I appreciate the honesty of you including the hike fail in your video. Knowing when to turn around and write it off until next time is an important skill, even if you're only battling the clock.
We need to get a bigger Flask! We have followed in your footsteps and bring Screwball along on our BP trips too. LOL! Great video, so peaceful out there. Amazing visual of the Milky Way.
Thank you for making this video! I'll be staying at the Haynach (llama) site tomorrow and your video was helpful in getting a sense of what the campsite will be like. Also, I'll be coming in from the east side of the park (over Flattop Mtn.) but I downloaded your Alltrails map to use for the section between the campsite and the lakes. Again, I appreciate you sharing this content!
Dave I’ve followed your maintenance video for some time. You are amazing and thanks. Just came across your other channel, love it as much. Sad about your fires, very sad. But I kept looking at the forest floor still beautiful wild flowers. Thanks for your content
Hey Rich!! Thanks for coming over here ! The fires are very sad but you are right about the flowers and amount of fresh life growing in these burn scars. 🌳
Great video as always! I am glad to see the wildflowers are coming back an sad to see all the burned trees. We just saw a show that featured Crested Butte Colorado an might make plans to visit there next! The wildflowers were beautiful in ths are an also the aspens in the fall.. Thanks for sharing your adventures at least you got a few lakes to check off the list this time.
Great hike Dave. Drove by that area after visiting Fraser valley over the weekend and it’s very peaceful and lovely place despite all the fire damage. Will go back and camp at Timber Creek in a couple of weeks and hope to finally do Mt Ida. Got turned around by weather a couple of times before
Another great video about the best place on earth. Thanks for sharing the details about the permit system. Big respect for size of that flask!
Thanks Michele! I know the flask looks big but I barely fill it up half-way lol (for one nighters)

Thanks for checking it out Martin - as much as I hate hike failing I don’t mind sharing them
Another great video that takes me back to my favorite park. Thanks Dave thanks Emily. 👍🏻

Thanks for sharing, as always very nice video.

Hey Lauren, Crested Butte sounds amazing, haven't been yet but heard great things :) I know Emily liked it out there

Thanks Jun, the wildflowers in that burn area were crazy. Good luck with Mt Ida !
Great campsite. Lucky the fire didn't get up there.
Ya it's crazy how much of that area got affected, not much survived... :(
