Its kinda like ChrisFix only Chris knows people will do what he teaches.. In JR its more teaching us what every part he fixes does but aint really showing how to fix it and im fine with that lol
@JR I was thinking that maybe you should build a shop in your backyard with a big roll up door and two lifts. One lift could be for long term projects and the other for normal projects. It would be nice to see a legit WatchJRGo Garage.
"I dont use funnels" John Ross 2020 ........ whats the yellow thing hanging out of that Motul bottle .... 😂😂😂 just admit it. you are a peasant like the rest of us.
@@JerryDLTN If you use RUclips Premium they pay out to the creators alot more than ad revenue does. Most channels make all of their money in ad revenue but the person watching has to watch the entire ad. If you skip when the option pulls up, depending on the length of the ad they'll only pay 5% - 10% of what they would if you watched the whole ad. Which at that point is only like a few cents. YT Premium pays a flat amount per video. It's really fucked up how the revenue works honestly.
This is a massive amount of work to get this engine back together and running. Anyone that could not see that has never done any major work on a car/truck. Great work JR, you are a legend my Man. Can't wait to see the R8 rolling down the road on it's own power.
Thanks, guys. Incredible job on a very complex rebuild. Massive kudos to starting the R8 on the very first try. I put this accomplishment up and equal with a black guy I was following for a while from a small West African nation. He did all of his own shade tree mechanical work unassisted on his '05 Audi. No job was too big, but this was strictly out of necessity, and like you guys, nothing he encountered ever phased him. What made him more heroic was there were very few gas stations in this country and zero parts suppliers, never mind paved roads. He became so popular it attracted the attention of the wrong people. He was forced to take down his RUclips videos after he was thrown in jail, stripped naked and beaten for two days. No one had given a thought to how bad he had made the state government agencies look. That's when I switched over to WatchJRgo. So, how are you guys with the local politicians?
Hey JR , congrats Buddy. You did it ! Much thanks to Josh for being there . Please drive safe out there. If it was me I would now SELL it . Was a great build. Best wishes
GumbyParity Mick cause he put in 7k worth of parts and labor on a 500 dollar tracker lol. Really literally rebuild that pos. Those things sucked when they were new. I remember cause I saw them on the showroom. Junky as fuck. But like I said before without a true refinish. Something that makes people love to drive it. It’s just another jalopy he couldn’t get 1000 for running like new. Wasted effort.
Great video. If you lay the bottle on it's side it will pour much better. Can't wait to see you install the most important component, "FOR SALE" in the window.
Way to go John Ross, I take my hat off to you. I'm really pleased that you are finally getting that beautiful German monster back on the road. Can't wait for your next installment?
Curious why no one has taken the 4.0 liter V-8 bi-turbo motor out of a S8 plus with 605 hp and dropped it into a R8 V8? Probably a direct bolt in and then tune it for 1000 hp. Hot Vee seems like way better packaging for an R8 for turbos?
That P0087 code may be from air in the fuel rails might clear for good after a drive, get the engine under load to build some serious fuel pressure to purge the air bubbles, just free wheeling/ neutral revving won't build max fuel pressure, glad to see it running, maybe smoke test it to see if you missed any ports
If I could help Joshs and Watch JR Goes work on the twin turbo Audi R8 I would drink the cold Bartle Skeets and roll up the fat Woolford and get all schmoked up.
So glad to see it all coming back together! Can't wait to see what else is in store for the R8. I remember you saying something about the yellow accents a long time ago.. Me personally, I dig it. It's sutble.
