Thank you for posting this video. I got a question: when the band descriptor for 8 says: "..uses a wide range of complex structures", what does the adjective "wide" refer to? A big amount of complex sentences or a wide variety(namely a lot of different types of complex sentences)?
Thank you for this wonderful video. I followed the technique particularly for writing and scored an overall band 8 in my first attempt. A big shoutout to your channel and this video! Thanks again!
can you please clear my doubt at 15:55, why there is no coma after noun (technology, celebrities and murderer ) but its there after silicon valley. thank you.
Hi there, I think I explain this at 18.32. However, to be honest, most native speakers don't when they should actually use commas and there is often more than one correct way to use commas. This is why the IELTS band descriptors, even at band 9 level, allow you to make mistakes, they state that: 'rare minor errors occur only as slips’. Comma misuse would definitely fall into this category.
This video is a must watch, for anyone who is about to attempt IELTS! Best video so far on the topic. Just Brilliant! Thank you for sharing this with us. God bless!
Technology which takes away jobs, is eating poverty in some areas. “ I guess you have to convince him and her to ensure he understands what you said. “ Now can you tell me about changing and not changing him? I’m here all the time right next to him without him saying about it. I already know what caused he stuck or to be in this way. You know if you hand have the paper that gives you the optioned when the darkness starts to have a lot of the babies
Sportsmen are overpaid is a clear thought doctors and nurses are underpaid is also a clear thought so which a conjunction in between while. It makes that a compound sentence right ??
technology which takes away jobs, is creating poverty in some areas. u did use comma after technology but Silicon Vally, where many technology firms operate, is located in the USA-U used comma after Silicon Vally.why?
I didn't understand few sentences. While u talking about compound sentence ,2ND SENTENCE WHY different? Why comma here .public transportation should be paid for by the government, but it is often under funded. So u didn't use any comma for 1st compound sentence. Another question is complex sentence has 2 subject so why here one ?Government are designed to run a country and receive money from tax payers. So why not any subject after and?
I've seen this video merely behind the day before the Exam day, certainly,it is massively benefited to me in case of writing to getting a high score. Thanks a lot for making a phenomenal multitasking tape❤🇧🇩
So lucky I came across this life saving video, Now I understand all about complex sentences.....The word complex made me think complex sentences has to be complicated.
Actually before watch that video i did not have an idea how to make a complex sentence ..but after that i could understood how to Make a complex sentences.. however i should deserve my gratitude for which relevant video...
Even though I don't work, I study English I don't want to get to America, because it doesn't have jobs I have no idea about cultures of eating or cook , as my friend has much knowledges of cook You can not go to your friend even you do your homeworks Until all my friends don't go to park, but I usually go to eat a lot of things of food and snacks at night or morning. Which is the best of our co-workers or I am prefered to you I must tell you about myself ,but without knowing any one , as I told my friend once of my life.

Hi How are you I hope you are doing well I just wanna ask one question Could I utilise question sentences in my writing task 2 ? I am waiting for your reply plzzz reply me plzzz plzzzz plzzz 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Hi Dinesh, no, you would not normally ask questions in IELTS writing task 2. This is a good technique to use for things like writing a magazine article but not for academic essays. Good luck!
Sorry, I am fully booked but I just wrote this article about how to get a band 9 in IELTS speaking here: ieltsfreeway.com/how-to-get-a-band-9-in-ielts-speaking/
I feel, there is particularly one information that is missing in the explanation of relative clause with respect to the comma. Relative clauses are also called as adjective clauses. Moreover, there are two types of adjective clauses, viz., identifying clause and non-identifying clause. Identifying clauses do not require any comma before and after them, whereas the non-identifying clauses require a comma before them and after them. This vital information is missing in the video, which I feel, one must know this, in order to get a good score.
Relative clauses are a different grammar point to complex sentence structure. They can be used together but there is NO necessity to study them together.
You are amazing sir. Even this video got a few comments, it does not mean that you lack skills. You are the best teacher. This video really helped me
Thank you Deepak, good luck on test day!
I agree with you.

I am posted to Attock at an RHC as an MO. I am enjoying practicing medicine and performing duty at night, and my colleagues are supportive as well.

thank you so mcuh for ur vedio, i can understand more about making sentences. previouly i don't have ideas about its.
In 5:40 you said that " because of human involvement " is a dependent clause. I wonder if a clause might not contain a verb ?
Thank you for the clear description 👍
Sir, I think you're missing a comma in the sentence below!
It should be: Celebrities, who break the law, receive a lot of negativity.
Technology which takes away jobs, is eating poverty in some areas.
“ I guess you have to convince him and her to ensure he understands what you said. “
Now can you tell me about changing and not changing him? I’m here all the time right next to him without him saying about it. I already know what caused he stuck or to be in this way. You know if you hand have the paper that gives you the optioned when the darkness starts to have a lot of the babies
Why is "Silicon Valley" followed by a comma while others arent, in the relative clause examples?
Sportsmen are overpaid is a clear thought doctors and nurses are underpaid is also a clear thought so which a conjunction in between while. It makes that a compound sentence right ??
