show ended with 10 seasons instead of nine and I can’t believe it’s over I spent half of my life watching this show literally
Jay Hollow me too
I've watched the Middle from the first episode, but they started to struggle when Axl went off to college. After a while, they didn't even bother dealing with it, and he was home all the time. That really stretched the credibility factor, and they're doing it again with Sue. I thought she was sharing an apartment with Lexi! Then why is she always home? I'm pretty sure when The Middle was conceived, nobody ever thought it would last nine seasons. They expected the kids to stay young, and it would probably last five or so seasons. Actually, the fifth season is when it started to stumble. They've simply reached the end of the road, and with Axl graduated from college, they NEEDED to do something rational and logical, which is to have him move out. Though I love The Middle, it really started operating on fumes with season six.
Jay Hollow same
Jay Hollow same. I'm going to cry watching the finale.
I've been watching it since I was 5 as long as I can remember almost every week from September to May there's a new episode of it but it's ending along with my childhood
this is probably one of the best shows on television! outstanding writing, cast and directing.
9 years and this is not even repetitive like the goldbergs... i'm just sad.
Golbergs actually happened they show actually pictures, videos of some of events that the episodes are based on.
"everybody hates chris" used the same real-life formula and wasn't even 10% of THAT repetitive, so that's not really a tremendous point tho
dont get me wrong, i do enjoy "the goldbergs" - and sean giambrone is one of my fav young actors of all time - but i can't see the writing being as good as it was in the first three seasons anymore
NO! "every body hates Chris" do not put actual footage of what happened in the end credits.
Every body hates Christ is what happens in a black family in general. Christ Rock writes what happen in his life I'm surprise he did not have to pick the "switch' grandma is going beat his ass with. I will admit im not Jewish so I can not say Goldberges is/or is not a not a typical Jewish family.
i'm not talking about the actual footage, but the biggest part of the events from that show were based on chris rock's childhood/family.
"The Goldbergs" is a hard concept to explain to people what it actually is trying to do. It's working like your memory, that's why you see some things repeat or some movies/TV shows that were years apart featured together in one episode. Your mind doesn't always remember things exactly when it happened. It kind of blends things together. That's why the grades/ages of the kids kind of changed a bit from the first season except for Adam. I think "The Goldbergs" has the most well-rounded cast. There is not a single character (even a side character like the kids' friends, the teachers, no one) who I roll my eyes at or wish would get off the screen, and it's one of the few shows I feel that way about. But, then again, I was born in the 80s, so the movies/TV were on television in the 90s, so the nostalgia weighs in. With "The Middle," I feel they went too far in some areas, especially with gross treatment of food (particularly when they basically ate the Donahues' Thanksgiving dinner and when Frankie digs the fair food out of the trash to take a bite of each piece). And a few characters got on my nerves. Love Molly Shannon as an actress, but I really didn't care for Frankie's sister or her "miracle baby" Lucy. Rusty's ex-wife was irritating too. Frankie was my least favorite of the family. And April...what a disservice to that actress to get that role. I've never seen her in anything, but what an annoying character to have to play. They could have made her just a bit more enduring, but whatever.
This is the most underrated show ever, I'm gonna miss it so much, the fact that stupid shows like tbbt are still rolling and the middle did not get at least a tenth season is disappointing.
At the same time, some good tv shows don't even get a second or third season, so we should be grateful that it went on this long.
John Doe well yeah, I guess you're right it's just that the middle was in my life for so long it's hard to say goodbye
I agree with you, but the decision to end The Middle at 9 seasons came at the request of the creators of The Middle, I am sure ABC would have loved to renewed for a 10th season. But at some point live action tv series has to come to an end.
John Doe Now THATS the Sue Heck outlook!!!
Its not underrated lol
This show is incredibly underrated. I discovered it a few years ago and was pretty surprised by how good it could be. Of course it has its silly moments, part of the genre, I think, but at its core it's a relatable show about life and family. Btw, the way they handled Brad coming out to Sue was one of the best scenes on TV.
You are absolutely right. It was so matter of fact. I loved Brad's character, and together with Sue they made a wonderful team. True friends to the core of their hearts.
Damn, I love this show. “Whispering voice”: love this show.
It breaks my heart saying goodbye to a show that I could relate to on so many levels. I guess it becomes even sadder knowing that there is never going to be a reunion much like will & grace or even that so raven. The middle is the heartlands hidden gem much like orson to brick. Thanks for the nine years of entertainment.
Yep. It was one of the best, if not THE best show on TV. My husband and I revised our schedules to be able to sit on the couch together and watch it.
