I started following Liam when he was preparing for his post-law studies, he is one of those people who are so authentic and generous when it comes to sharing his knowledge and in fact, he has shaped my journey as an aspiring lawyer. Thanks, Liam, keep at it!

Me getting a flashback of all those 5 years I have watched liam's channel and grown up to being law student at 21 now😅

Good on you for putting all this out there but I do wonder about that symbiosis. I'd suggest that if you stick at it and become a more senior lawyer, that sharing some of this stuff may not always be appreciated by clients/colleagues and any 'upside' will be outweighed by the downside. When your role in deals get bigger I predict you will make the decision to scale back the youtube to protect your career. In the meantime I'm sure lots on here will enjoy your content - congratulations!

I’d love to have you on my channel at some point to chat about being a corporate solicitor as I can probably see your office from my flat. (GF is also doing M&A so I’m super interested in the topic)

Can you do a video on how you manage taxes and self assessment? One main reason I don't want to pursue my side hustle passion is the extra admin on top of my full-time job.

I feel like completing leaving out any bonus information is like leaving out a huge piece of the puzzle. Sure, it’s discretionary, but if it’s generally a sizeable % of base then I think it’s worth providing a range of what that could be.

Hey Liam I really love your channel and content. I often think that with people like yourself, your followers will compare your “day job” and “RUclips” and say “oh well RUclips is much easier ect.
But I think that without your day job your RUclips content would not / could not be to the incredible standards it’s at. It’s very common now days for content creators to have ‘come up’ by trading off their traditional credentials like there titles (layer, Dr, prof ect..)

But if you like doing both things that might take up too much of your extra time

OMG, solicitors make one-third of what T14 grads with comparable experience make -- maybe even less. Okay, so attorneys in the States work longer hours. I get it. But, of course, not three times as many hours. And expenses in London can't be less (or much less) than expenses in L.A., for example.
What do lawyers working for American firms make in London? Don't they have global pay systems? If so, why not work for an American firm
Frankly, you make half of what a decent software engineer in the States makes upon graduation with an undergraduate degree, and if you look at the top CS schools, they make three times as much as you right out of school. I'm talking about graduates of Georgia Tech, not even those from CMU, Stanford, or MIT -- comparable schools to Cambridge.
Is practicing law in the UK -- or at least for a UK law firm -- really worth it?

Hi Liam, I would like to have your opinion , maybe you could even create a video around this topic. What do you think about major life and career changes? I have been following your videos for ages now, and I find it incredible that you seem to love what you do so much. But many of my friends struggle and I always find it hard to give them advice :)
    Cheers💪

This is wrong. £125,000 / 52 weeks / 5 days = £480.77 that is how you work out a day rate you should not include for holidays in this calculation. This is the standard way an employer will pay you if you do a day extra or deduct from a day less.

125.000 Pounds ist a solid salary. Would you say you are in a competitive field where companies are very picky about their employees (and pay accodingly) or is your field less competitive?

It is a competitive field purely due to the amount of students who aspire to have this type of career versus the amount of people who actually end up at the top of the field on such salaries. There is a significant number of lawyers who do not earn anywhere near that amount. It’s not the field that is competitive - it is the level that he is operating at.
