- From WIKIPEDIA: "The story goes that Mary had spent the evening dancing with a boyfriend at the Oh Henry Ballroom. At some point, they got into an argument and Mary stormed out. Even though it was a cold winter's night, she thought she would rather face a cold walk home than spend another minute with her boyfriend. She left the ballroom and started walking up Archer Avenue. She had not gotten very far when she was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver, who fled the scene leaving Mary to die. Her parents found her and were grief-stricken at the sight of her dead body. They buried her in Resurrection Cemetery, wearing a beautiful white dancing dress and matching dancing shoes. The hit-and-run driver was never found."

I was born and raised in Chicago and have driven down Archer Road many times during the day and at night and never saw her. I do believe she is real.
I have many relatives including my mother that are at rest at Resurrection Cemetery that holds 250,000 Souls.
Driving home from work not far from Resurrection Cemetary one night in the nineties I saw a woman in a white dress walking along the road, being tired and wanting to get home I never stopped. It was only later on did I realize who it may have been. I'm still not sure to this day!
I saw Mary...walking in front of the cememtary....in a long white dress....barefoot...in the snow....thought she was crazy...but she disappeared...quickly....so this ghost story is true...I've seen her

I saw the gates bended by , it appears, human hands...much later. I was in HS. Must have been between 82- 85... Their were news reporters and photographers and cameras there too. It happened
The bent gate is interesting. I used to listen to Richard Crowe on WGN every Halloween. My favorite story was about St. Rita's church. Now, Richard Crowe is a ghost.
He's probably CANOODLING with Resurrection Mary. She's probably very grateful for all the publicity he generated over the years about her case.

My aunt /godmother is buried there. She died in a car crash on Christmas Eve (her car hit a railroad abutment) back in the 60s.
I saw Mary walking by in the snow...thought she was stupid wearing no shoes...she disappeared when a bus went buy.

Learn your streets...Archer ave. Is the long strech...but certain areas are archer Blvd. Speak less before showing your ass. That is why people show stupidity that have never learned to keep quiet and let there actions or true smarts show rather than just opening their mouths (or in this case always typing). Lesson is over just show less stupidity and more drive to push for greater thingd then to try and be right over something so dumb as a supposed miss pronunciation of a street name (which if doing homework on the area would have known that) so enjoy and hope you learned by now otherwise you could really do yourself a lot of damage especially in the wrong areas if you are lost and cant get signal for maps on a phone cause no one knows how to follow their brains in directions. Meaning you would go down archer and get hit with a robbery rather than go on archer Blvd and see sights cause you went the wrong way on archer cause to many people are dependent on things now days and dont know your ass from a hole in the ground. So enjoy your life and hope you enjoy your day too. Just dont speak on something you dont fully know 100%.

My daughter is a certified nursing assistant in an assisted living home and she is very empathic. She has spoken many times of those who have passed there and how she feels their presence and the strange unexplained things that have happened particularly in their former rooms.
I have seen ghosts before so I beleave that she is real. But I never seen her all the times we went by there. But I don't think we went be there at the right time. This was supposed to happen at night and we were always going home at night and that was the opposite way from her.
That music is by far the creepiest shit i.ve ever heard. Turn that crap off so I can hear.
