I rewatched it a few days ago after it had been a while since it had ended, and yes, The Middle is vastly underappreciated. In my opinion, this is the best family show that has come along in a long time. The show did an excellent job of bringing back elements from previous seasons, such as the sink and the hole in the wall, in later seasons. Best in terms of consistency.
I agree completely, Taylor Downing! I wish they'd let Sue grow out of her awkwardness on the show. Can you imagine Axl's reaction if he were forced to admit that Sue is "hot!" I can already hear him gagging!

It’s 2024 and I’m just now hearing of this show and WB has just torn down all the houses and soundstages that were Columbia Ranch, then Warner Brothers studios, so ALL OF ITS GONE! The Heck house, Friends apartment 110 acres of beautiful trees etc. all razed😨for allegedly office and apartment buildings 🙄
Eden’s lil dance at 0:35 was so sue omg! Such an amazing actress she is extremely underrated! The Middle is like one of my fav shows and Sue is definitely my fav character!
I have an autistic daughter who wrestles with her feelings. However, whenever she had doubts about her decisions, she always looks to Sue Heck for advice and finds it. Sue Sue is her idol and I have bought her Eden's Emoticon, which she treasures.
Hollywood should give Charlie more diverse roles. His independent work is so engaging. Do yourself a favour and see imagigary and three days, great work.
I would like to see him doing something with more depth, too. Axl is almost an impossible character to develop on page, and he does it very gracefully.

Atticus has grown into a very confident and witty young man, which is evident in the last couple of seasons of the Middle. Charlie seems very sweet and gentle, a sort of low-key and kinder version of Axl. Eden is Sue after a few gallons of chamomile tea.

The Hecks are fictional but they struggle & strive as we really do. so happy to see them on THE REAL! & I am really trying to hear& understand what Lonnie said at the beginning? was it something about teeth or feet?
