Now that I think about it, on that same year, somebody randomly posted a picture of an art project with random descriptions that eventually became the start of SCP. Actually, I've just realized iPhone came out early in January 2007. So, 2007 is a peculiar year.

That might be for the best. I've read some of the wikis and well.... for lack of a better word, it can get kind of retarded. Like out right contradictions within a single article. I remember one talking about how this long hallway with doors on either side occasionally had doors in the middle that would lead to another hallway of doors. Except, almost immediately the article states that "it had never been found." What? How the actual fuck do you know something exists in the Backrooms if NOBODY HAS EVER FOUND IT?! SCP articles can get pretty dumb sometimes, but half of what I've read on the Backrooms wikis sounds like something a 12 year old trying to be spooky would make up. I think it's best that Nux sticks with the Kane Pixels version as its the most well thought out, best written, and best produced version of the whole mythos.

For real. I’m not a fan of the ‘entitiesentitiesentities’ focus. Liminal spaces have more of a calming effect on me, but it’s almost impossible to find liminal space games with a more Backrooms aesthetic WITHOUT entities and that isn’t absolute garbage

Slight correction Nux, Backrooms started as most creepy stuff did: a creepypasta on 4chan. And without trying to sound like a ‘it was better back in my day’, I kinda preferred it a little more because there was WAY more focus on just the creepy, unsettling emptiness rather than the current ‘omg entities’ focus
Ngl I think Kane's interpretation is better because the true horror is in the fact that you can fall in and never leave, or weeping angel style get stuck in another chunk of time, or the fact that even if you find your way out, this company will force you back in and nobody will know. Not to mention you're constantly on a clock and you probably won't find any food. In his canon the entities are a mild threat but constantly peaking at you from every corner, just enough for you to never be truly safe.
In comparison to most interpretations where the only horror is "omg entities", which I'll admit kinda sucks.
The OG was just an endless unknown space, and the unknown is scary sure, but my personal favorite has gotta be Kane's.

I think it’s because liminal spaces actually calm me, oddly enough. So you can prolly see how throwing in a buncha entities, or having some shady corporation just throwing poor saps into it to figure out how to exploit it kinda puts me off
I feel like you can appreciate both? We know plenty of the entities in the backrooms can be attributed to things like the mutant hay bacillus strain, which implies that the backrooms either includes non-canon horrors that were not included in the reality simulation's main layer that are now able to ACCESS reality, or stuff from reality changed by exposure to the backrooms.
The liminal spaces are still there, there's a LOT of floors that are probably just empty, but since people and things are noclipping into the backrooms both are possible.

I used to play Scarface The World Is Yours on PS2.
The deep ocean would send a shark if you went too far out. That same mottled deep blue would appear when I took the game out without turning off the PS2. The music would glitch and I had to turn it off, the people would vanish and the cars would start falling into the ocean as it consumed the map and roads ended in nothing but background, because it's under everything else.
This is what I'm picturing, the world slowly collapsing in on itself because there's no more new input keeping the simulation running...

@dembi2770 Some users in 4chan made it back in 2009, I believe. Somewhere around it. Definitely not in 2010s. Also, Kane said he never made it. I've been in the community long before Kanes adaption (which isn't faithful to some stuff in the backrooms fan wiki)

Okay, so I just realized how horrifying the message "DON'T MOVE, STAY STILL" actually is. Because we've seen that same entity in "Pitfalls" mimic human voices to attract Martin, the A-Sync worker, it's possible that it could've written that message as well to trick its victims into thinking that standing still will save them. My proof? The monster was very clearly stalking Kane since the beginning of the video, and it's only after he read the message that it attacked him. The monster tricked both Kane and Martin by mimicking human behavior and using psychological tactics.

I've found the back rooms before. They were an office building, that was vacant, and has it been rented out for about a year. It had the same wallpaper, the look of the walls, and even had a sub basement. And even smelled of mildew. The things that me and my friends did as kids back when children were allowed to play, and our parents told us not to come home until just before the street lights came on. This was in oregon. And the literal back door to the building, had its lock broken. I swear there now, there would have been homeless people living there, but with the large size of this building, you never would have known.
You should check out the main Backrooms lore. It’s more like SCP, Broogli is the guy who covers it best.

I don’t like the simulation theory as much, but I do like the liminal space theory, the back rooms are a liminal space created by the electromagnetic device creating a non Euclidean space which has a larger volume on the inside than its outside dimensions

I started this video thinking it was something about the game that been out, didnt realize all this stuff around it.
There are actually a lot of various internet collective stories that have insane amounts of lore and other things that basically are good but they don't have a specific lore tied to them.
the kane pixels conon is different from the main backrooms canon. you should play games like escape the backrooms and such, or watch a deep dive into the various layers and entities of the backrooms. Kane has barely scratched the surface.
This reminds me of how City of heroes sort of randomizes it's maps. A lot of maps are set in stone but many office buildings have maze like structures that make no real sense.
This somehow reminds me of "man asks the forbidden question" from Hoot in youtube.

Hey Nux, love your lore videos and would love to see you reacting to a RUclipsr called Broogli, he makes a bunch of Backrooms videos, in which he explains different Levels and Creatures and other stuff. So if you plan on making more Backrooms lore videos I definitely recommend him he makes awesome videos.
This isn't even the true Lord. This is just what kane pixels created. You need to take a deep dive on the real backRooms dive through the Wiki. Find videos that explain different levels. Because this is baby stuff compared to The real backrooms, I will list off a few names of the levels Level 0 through 100

Anytime i think about modern horror (this includes the backrooms) i think about how it's similar to Charlie and his annoying roommate in that one episode where he gets sent to hell.
It works on children but god is it annoying to experience as an adult.
One time, I threw a cell phone, and the battery clipped out of it and landed beside it, with the case remaining closed. I try not to think about that too much.
Wasn't the running theory that the black creatures are humans that were trapped in the backrooms? You don't starve, you don't thirst, but you get changed by the place over time. That's why the black handprint was there on one of the vids - it wasn't a hand dirty with black tar. It was the hand changing into the black tar.
