Have you guys visited Marine drive yet? Start at Marine drive opposite to Trident hotel and walk all the way to Girgaum chowpatty. Good food stalls on the beach. Also, Bandra is another good area to explore. If you want to do an activity, zero latency in Lower Parel is good. Also, a good restaurant recommenadation is Burma Burma in the area you are staying in.
You guys rocked with the shopping! You both stuck to your budgets and haggled down the price. Well done! I recommend you guys take the open tourist bus to get a feel for the city and the sights. 😉 🇬🇧
FUN FACT- The real name of "Chor Bazaar " was actually "Shor Bazaar", shor means noise because of the metal workshops there. But the Brits couldn't pronounce shor so it became chor.😅
Some shopping tips would be: Give an initial price that is 80% off the shopkeeper's ask price then try to settle to 70% the price. Eg: if the shopkeeper says 1000, you counter with 200 (80% off), then 250 (75%) and final 300 (70%). If still he doesn't burge then act like you don't need it & start Leaving, they will call you back.
Tips - These street vendors know that international tourists can pay 3-4 times than actual cost as they don't know local rates. They will always charge 4 times higher for international tourists you need to bargain 3 times lower than the price these vendors requested. Also never purchase from one place only explore more shops to get an idea about rates. bargaining is very common in India so do not hesitate :)
Whenever you are buying something never show the shopkeeper that you are desperate to have it. That’s why all of them settled for your price. Tell them a price much lower and make it hard for them to catch up with your price. That’s when you strike a good bargain. Anyways it’s a nice learning and experience for you both.
You should visit fashion street in mumbai They did not give foreigner price because its bargaining for us to mumbai Phone case 150 Cap 150 But Its gets very expensive in tourist market and shop with glass door and ac.
I suggest you to make video about India because it will help you to make a large amount of views.....many foreigners (youtubers) made video about India and they are now famous...you can see many RUclipsrs around you.😊
You should take Miss Beth to a street barber hair trimming experience in Mumbai and also visit a salon giving oil head massage to her for a wonderful experience. It will be a relaxing experience for her.
16:48 Obviously You Guys Overpaid For Everything 😅, one trick I can suggest is if you want to something for one budget in your mind then you have to say 100 or 200 less than what you want to pay , then slowly raise the bar .
You could have gotten the phone cover for 100-200 they just triple and quadruple the price when they see non-indians..... Although you did great Happy travels 🥳😊
I don't think you over paid much, maybe a couple of hundreds at best. These are basically the prices middle class Indians pay. Really enjoy your vlogs. Your wife/gf is a gem.
you guys are a bit shy when it comes to price i guess, the initial prices that you quote are already very high that any shopkeeper would ready upon. but sad to see these shopkeepers keeps on asking high prices😔
You can also ask locals around there for the price. They can help you gauge the value. It should be 200 for the cap, t-shirt if it's good quality is around 400, bag should be around 300-500
@@dunneytravels The trick is whatever they are charging, just ask them half price or little less than half😅. If they don't agree just act to walking away from them 😂😂

It's been 20 years for me in Mumbai and never did a thought crossed in my mind about visiting "Chor Bazar" and these guys land in Mumbai and end up in this shitty -abhorring place. What could be the motivation? When ever we have visited to foreign cities , we clearly kept away from the underbelly of those cities but these guys end up in all these places , like flies to the poop! But why ?
Honestly it’s just the curiosity! We don’t have markets like that at home so it’s interesting to see. For your info we didn’t really enjoy the visit much, neither did we feel very safe. But it’s still something we will appreciate experiencing 😊 Also weirdly if you type in tourist attractions on Google, the Chor Bazaar comes up! Not sure why though…
