jesus christ. i am 15 and can barely break 5 min in a 1600. this kid is insane. to be fair, i don’t run track and lift heavy and am probably bigger than 99% of sprinters so lactic acid becomes a problem but GOD DAMN. 5:07 is probably faster than most of my soccer teammates.

I'm a competetive runner who loves the sport and tonight I watched a new men's World Record for the 5000M on the track. Twas in Monaco - took down the old world record of 16+ years standing by 2 whole seconds - blew my away! This performance, however, was something altogether 'other' - extraordinary! Beautiful pacing and running action. What a star! Joshua Cheptegei, yr in 2nd place tonight.
