I prefer having everyone around during cutscenes too, it just seems a lot livelier. I hope BioWare will consider doing this in future Dragon Age games.
Not likely since that would go against doing multiple playthroughs and could make your choice in companions you take on missions matter less. I mean it is fun having all your companions there, but unless it was an unshockable add on from a DLC (since EA), then maybe.
The game would become a cakewalk if we were able to take all the companions. A party of three mages is already op, imagine that and a small army of warriors.
