What Is a 110v Mig Welder?
110-volt welders are helpful machines for accomplishing fundamental welding work with light to medium measure metal areas. They're not as regular to discover, and it's a lot harder to discover brands that make them all around ok to give reliable quality welds. However, when you do, they're a significant machine to consider and unique in the correct conditions.

I have the Hobart 115V. Been using it regularly for 3 years and have been very happy with it.

The Hobart 140 mig is amazing. Been welding with a Miller 225 mattic for 3 years and tried out the 140 and I love it. Got it for $550. Throw that flux core wire crap out and throw in some 0.31 wire with 75% c02 25% argon mix gas remember to reverse the polarity in the machine. And you’ll be welding dimes no problem.
My favorite setting for the machine is 46 - 52 wire speed and maxed out the voltage.

Question, I'm no experienced welder but I'm fixing to take up a bobber motorcycle project. So a bit of light welding will be necessary,
      My question is this
If a millermattic 220 welds steel with.035 and N.O.S., wouldn't you need the same for a 110v welder regardless of brand?

@@srghosthunter3310 220 the one I have are two phase. Won't work with a 120v outlet. You gotta have some electrical power to run it.
But I think you'll be just fine with the 140 Hobart. I have a drag car and done all my roll bar and framework to it. Even exhaust work.