The Middle is one of those shows that I can go back and watch whenever & I’ll instantly feel better or rejuvenated because it’s just so damn relatable but also the show is like this virtual safe place where one knows that no matter what happens, it’ll be okay and someone will always have your back. I absolutely loved rewatching the whole series about 2 years back and can’t wait to do it again soon but this time round it will different, knowing that I don’t have to wait for the next season is difficult. I haven’t watched the last few episodes of this season because all I’ve been thinking about is well the fact that’s it’s ending and I just.dont.want.it.to.end. this show is more than a show, it’s like a home, a home that will always be there and it’s one of the things that makes me grateful for technology. thank you The Middle for giving me such wonderful memories ❤️❤️
If u watch the end it will completely destroy you. Feel with you
Gonna miss this show😩
Aww, sweet baby Brick. I’m going to miss them!
I'll miss them.😂
My three favorite moments.
1) Sue taking on the neighborhood bullies.
2) Forming her own spirit squad
3) And, finishing the race.
I was keeping it together until it started playing a sad song and that is when i lost it
Siobhan S me too 😢😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭
Siobhan S me too
dose anyone know the name of the song playing in the back ground
Mika Yoshimura Busted - Those Days Are Gone, it actually becomes quite a BOP but lovely tune. Check out their album aswell highly underrated!!
I watch this show from day one . A great classic show . That really made me laugh over the years. And I'm gonna miss it. I'm from the Midwest maybe that's one of the reasons I love it so much. Great cast with great writing. It will go down as one of the most underrated shows of all time. One of the funniest shows of all time. For the people who miss this show . Watch in reruns and see what you miss. Thanks for the memories .
This show really hit home. They said it best, all good things must come to an end. I’ll miss the Hecks..what a great show.
THE MIDDLE seriously is one of the best TV shows that have ever graced television history. I also wish they would decide to continue it. It's too good to let go.
I really loved this show!
NOOO I don't want it to end! I already have tears on my eyes!!
I grew up in a middle class family in illinois. SO MUCH of this show was incredibly relatable. It's gross how underrated this show is; I still rewatch it. The entire Heck Family reminds me of my own family.
This show is my life!! I'm so sad that it's coming to an end... Thank you for creating such an amazing show. The Middle will always be in my heart
I grew Up watching the middle💔 hard to say goodbye
My wife and I started watching this show about a year and a half ago we quickly bought all the previous seasons and binge watched them and caught up by the final season. Took us awhile to find it but happy we did. This was one of the great sitcoms, relatable, well written and a cast chemistry that just worked. Thanks for nine great seasons we will miss this show, though bittersweet glad to see it end while people were still interested. A little sad to start watching the reruns right now but likely will soon.
I’m 18 and have watched this since the beginning... Can’t believe it’s been 9 years half my life time :(, this show has a damn special place in my heart
Best show ever made on earth
I just finsihed watching the finale and i already miss it. This show was such a huge part of my childhood
One of my favorite ! Already miss them!
Stuck around since, and loved everything about it, I’m gonna miss this show
This show was my absolute life to be honest. It's just one of those things that kept me going, it's much more than a TV series to me, it's something else, something very special and to be honest, I wish it lasted much longer than it did. The whole last episode was broke my heart into tiny little pieces. 😭 Maybe one day it'll come back. I know they've said it might in ten years time. ♥️
NETFLIX NEEDS TO GET THIS DANG SHOW ON IT,I NEED TO REWATCH!!!
cali.dream xoxo DAMN STRAIGHT
Haha yes!
You have given us a lot guys and we all are gonna miss you
I just watched the finale and I said thank you to the cast, crew and writers. I cried and felt as if they said thank you to us fans.
Anita Boddie same
Always had a new episode and new season to look forward to...they always seem to deal with something that I could relate to. Makes you feel better. I swore from season one on....someone in my house MUST be writing for this show! Oh, I'm so gonna miss the Hecks!
W2mnm 928 They knew who real families are. It was as if all of us like your and my family's wrote the show. They always gave me laughter, escape and hope. I can't thank them enough.
Anita Boddie Well said!
This show is by far one of the best shows to ever exist and even after the ending it will still be amazing
Fax

The Hecks feel like long distance relatives for me! never seen anything more realistic comedy. wish they carry on the series!! xx
I just finished watching the last episode. Definitely crying myself to sleep.. this show meant so much to me, it has this special place in my heart since I've been watching it for several years now, can't believe it's coming to an end !
But on a more "Sue" note, the great thing is that we can all watch it again and again so it never actually ends. A speacirl shout-out to the amazing cast, the amount of hard work they put in the show was so phenomenal and never went unnoticed. Sure going miss them all. ♥️
I love the middle for 9 nine years i will them. Thank you. There will be show like this ever again. Bless you all.
Will miss the show so much...... Love love love
Three Favorite moments
1. When Frankie and the kids eat all the bottom layer of the Donahue's Thanksgiving dinner.
2. When Sue starts the Wresttlerette's and preforms against the cheerleaders.
3. All of Bricks whispering.
The legit best show to ever exist has to end! I wish someone could bring it back. I just wanted to fully see axel, sue, and Brick to fully grow up and see what their life turned out to be.
aww i'm really going to miss this show, it's just great!
