As an alumnus of Siena Heights College, '90 and having been fortunate enough to experience Sr. Nancy's performance as St. Catherine, I pray that someone has preserved her portrayal on video.
Her portrayal made Catherine's life real to me. Which says a lot as I am a man living in the 21st century and I was not deeply connected to my catholic roots while in Adrian.

Brillant! Just saw her performance of Catherine of Siena at Loretto Academy Little Theatre in El Paso, TX. Not only did she bring Catherine of Siena to life, but her portrayal filled us with the spiritual love and desire for more of the intimate conversations of Catherine with God.

When you get the calling you know you've received it. God works in mysterious ways.

In case none one has told Sister Marie - you made a difference at St Sylvester and Humboldt Park.

Why aren’t the sisters in Habit? It looks like they had been at one point 😢.
We shouldn’t hide our vocation. The world needs to see Religious Sisters and Monks in public, which means they need to be identifiable.

Thanks for your question. Our Sisters in the Philippines wear a habit there, and they sometimes wear it when they are in North America. Some Sisters have worn a habit for liturgical settings, such as when they are preaching or presiding at a prayer service. However, most Adrian Dominican Sisters have discerned that the dress of the day helps them better relate to others in the North American context. There is a value both to being a visible sign to others and to visibly being “one with.” Women drawn to our Congregation, for the most part, feel God calling them to live out the spirit of the latter.

We have the same problem in Italy with priests not even having a cross. Looks more like hiding than making your self spiritually visible
