- This week's aftermarket part in Modern Warfare III is the JAK Cutthroat stock with gives a massive boost to aim walking speed as well as ADS strafe speeds so today, I wanted to break down how it works as well as my new best strafe builds in the game! Oh my, an attachment to give new life to the icarus 556???? My beloved
I like SHG's game design and philosophy for MW3's attachments and AMPs, but we've gotten so many that have been glitched in one way or another on release. I get that it's probably not easy dealing with legacy MW2 code while also churning out content for MW3 like madmen, but it'd be nice if they could pay more attention to the QA, too.
This stock did get me looking into high mobility builds, though, especially for SMGs and the RAM-9 specifically. Turns out it's almost as fast as the MTZ-556, which is stupid fast. But I like my optics, and the RAM-9 can reach max speed while allowing me to equip one, whereas the MTZ doesn't. It's turned one of the best guns into something that's even more fun to run and gun with.
What QA? M$ gutted that.

Yeah, too bad it looks so horrible. The Renetti conversion kit has the real M4 stock and the MTZ weapons have the signature ACR Stock. I wish they added those stocks for their respective weapons instead

@@jeremybrown9611thats one thing IW does better than SHG imo, the gun aesthetics and models looked better for me in MW2019 and MWII (just look at the WSP-9 and the MW2019 Uzi) For instance putting any vert grip on the Rival 9 just looks like an out of place dildo that was glued to the gun and the character model doesnt even grip it right its like its still using it without a grip. And the Bruen Heavy Support Grip looks ugly af on most guns but it looks the most retarded on the Uzi💀 Cod graphics as a whole was at its peak in MW2019 imo, the guns actually had a solid metal look there
@@BackupReal I believe you're thinking of the COR-45's Binary trigger kit, otherwise known as the Glock 21-C with the funny looking trigger gaurd. But yeah it'd be nice to get the real M4 stock for the M4, and to be able to make the modular ACR (I think that's what it's called). But only time will tell

The amount of idiots I've seen doing this is staggering. I've even seen them dropshot me while I'm not even looking at them.
The worst part? This doesn't even help. It may work the first two times, but the moment I realize you're dropshotting on EVERY gunfight, you'll never get a kill on me again due to the dropshot itself. But what else would I expect from these worms if not a worm's brain?

The aesthetics of this stock reminds me a lot of the ICR-1 Stock from Black Ops 3. Weird

This thing is like making an Assault rifle into an SMG mobility wise, it's fun as hell with the M4 lol. Edit:HOLY MOLY THAT IS PRETTY QUICK ON THE MTZ 556! Might have to start using the stalker boots

Strafer boots
Please god no. We don't need people pre aim rushing lanes. There are enough guns that have fast movement speed with fast ADS and quick sprint out that can already clear an area when combined with jump shots or ESPECIALLY Slide canceling which is basically a double advantage in this game since you can have hip fire to aim which to a point negates the sprint out time and some of the ADS speed.

I like the way they're going with aftermarket parts that work for multiple guns, especially seeing them push attachments onto MW2 weapons; However, I do think this part is a bit limiting in its use cases. Would love to see more stuff like this in the future though.
Was trying it last night and having a combination of stability and speed feels amazing. Reminds me of one of the stocks in MW19 on the Striker 45 and I *always* used that stock on the Striker, almost nothing else. Feels great!

this kind of helps the AMR9 come back into play because if you apply this with the dr6 handstop or whatever that ads movement speed stock is, you are strafing like CRAZY in gunfights now.

I was testing this yesterday and I landed on your exact MTZ build as my favorite way of using this. Could always swap out the muzzle for the zehm compensator too

this level of strafe speed reminds me of an early exploit in cod online. One of the pay-to-win dual-mode guns 'destiny' has SMG-level strafe speed while is also able to use assault rifle's stock attachment (basically the old stalker), making it having insane strafe speed. People called it 'skateboard' back in the day just because of that.
I wish it looked a little different but im incredibly happy that it was added. Time to relive MW3 stalker strafe speeds in MWIII 😎
When Strafing is done right... boy... hard target(No Diddy)
I don't mind them adding this as an aftermarket part, kind of neat actually. Probably easier to balance with it only working on a select type of weapons. Maybe they can add another one for other weapons with different downsides to mix it up.
It also buffs bunny hopping. You jump a farther distance while ads since you’re moving quicker.

