I only just recently watched the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie and I gotta say this scene sent chills down my spine, it was so epic!

The stare of all pirate lords knowing this could be their last stand together with their crew behind them makes this one of the best scenes of pirate history.

I was so disappointed they really didn't show all the pirate lords fighting with Beckett's fleet. That would be a historical fight scene.
To be fair, the battle against the Dutchman in the middle of a maelstrom is still pretty epic.

It was going to be too expensive. Besides The pearl, The flying dutchman and Beckett's ship is the fastest ship in their team. So them being in the lead makes sense

Many of the flags in this scene actually belonged to historical pirates
Visit some of the Caribbean islands lots of old Pirates history i know in my country island of puerto rico you can see it every where.
Love how the flag of the Black Pearl was such a menace when they were chasing the Interceptor in the first movie. And yet here it's accompanied by a battlecry for freedom as well as a sort of "Bring it on!" against tyranny. Funny how things change.
The winds of change are very real.
Yeah, freedom to steal from honest merchants and killing, terrorizing innocent people, to make themselves rich by using the common folk as a stepping stone to their success, hard to believe that people tend to forget that pirates were never the good guys in any story. Tyranny from a country and it's soldiers fighting to keep their people safe from killers, sadists and robbers, what a joke you are.
Caribbean piracy as we know it originally started that way. The brutal piracy you read about in history was a barbary coast issue, not a Caribbean problem.

Despite the rest of the pirate lords not fighting, this was still a pretty powerful scene. They would either win and live free, or die free fighting to protect their freedom.

That is still a GREAT freaking scene... 15 years later, and I still feel my heart swell up with some odd sort of pride in their Valor...
(Mind you, they're all murdering, plundering, thieving, pirates... but it's still awsome, especially in a fantasy world like this.)
Well, considering Beckett is killing, enslaving, extorting and seeking massive political power for the sake of personal gain, all while staying mostly within the bounds of the law (making it less likely for anyone besides the pirates to get rid of him), I'd argue that Beckett is the bigger problem.

The best part it's at the end it was just a fight between Black Pearl and Flying Dutchman and when Will became the captain and Endeavor was destroyed, all pirate lords celebrate like they had been fighting everyone bare hands

That Elizabeth's scene is so symbolic and solemn...remember the scene when she sees the jolly roger with fear when she was kid. and now it that escene but now she is the pirate king... it's a masterpiece of a director's scene there.

Gotta say, they did this brilliantly. The colours representing their freedom, which reminds me of One Piece where Luffy says 'The King of Pirates is the one with the most freedom on the seas'. Come to think of it, the Strawhats and Jack Sparrow would get along so well

This is an official petition for the Pittsburgh Pirates to stop singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch, and to sing "Hoist the Colours" instead.
Also, as a Pittsburgher myself, the next time I go to a Pirates game I'm dressing as Captain Morgan and screaming *_HOIST THE COLOURS!!!!_* at the top of my lungs at every opportunity.
This scene is one of the most epic rallies ever, and I usually have to contain myself from screaming "Hoist The Colours" at the TV with them. Sometimes it actually brings a tear to my eye.

I actually have this movie to thank, for my pirate flag tattoo. I was debating about which one to get, and because of the Pearl, I got the skull and crossed swords. Underneath is the inscription, "Dead Men Tell No Tales." It was the second tattoo I ever got (I have 9 now)

Out of all the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies: This is my favorite scene. When the creators, Producers and Directors made this scene: it says more, in VOLUMES, than most people can comprehend.
It incorporates the
World Traders and their shipping Companies, that are located in the Carribean.
I suppose most people do not know, that any flag bearing a Skull and possibly cross bones is Christians ..Skull and bones are a symbol of
John the Baptist.
I love seeing all the different pirate ships and their crew bound together by piracy ❤😊

Even if we didn't the brethren joining in the fight and have the biggest ship battle in cinema history, this scene is still hands down one of the most epic and inspiring moments i ever seen in any movie.

Something I find hilarious is when the Dutchman and Pearl are both firing at either side of the line ship is how the cannon balls just stop in the middle ship, at that range with the powder they are using they wouldn't stop they would fly straight through both sides and hit each other as well, I mean you see cannon balls continuing to fly after taking out the stairs, now basic physics would dictate that ball would hit the ship on the other side also (plot armour)
You do know that the Flying Dutchman is a cursed ship that can fully regenerate all damage, has cursed underwater creature sailors, was used to transport souls and can sink underwater then travel to the world of the dead? The Black Pearl was "brought back from the dead" thanks to the Flying Dutchman and is considered the fastest ship in-universe.
How realistic is that?
@@shadowmaster902 ok, so hypothetically speaking we are going to put 2 cursed or 'brought back from the dead' ships and put them against legit British navy ship of the line, I dont care that it was movie and these 'movie ships' have 'special powers' they are still made of wood and you are shooting solid steel balls through them, also if you remember when jack was in the brig of the pearl and they where fighting the pearl still took damage remember the scene "stop blowing holes in my ship" it still took damage, and enough damage will cause a ship to sink, I'm not trying to stomp on your fantasy love for ships that can take ungodly amounts of punishment and still float, I'm just stating facts.
@@madrustytiger It's not about the ships being powerful, they are but that isn't the point. The point is that you are trying to add realism in a world where realism we know is a joke and the ships I talked about are great examples of fantasy. Did you miss the countless curses and a literal goddess in the same movie?
Plus, even if they did take damage and sank, the Dutchman can easily "resurrect" both making your realism inconsequential.

Jusr realise how unique the POTC plot is, like The story may look like it revolves around Cptn Jack Sparow, but really every Movie he is not the main character but just A key Character that elevates all other Characters in the Plot,
