So I don't think ppl don't want you to see old Delhi. It's just about safety. I have lived in Mumbai my whole life. I was visiting Delhi for getting a Swedish visa and wanted to tour the place. My friends from Delhi adviced me against visiting old Delhi, esp during nights. I am an Indian and I already know the difference between old and new Delhi, still they adviced against it. Atleast not during night. There are certain areas which might pose some security threats, and I know the language as well, but still they adviced against it. Even in mumbai you have places like dobhi ghat and slum areas which tourist visits, but most of locals will advice against it. Because its still much more secure place. I know certain places in sundsval sweden as well where there are drug addicts roaming under the subway bridges. Just a side note Sweden is one of the most safest places on Earth, but still some swedish asked me to take a different route. So its not because it was embarrassing for them, but ut was just safer for me
24:47 i understand your frustration but i think its completely fair in my opinion. Actually, the 'indian price' is nearly non-existent or rather its just nominal. The main income comes from foreign tourists. You also have to understand that even if Indian Economy is larger than Britain's, the purchasing power parity and per capita income is world's apart. As for why the price discrimination isn't in Britain well, the same reason. Britain mostly have visitors from western countries and they have nearly similar per capita income so THAT would be real unfair. And as for britain's eastern visiters, well, Britain is already ten times expensive on its normal prices for anyone from the East or let's just say, India. So if they keep the price even higher then that would just be even more ridiculous. That's why there's no price changes in Britain. You will often find price discrimination in low per capita income countries, mostly in east asia as well as south asia. I think its completely fair tho because a foreigner already have an advantage in terms if income parity compared to a local so a difference in pricing is justifiable.
Guys, for your information, let me tell you, shops, even a tiny one in the old delhi Chandni Chowk area, are more expensive than any shopping mall shops. You can google the price of those shops in the chandni chowk area.
Also you can eat street food just avoid anything with water, ice and diary (yoghurt, milk) and you’ll be fine. Try out the different dishes in each state, dosa is mainly a south indian dish. Please try nirth Indian food in particular bhature chaney in delhi, you can get it in haldiram cafe/shop

Old delhi might not be aesthetically pleasant and loading workers might be financially poor but the owners of the smallest of the shops are millionaires (in usd term).
Most of the tourist destinations are in old Delhi . Old areas growd naturally whereas new areas were planned later ( similar to Europe). We need to redevelop older parts of the cities.
International students going to the UK have to pay 2 times the amount of fees to study. And we are talking about 10 to 20k pounds in extra than the local Students. So it's not fair in the UK as well.
University fees are completely different, even U.K. students have different fees depending on where in the U.K. you study. England can be 9k and Scotland can be free. An international student wouldn’t have to pay more for anything whilst they’re in England, everything else would be fair and equal between locals and internationals.
@@dunneytravels I mean that still doesn't justify the fact that the UK Universities are taking advantage of international students.
