I’m in love with the 70, 80 and 90’s music and that’s thanks to my dad (he’s from the 90’s, 1973 to be exact, while I’m from the 2000’s, 2002 to be exact). All the music he listens to is so perfect!! Wish I was born at this age, so i would remember this hits ❤
This band is absolutely amazing, just as The Pet Shop Boys, Blur, Bronski Beat, Haddaway, Donna Summer, Tina Turner, Depeche Mode, New Order, Duran Duran, Modern Talking, Technotronic, The Backstreat Boys and more I love the most from this time!! I’m so proud to love this kind of music even if it’s not from my timeline (I’m from the 2000’s, 2002 to be exact)🙂‍↕️👊🏻🎵✨

Who's still listening in 2019? This brought back memories. Saw them live in club in Bay Area. Remember sneaking in with my older friends (actually the bouncer didn't care, haha). We were in front row; they were within an arm's length! Completely in shock when I heard Sean passed away. Couldn't listen to their songs for awhile after that. Yep, I fell that hard for him back then. If you like this song, check out Another Minute from them.

    Like Children
    Rarely seen and never heard
    Emotion
Bare your soul you'll never learn
    But don't ask why
And you won't get lied to
    Speak to them softly
It's something you get used to
    (Chorus)
    You Think you know Her
    But you never really
    Lived a life without her
    Couldn't tell me
    The things she said
    The books she read
The way she looked when the morning came
The time of night that you held her tight
But you'll never forget the day she ran away
I found her all alone lost in a crowd
    When she saw me
I felt so much I cryed aloud
    She turned away
I couldn't speak to stop her
    The only sound I heard
Was the echo of her laughter
    Chorus
    The books she read
The way she looked when the morning came
The time of night that you held her tight
But you'll never forget the day she ran away
    Repeat To Fade

Years ago I was searching for this song at the music store, assuming it was DM. Picked up the Music for the Masses CD after seeing the song titled, "The Things You Said", because I thought I remembered hearing that phrase in the song. Of course, it was actually, "the things she said, the books she read..." I was rather saddened when I heard, "The Things You Said", immediately realizing that was not it. That being said, it's a great song, too, but at that moment my search to find, "You Think You Know Her", ended in disappointment. RUclips eventually helped me find this song, as the Google-powered search engine was able to match my search for "the things she said, the books she read" :) Sorry....long story there.

Wow! Back in 1989 while I was in college, a buddy of mine and I started a band withe the same exact name! We were from Cali as well (LA to be exact!) We were a synth pop band as well! In 1990 we both graduated. I just found out about this band, that started in 1990 as well in No Cal. I looked at the band's bio to see if my friend, a bassist named Fred was involved but he wasn't. It's just a different band with the same name.

I was in school when this song came out, I loved it so badly I replayed it viciously on my walkman. Once, a friend from a higher grade told me they sounded a lot like Depeche Mode, to which I reacted asking "Depeche whaat??".
    RIP Sean, btw.

Depeche Mode survived the 80's, and went on to produce many great albums. Many more know Depeche than Cause & Effect.