If y'all are keen-eyed enough and/or have played Advanced Warfare before, you know that this stock uses the same-or a new and improved-model of the AMR9's base stock.
So you can use that on your MWIII AMR9, to make a pseudo/sort of-accurate AW AMR9. Or if you wanna be quirky, the AMR18
The stock reminds me a lot of the stock that the AMR9 had in Advanced Warfare.

Quick question, how is it on the interceptor? Wondering if you can make a good strafing sniper build since it can easily one shot
BTW im pretty sure you can make the AMR9 move faster if you equip the tectonic barrel and the handstop, you go up to 4.3m/s

Whats the thing about parts that dont change the stats? Example dragons eye optic says it help with ads walking speed but nothing to the stats.
Anyone else dealing with a glitch where if you edit a class in game it doesn’t change even though it shows that it does?
Say you change a tactical from flash to smoke and it shows it changed yet you’re still throwing flashes?
i hope we get a underbarrel that can just eliminate one part of the weapon' sdownside(like idel sway) and adds crazy sideeffects like crazy recoil or ads penalty

I tried this stock in the hurricane and not gonna lie i kinda liked it, like it was quite good but the hurricane its not that powerful in ttk to be very strong or something like that with the stock. But i recommend you tried in the hurricane just to give the hurricane a little love (and also because its the only attachment that gives movility to the hurricane or m4 family outside the handstops)
I'd prefer more mwiii guns for aftermarket parts, but it's nice they're adding so many that change the guns a fair bit. I mean, like completely changing the gun like the bruen week 1 kit
Why cant it be used on the tempus torrent when it mentioned working on m4 platform guns? The torrents description says its part of the m4 platform and so does mw2s platform system
So how do lightweight boots work with ads speed? I have been using stalker boots but if lw lets you move forward faster I would probably use those instead.

Hey check out the emd grenade, it's bugged and you can't remove the tracker. The prompt also never leaves your screen to remove it so you can't reload

Ace could you tell Sledgehammer about a bug that has been since day 1? There is a MCW Stock that is not available for any MCWs. Its called "MCW Blackjack stock" and its only available for the MTZ Interceptor and 762. I have been waiting for that fix for ages
This won’t stop the broken Aim Assist just remember the boys event with the speed boost perk, it was not a problem at all aim assist was still tracking easily lmao but really good video man !
Hey Ace the CS15 Scarlet Box laser reduces minimum hipfire spread by 90-100%, and I haven't seen anyone talk about this yet. Try it out on the lever Bas-B or the Tyr with snakeshots
He's mentioned it before. After the first shot it doesn't help though

How fast can you strafe with tac stance? I feel like this should be covered in the video since you should be able to strafe even faster with it.
I think as opposed to comparing against the base weapon, you should’ve put on another stock that increase strafe where applicable, I find on the Mtz this stock is not worth it compared to the other one that improves walk speed
Is the KV broadside bugged for anyone else? I build a loadout and it won't let me use any attachments in a match?