How are you staying organized enough to make sure you haven't forgotten anything? You never show it on camera, but stuff just comes together by magic. This thing is so complicated, do you have schematics/diagrams you're referencing?
BROOOO!!! Congrats on everything and the success you have been seeing here on your channel! It's been awhile since I've been tapped in but man I'm Happy to see it! Keep Killing it and keep the quality content coming!!
Awesome job guy's, That is a tough car to work on, yes you don't just through them together. I was glad to see a funnel in the end? you should use more often.
It's The "How to buy an R8 and a new engine, a Viper Truck, a Rolls Royce, A Chevy Volt and a new roof for your house without having a job" show! This may be the biggest mystery after who shot JFK and why is there no blue food......
Should be good to go for another 150K miles... until these two make the move up to Samcrac status. Until then, no pizza truck for you! First off they will have to get a dealer license before they buy any more Copart cars with an extra 1000 in fees attached.
Have you ever thougt about getting it back to original? You could drive a sorted R8 with a brand new engine, without any issues for a long time. These cars are often used as dailys here in Europe with over 100.000 miles and still running great. It's a very comfortable car for traveling long distances.
This is a really basic tip, but if you turn the bottle (oil, ps, etc...) around so that the pouring bit is at the top instead of the bottom, you get a cleaner pour w/o all the glugging.
Do u have a part number for the exhaust clamp?? We are doing a exhaust on r8 and we broke the clamp also. Having a hard time paying 140 per clamp from Audi
Very happy to see an update on this project. Hopefully we'll get a "Rolls Smoke" update soon too.
We will in a year lol
Probably a few months before the next cleetus and cars event he will start working on the rear end of it.
5:11 I was thinking "Wow, JR is really good at this, I would've dropped the screw!"
Two second later... "Oh, he is human!"
Electrical tapes works extremely well to keep the screw on your driver while you line them up.
Never thought I'd see the day
A trick : you can watch movies on flixzone. Been using them for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Terrance Harper Yup, been using flixzone} for years myself =)
@Terrance Harper Yup, been watching on flixzone} for years myself =)
Honestly after watching all the videos and factoring in the time it took to get the parts one year is pretty impressive.
WatchJRGo- "i spend $10,000 dollars a month at O'Reillys!"
O'Reillys- "Here, have a free shirt on us JR!"
O'Reilly's should sponsor the channel!
misterjag I believe they do in some capacity.
@@misterjag I honestly thought they've been his sponsor for a year now.
He has business account on O'Reillys
Guess he needs something to do. Cause doing all that work. Pathetic.
Ok the smile on your face when it finally started. Was worth the wait.
Congrats jr
I must be on the wrong channel. This guy is almost done with his R8. 🤣
I like how he te tells us how to do it like we are attempting this also lol. Great job I cant wait to see you drive it!
I completely agree. I'll NEVER do this myself but there's some thing about it that has me watching the ordeal in full.....love it!
Its kinda like ChrisFix only Chris knows people will do what he teaches.. In JR its more teaching us what every part he fixes does but aint really showing how to fix it and im fine with that lol
@@royliber3824 yeah you get the fundamental idea from these videos but they are still helpful in understanding the different types of cars.
JR seems like he always has the best attitude at all times which is inspiring. Does he ever look upset?
Hopefully the on the next episode of watch JRGO well get to see you driving your R8 around town?
It's in Florida right now getting the twin turbos set up properly, but maybe.
I do like your mannerism , never over excited and never flustered with a leaky car , enjoy your channel !!

