My MacBook only has ABR as an option.. Is it also good to use ??
Thanks, I've followed a couple of your tutorials for streaming and recording. The only thing I don't understand is why my maximum audio bitrate is capped at 160 kbps? I've set my bitrate to 320 but it won't change. Since I've checked ignore streaming service rec - will my stream get the higher audio quality I've selected? I plan to test here in a bit. Also do you have a RUclips preview of these streaming settings in action on RUclips so we can see how these settings turned out in terms of quality?
can anyone hlep me my upload speed is between 30-35 what should my bitrate be? Yea thats my internet speed for my house, and it sucks. thank you for who ever helps me.

Bro I love your videos man. Great obs and streaming advice. I’m just starting to stream on twitch and my youtube gaming channel but I’m still on an Intel Mac. Still a bit choppy. My download speed is about 970 and mine upload is 50. Still getting choppy streams and broadcast. Anything other than upgrading to the mini Mac m2?

Under “output” then advanced and “streaming” … where it says “rate control” my only option is “ABR” when you said to put it as something else
I believe u are using Intel based chip right ?
Well its a bad news for us intel based Mac doesnt provide CBR support under VT hardware Encoding

My macbook air is having trouble keeping focus on the whole video capture from my ps5 i've looked at a bunch of videos looking at possible issues that would cause this but none seem to solve the issue i have. At this point i think it has something to do with my computer's settings but I cant find anything that seems like it would be the solution. If you or anyone else seeing this has any insight or advice that would be very useful. Once again the issue is that my screen seems like its having issues focusing on the whole display as I do stuff on my ps5 which causes it to get blurry in every place that it isnt focused on.
Thank you for the tutorial! Just wondering, why do you use H264 instead of HEVC/H265, given that it should bring recorded file size down? Or is H264 better for performance?
1:11 My video encoder just reads "Software x264" there are no other options. May be due to the fact that my apple computer is from 2015.

Dear LAS! Thanks for this video, great content. Shall I use these same settings if I use a MacBook Pro (Apple M1 Pro 16GB) with an Apple Studio Display (27") as a second display? I am streaming Powerpoint presentations with webcam - onto RUclips, and my PowerPoint is projected on my second Display. Appreciate your help.

Hi, thanks for great video! One question, when selecting the rate control it doesn't give me the option for CBR. Only ABR and CRF, which I think are for only when using x264 encoder. Any idea why this could be or how to get CBR? I'm using a 2020 M1 mac mini and OBS Version 30. Thanks!

You probably need to update OBS
Edit: You have to connect the account that you will be streaming to then it will appear.