I don't doubt how powerful this can be for strafe builds but there is one big problem - you can have too much strafe....
Not only do you have a hit a moving (or jumping, sliding, slide canceling, etc) target but you yourself have to purposely move at max strafe speed and that will cause you to miss shots. Also, strafing greatly depends on where you are AND where the enemy is in the gunfight. If the enemy is behind cover I could strafe and make it harder for me to hit the enemy....or I could strafe into/behind cover myself and throw off my shots because I bumped into something or shot an object in the playing field.
And what if I like to go prone in some situations? Or slide cancel? Or jumpshot?
I mainly strafe for 2 reasons:
1. To help myself be more accurate with my shots (ie. strafe right if my initial shots are off center left)
2. Make it harder for the enemy to hit me because i'm out in the open
I just don't think a single attachment like this that hurts recoil (possibly the most important gun stat for winning gunfights) is worth it to most people who play the game. I'm not likely to equip a rifle with 30m range to dodge the enemies bullets if that doesn't aid me in killing the enemy...
While testing this out a bit, it seems to me that the aim walking stability buff it provides helps way more than its nerf to recoil hurts. Plus it actually seems easier to hit shots with this stock than stocks that buff recoil.
Honestly depends a lot on whether you use controller or M&K since aim assist plays a large part in how aiming while strafing works, as well as aim walking stability & other visual bobbing.
Call me crazy but I love it on the M16
It says that the stock hurts recoil control but it seems to me that the aim walking steadiness makes the gun move around less when shooting than buffing recoil control does.
I still want hear attachments for the m16 strafe build tho
As a keyboard and mouse player this is going to make me lose more gun fights against controller players.BUT I still love the fact that they added it. I agree it should be on more guns... Like all primaries except Snipers. LMGs NEED that strafe boost. All guns do. They slowed call of duty down way to much.

Should use that same wall you used for strafe speed for recoil patterns.
It doesn’t display bullet holes very well and you can’t get far enough back with a straight angle to the wall.

If you skip the suppressor and choose 20 mag you get even faster!
I use it on the M4 Icarus
For mtz the telescopic stock tho. You get 4 instead of 4.2 ads movement but no punishment to recoil
While it's not a bad choice, the telescoping stock doesn't give the great boost to aim walking steadiness that the Cutthroat does so your sights bounce around a lot more while strafing and when you combine that with the loss of firing aim stability with the telescoping, I actually find it more accurate and easier to control the MTZ556 with the Cutthroat stock when strafing.

Tac Stance strafe is always faster than ADS strafe as it works as a multiplier to your ADS strafe value

Nope, you'll see a noticeable increase to your tac stance spread with this on so it's not really well suited to strafe builds.

is it good with MWII guns?
It can be but with the M4 for instance (probably the best MWII gun you can use this stock on), there aren't enough additional attachments that boost Aim Walking Speed to get strafe speed even close to the level of the MTZ-556.

Aim Walking is when moving forward while aiming down sight

It's already difficult with normal movement tracking someone strafing on m&k because of this lean of the up torso of the character model. With this new stock it's out of hand for me at least. Maybe it's easier to track on controller.
I feel like this is an attachment that needs a 10% reduction. Because the strafe speeds on their own are crazy and then combined with stalker boots and a strafe focused build, you're moving at practically standard movement speed side to side while ADS and that is NUTS. Yeah it's on limited guns but... WTF... I don't think I've ever seen strafe speeds this high in a CoD game since AW, BO3 and Infinite since you needed strong strafe speeds to counter the general player speed. This needs some level of nerf, even if it's just not having your character model (And therefore hitbox) wiggling their torso (Upper chest and above in particular) side to side nearly as much. A lot of guns that burn through even extended mags fast are going to be burning more ammo on a person using this, and I foresee small map mosh pit in particular (Especially Shipment and Stash house) being a lot of worms until people get tired of just using these guns.
If only sbmm wasnt set to %500 the past few days.

yes but it harms tac stance accuracy
Tac Stance speed seems to be based on ADS speed. Keep in mind there is a small Spread penalty tho
Yes but it also noticeably harms your tac stance spread so it's likely not your best bet to put it on a Tac Stance build

Most of my setups use high strafe speed. I thought it broke aim assist even before this attachment

I feel like this is good for the noobies of the game, I tend to just slide and get close and use my movement and not get hit.
You know what would be great? If the game actually told you what gun you can use this attachement on instead of being like: "Here's a new attachement! Good luck finding it LOL!!!😂🤣🙃🤡🖕"
