    Have you guys visited Marine drive yet? Start at Marine drive opposite to Trident hotel and walk all the way to Girgaum chowpatty. Good food stalls on the beach.
    Also, Bandra is another good area to explore.
    If you want to do an activity, zero latency in Lower Parel is good.
    Also, a good restaurant recommenadation is Burma Burma in the area you are staying in.

    FUN FACT- The real name of "Chor Bazaar " was actually "Shor Bazaar", shor means noise because of the metal workshops there. But the Brits couldn't pronounce shor so it became chor.😅

    Some shopping tips would be: Give an initial price that is 80% off the shopkeeper's ask price then try to settle to 70% the price.
    Eg: if the shopkeeper says 1000, you counter with 200 (80% off), then 250 (75%) and final 300 (70%). If still he doesn't burge then act like you don't need it & start Leaving, they will call you back.

    Tips - These street vendors know that international tourists can pay 3-4 times than actual cost as they don't know local rates. They will always charge 4 times higher for international tourists you need to bargain 3 times lower than the price these vendors requested. Also never purchase from one place only explore more shops to get an idea about rates. bargaining is very common in India so do not hesitate :)

    Whenever you are buying something never show the shopkeeper that you are desperate to have it. That’s why all of them settled for your price. Tell them a price much lower and make it hard for them to catch up with your price. That’s when you strike a good bargain. Anyways it’s a nice learning and experience for you both.

    You can also ask locals around there for the price. They can help you gauge the value.
    It should be 200 for the cap, t-shirt if it's good quality is around 400, bag should be around 300-500

    You mentioned that you are going to Delhi. DO NOT be as free and innocent as you are in Mumbai. Delhi is a cesspool of scammers and very unsafe. Make sure the areas you are going to are tourist friendly. The safety difference between Delhi and Mumbai is as stark as night and day.

    It's been 20 years for me in Mumbai and never did a thought crossed in my mind about visiting "Chor Bazar" and these guys land in Mumbai and end up in this shitty -abhorring place. What could be the motivation? When ever we have visited to foreign cities , we clearly kept away from the underbelly of those cities but these guys end up in all these places , like flies to the poop! But why ?

      Honestly it’s just the curiosity! We don’t have markets like that at home so it’s interesting to see. For your info we didn’t really enjoy the visit much, neither did we feel very safe. But it’s still something we will appreciate experiencing 😊 Also weirdly if you type in tourist attractions on Google, the Chor Bazaar comes up! Not sure why though…

      @@dunneytravels Don't worry buddy. I am the same. The key is to be ready to walk away. Show some interest and start walking then they will definitely try to make a deal. There is a high possibility you will get the same material in another shop. I had been ripped off many times. Long ago I bought 5 DVDs for 50 each while a foreigner paid $50 for 2 right after me. I felt so stupid in my own country lol

    I think next time you should try and talk to some locals at a restaurant where you'll are grabbing a bite and ask them for the baselines of the regular prices. Or best, take a local along!

Not to mention, you also picked all the wrongest places in Hyderabad to visit. Locals wouldn't even eat there. You should take the help of a local to guide you next time.