When do you get any rest? All the car repairs and video editing leaves little time for sleeping.
He runs on high octane energy drinks
blaakrose he does look tired.
Money needs to be earned, parts need to be bought, videos need to made, ad money needs to be earned in order to finally sleep.

Project Binky and a WatchJRGo R8 video in one day. Wow. What a time to be alive!
Clicked asap when i saw it bro..
This is awesome, you two killed it undoubtedly. Absolutely fantastic workmanship from the both of you. Super exciting stuff

It was a long time coming but, you finally got the old girl running. It’s certainly a mammoth undertaking. Happy for you and Josh! 👏
Never clicked so fast to watch a video
I just wish we had O'Reillys and customer service like that in Britain. Great job on the R8
It's only his O'Reilly's that look's warm inviting,friendly and we'l stocked.
The one near my house is nothing like JR's
I live in the same town as Jr and the people at my orileys aren't inviting at all
Viking Man lol mine looks at me like “ what u want”... like i slept with his wife lmao🤣🤣🤣
Brilliant job on this car, JohnRoss. You looked sooooo tired at 15:00.
Hey JR , congrats Buddy. You did it ! Much thanks to Josh for being there .

What is everyone going to complain about now?
They will be wanting to see rolls smoke actually roll smoke
Not seeing amber alot :(
His audio perpetually clipping? I call him "WatchJRClip" now. ;)

I love to see you make progress on this complex beast.
This is an insane amount of progress in a single video! Way to go fellas!
I've been waiting on this vid. The smile on your face when it finally started is priceless!
Great job buddy. Can't wait to see that thing on the road
Can’t wait to see the day you take it for a drive 👍
gotta ask the question did you change the injector on the cylinder that melted? coz i know one thing i would.
John Ross using a funnel! A sure final sign of the Apocalypse!
Year went by fast!!
It’s been a long time coming and I’m getting excited like I’ll be driving that beautiful beast !!! Great job
Really fantastic engine replacement, JR! I am really, really impressed with your skills, because this mid-engine design is really, really complicated.
random motul plug just sitting on the roof of the car!

Nice work dude. That should shut up all the people that keep asking about the R8.
Great job! Can't wait to see you take it on the maiden voyage.
Steve Harvey on the tv is my favorite easter egg in this video!

Congratulations on the r8. That's a lot of work.
Great work - almost forgot you had an Audi ... Now we need the Roller
Hell Yeah! Happy to see all the progress so far.
Any Truck parts shop would have that clamp too for future reference.
Way to go dude! Keep up with the good work. But I´m still hoping for some vintage audio project...
Crazy amount of complexity. Rather you than me. Good job guys.
Jun 20th. its now december Where is the DRIVING VIDEO???
I can’t even explain how quickly I clicked on this video, I broke my finger...
Wow, no surprise cars in the driveway this time.
It’s about gosh dang time I been watching for nearly a year waiting on you to do this R8 😂😂
Finally the car that i subscribed for it and happy its back
So, this is going to be your give-away car, right? Thanks for the fun JRGo.
if you flip that bottle of power steering over so the spout is at the top it pours alot smoother
GR8 to see everything coming together
You guys are doing am awesome job , thanks for the vid and happy father's day

check the fuel rrail pressure could be dumping fuel back in tank regulates pressure
Once you're done with the R8 ,a lot of people wont have anything to gripe about..lol Good job. Looking forward to seeing that test drive.
Very nice progress on the Audi. See ya next year.
Can’t wait to see it on the road!
Thank you JR your doing great. What a great job. Can't wait to see what you do with this car !!!!
This is just awesome content good luck setting the turbos!
yasss, finally some action. Next video R8 burnout.
Good I finally get to see it done
You need to make some branded funnels for merch lol
So it took "only" a year.... how many of us could have done that job?......(An immeasurable amount....) Great job JR!
As an R8 tech, i highly approve of this message haha.
Well done!!!!
Glad you finally got it running. Big question is are you keeping it??
Congrats JR on that progress!
Time to take us on a road-test JR.
I'll bet you you will be glad to have your garage back !! And a functioning R8 !!
I was literally thinking about this car last night and boom they actually worked on it!
She is looking great man!
bro this is like rob dahm's 4 rotor, the never ending project 🤣
Legit unsubbed from Rob Dahm. Dude straight up admitted he purposely keeps projects going forever just so he can get views.
Seriously, I'm over his channel..🤔
Joe Black I guarantee you Project Binky over at Bad Obsession Motorsports will be done before the 4 rotor.

HE WAS SO BUSY WITH THIS HE HAD TO CUT HIS OWN HAIR IN THE DARK..
Can you tell me where you bought your coolant vacuum fill system?
wont this need retune so it dont blow up again from to much boost
