I love that he tells the interviewer that he wont tell her the moral of the story because whats great about movies is that any single person can walk out of a film with their own opinions and their own meaning behind the story which is how movies should be. I always get bored seeing movies with bland moral crusades instead of it being ballsy and interesting to observe characters choices whether you agree with them or not.
I love Christian Bale. Perhaps I like his roles/accent/face/facial expressions/physical movement rather than him as a person. But I don't really know him, so I just say that I love him, as far as I know (him). :)
Exactly!! Thanks for posting ~ We think that there wasn't NEARLY as much media coverage a decade ago as there is today. I don;t know that we could find such footage. Maybe. Sure, somewhere. But nowadays with so many outlets needing content for their platforms, you'd have a better chance of finding it should he be out there doing interviews.
why are so many people hating on his wife?? i think she's beautiful, and so does he. clearly there are some problems when the comments on here are all about his wife. leave the woman alone, she did nothing to you.
wow he sounded offended when she asked "what's the moral of the story"...what a response! "The 'Moral of the Story'? God! You work that out for yourself! That's not for me to tell you. You go and see it. This is a movie which is meant to be a pure thril ride. You can say whatever moral you want from it but you do that yourself!" Yes, sir!
@RonAlmeida Just because you want it to be different doesn't mean it is. Just because something uses special effects doesn't make it any less quality than an artsy film. Just because something is popular, doesn't mean it is low quality, although I would agree with you that MOST of the time, that's the case.
Well I lOVE all her questions in each interview. Most reporters ask the same silly questions, this chick forces each actor to actually thing before they speak. Yea its a little weird, and "off" putting, but i love her questions. The actors dont seem to mind
Christian Bale is cool as hell!!! No one can beat him.. He, by far is the best fkng actor from that England/and America have ever produced before the masses.. Check out HARSH TIMES and THE MECHANIC
Thats because hes english corrie!!! Bale is one of the best actors from the UK but is made to put on a American accent all the time. Check out the prestige awesome movie with hugh jackman
@ltzmin Aha I think hes just really confident which can easily be seen as being cocky but most actors are just really confident and dont mean to sound cocky lol.
@SpikedYum i think it's the way he speaks... xD, the way he moves hes lips, the way he looks at the reporter... i don't know... looks so...cocky kinda like "i'm better than you". Or maybe it's just confidence. Lol
How to make it in hollywood? its really not about how good you are. its about who you know and timing. most hollywood actors made it by either being a family member of someone already well connected( Drew Barrymore, Jamie Lee Curtis). Some made it just by being very hot. Many of your Hollywood stars are former models. A very select few make it just by persistence and pure luck. So unless you are either well connected and/or good looking you probably stand a better chance to win the lottery
@@hollywoodtv He just finished his story about how he got cast for the role and then she asked "what's the moral of the story"... I think he thought she was asking an underhanded question. @RonAlmeida Now I think we're on the same page. I agree with you. I'm just tired of the people holding up their noses at all of the movies in theaters, claiming that those who go see something like Inception have no taste because it's popular, therefore it's bad. I don't think there's anything wrong with liking a popular movie, as long as you attempt to enjoy other, less well known movies, or even popular classics like The Godfather 1 and 2.
Course it is, he was born in the same small town as me haverfordwest. I'm Welsh so, so is he. I'm not english all of a sudden because I live in England. Regardless of what my parents are
@harpist16 Funny. The kind of feeling I got was that he's a very intelligent person who doesn't believe in people being told what to think of things, such as morality in a movie. And that to keep any sort of normalcy in his life, he spends time with the one he loves. He can be who he wants without caring what people think about him. And as far as reporters, i'm sure climbing over intimidation is something they deal with as part of their job anyway.
She's a ridiculously bad interviewer, bloody hell. I thought he appeared quite cool in this interview despite that however. I love how he implies with ''THIS sanity'' /wide eyes. That the interviewer is insane.
@Flukey006 i'm sorry how does he sound cocky? He's just saying that you should watch it for yourself. Plus it's probably in his contract to keep his mouth shut about the storyline. If anything Christian Bale is the last person on earth I would call cocky. He's pretty humble and quiet.
@LP640ROADSTERdk Maybe I was wrong. He meant it in the sense of being uncertain, which to me as of then was a new way of saying that. I was focused on the German word akin to it, which has a more narrow meaning though.
@ClassyDerreaux well heres something thats sort of relevant. The rule of the film industry is you cant be in a hollywood movie unless your an S.A.G member, and you cant be an S.A.G member until youve done a couple of films and stuff, but then you hear these so called "stories" like christian bale how he came into it accidentally or johnny depp auditions and gets the role without any experience, so is there like exceptions or what the fuck ?
this dude can say whatever he wants... look at what he did for the film "the machinist"
he deserves what he wins

Bale has a wife?! She is the luckiest girl on the planet!

this "wife" sucks, they are already divorced

Very nice. Now let's see Paul Allen's speaking about how to make it in Hollywood

HAHAHA hilarious 😂 I love his intense facial expressions