I'm gonna miss this show so much! it's been with me during times where I lived abroad alone and it was comforting watching while away from my family. Thank you to all the cast and creates of the show
This show has always made me smile. I love it and you all so much. I cried as I watched Brick grow up. I have 2 boys and this was not only reminded me of my family, but reminded me of raising my boys. You are all going to be so missed.
Such a great show- it has been a part of my life !!! Thank you for bringing such great joy in my life !!
I need it back. This was the show I’d come home to from work and just be happy. I watched every episode, I laughed, I cried. It has memories attached.
The finale aired yesterday and I already miss it! It's one my family and I love to watch together because we are literally the Hecks lol. I'm Sue, my mom is definitely Frankie, my dad is a sort of Mike/Brick mashup, and my brother is just like Axl! The Hecks were just such a relatable family and I'm going to miss seeing new episodes for sure!
Those kids really know how to act unlike the kids in Modern Family. I love both shows but The Middle is my favorite😭❤
You will be missed. Thanks for the wonderful memories!
Ok so it's decided! Once I get my errands today 😝, I'm marathoning The Middle from ep 1 immediatly! Their world is less stressful than mine! I think 3 pots of coffee will do it!!!
Made me cry....Again! So heartbroken. Loved you all as if we were a real family.
I cried just watching this😭😭😭😭😭💕💕💕💕💕💕💔💔

Busted - Those Days Are Gone for anyone after the song. It actually becomes quite the BOP!!

I'm going to miss this show so much! The last epsode was so sad that I cried so hard. Wow we are all growing up.
I'm really gonna miss this show. It's the only show my whole family will actually sit and watch together.
I was 9 years old when the show came on I loved it I love watching the old episodes on freeform and I’m graduating and I’m saying goodbye to a lot of things it’s been a great childhood
I have enjoyed watching this show, even the reruns. I'm so sad that it's over, there is Nothing on as good as The Middle.

I already miss the MIDDLE! SUPER, GREAT SHOW!
Thank you mike frankie. sue axlman brick brick it was an amazing ride thank ever much I'm about to cryThank you
Truly an amazing show...u will be missed
I’ve been watching this show for more than half of my life and I can’t believe its ending. I love this cast and this is TRULY the best TV show ever. My friends/family and i always make references to it as jokes like “oh that’s such a sue heck thing do do” or something lol. I hope we get to see more of this cast in another show or movie in the future, but I know for sure that the Heck family will always be a part of me :) ❤️
Thanks for making this amazing show 😀 kudos to everyone behind this 😘
I just watched the final episode and can't stop crying.
I loved that this show was a show that was funny but you could watch it with th whole family. My 10 year old nephew started watching from the time he could understand what they were talking about and we watched the reruns over and over through the years. I love that I could watch that show with him there are so few real family shows.
Saw the first episode when it aired watched the finale last night and caught a whole lot of "The Middle" not all of it but alot. For some reason I felt so happy for Sue.
I thought they spent a little too much time on Sue & Sean’s relationship without giving Axl & Lexi a heartfelt conclusion.
In general, they spent way too much time on Sue and Sean when Axl and Lexie should have had more screentime. #LexlForever
Johnny Utah I honestly find Lexi a generic character, I like lexl but shes not my favorite love interest of Axel's. I loveeeee Shaun and Sue together and I think they should of spent more time on that.
Only problem with SueSean is they've been dragging it out this season ad nauseam! Could have been resolved in three episodes and it's taking all freaking year/season! It's gotten absurd!
I ma not sure if they are going to meet in what will be the series finale that will set t air this coming Tuesday night
Honestly I kinda wish Axl got together with that intellectual girl from High School (I forgot her name). That was the deepest relationship he ever had with a girl and the break up was the hardest and she was so likable and kinda more interesting than Lexi.
One of my favorites. Love u guys. I will miss The Heck's so badly
I was 16yrs old when this show first came out on air n it been 9yrs wow that long time!!! Ima miss this t.v. show 😢😢
I'm gonna miss this show so much. Such a great and funny series.
One of the best shows and underrated shows ever. Going to miss the Hecks
I’m crying inside and this is like everything to me
I love this show. It was so beautiful.
I love this show and will miss it tremendesly. I can't believe it is no longer going to be on. So so very sad.
i love the show and their characters, i think they are doing an amazing job, i am definitely going to miss the show, i watched it, since it came out, from pilot. Bravo, for making us to fall involve with them.
My favorite show ever!!! I will miss watching on Tuesday nights!!😔
I cant...this show was i what i came home to after school ..im so greatful this show was filmed though.. And we can always look back on it in reruns or here so its not a total loss
This show is too good to be over. Brick is my absolute favorite ❤️
I used to watch this show with my auntie. I never really understood many of the jokes but I found the characters funny, such as the way Brick will whisper under his breath etc. I never watched it in later life, but it looks like it still had the same appeal and comedy it did 9 years ago, and I’ll miss it.
Ive been watching it with my parent and when i watched this i cried im really gonna miss it💕
I always watched this with my family this show is so good
Nooo it can’t end...I’ve grown up with this show...just to now see it end so sad😪
