Absolutely I do not trust NURSING HOMES!
Thank goodness for the alert and competent funeral home employee!
Come on folks. Do a better job. This nursing home 🤦♀️
She probably played dead to get out!
Nursing home employees can't prounounce people dead....so the question is, who pronounced this pt "dead"???
Excellent point.
????????
The hospital?
@@Cga-g7i they are not on scene.
She tried real hard to get out of that nursing home. Can’t blame her.
💯🎯
Wow, I didn't think about it like that. She may have.
This is how awful nursing homes treat their patients. They are so neglected and left to fester in such morbid conditions, its hard to tell the living patients from the dead ones.
😓
😭😔💔
VERY true but then how many family members really WANT to take care of their elderly these days not an AMERICAN tradition sad really
This coroner needs to be fired
No coroner were called as the nursing home had her picked up.Someone at the home was clearly not qualified to pronounce her gone .How horrible..74 isn't old anymore with people living much older with proper care...please do not send her back to that home...
that was a failure of the emergency room Doctor who declared her dead.
The M.E at the funeral home rendered aid to the woman and got her help. The nursing home is to blame for pronouncing her deceased before making VERY sure she actually is.
Not sure about that, I think the nursing home, should have transported to hospital, not mortuary. What did coroner do wrong, she's alive?
No, the nursing staff need to be taught how to check the carotid arteries on both sides of the person's neck before pronouncing them dead. Why would the coroner be fired?
I Wouldn't Allow That "Nurse" to Monitor Heart-Rates, After a 3-Legged-Race!🤦
Usually, it has to be a rn to pronounce I'm a lpn, and I will say there's lpn that will run circles around them
I I wonder how many people thought dead were cremated.
That is such a scary thought.
Or woke up in very dark, tight quarters 6 feet underground!!!!
@@MidwestMotor oooo hell nah, I'm sweating just thinking about being in that situation
@@Lollimantis LOL! I hear ya!
@@MidwestMotor In the USA, embalming would assure that the person was definitely deceased. In other countries where there is no embalming, that could happen.
That's called a DEAD RINGER. Back in the day, they put a string into the coffin hooked to a bell above the coffin just in case the person thought to be dead wasn't. DEAD RINGER.
Thank you for explaining part of Americana
Wow, had no idea.
And if they were too weak to ring the bell?
@pattianne 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@JAllanC12you just made the term more complicated than you needed it to be 😅
Back in the day they use to bury people will a bell attached to a string so if they were alive they could ring the bell. Apparently we still need that
They called it being Saved By The Bell! 🔔
Dead ringer
Can't survive embalming or cremation.
@@copper1539yes! I was about to comment that’s where that phrase originated.
74 ain't even that old😢 Hope she's getting the best care 🙏
🙏 ♥
Age is relative. Try telling a fresh college graduate 74 years aint that old. I use to think 2 score was old, till I started getting close to that.
She died, for real, after being taken to the hospital. She was in hospice care, and they can pronounce people dead. .
This happens more than the public knows.
it's happening more and more too. You would think doctors could tell when someone is actually dead after all that training? But no, the patient is nothing more than a $dollar amount. This is vile, unacceptable and all involved need jailed asap. Are they using AI lately to declare someone is dead? I can believe how many similar stories I have read recently. No excuse for causing the suffering, terror of a human being after they have gone through enough already before the fake death. Not many make it being found alive after declared dead. I can't imagine what these people go through, suffocating in body bags, frozen alive, thrown around- this is barbaric, evil and must be punished.
Absolutely
@@angeldaisy5248 😅 riiight
This absolutely does happen more than people realize. Most die unnoticed. 😢@@angeldaisy5248
@@angeldaisy5248you know a lot about nothing
IKR. That would scare the hell out of me, as the lady or as the undertaker!😳
😢 How horrible 😢
OMG! THAT IS TERRIFYING! POS nursing home!😡😡😡😡
WOW! What does this say about the medical services, nurses and doctors of today?
Does anyone else worry about how some of these people pass state tests?
Makes one want to think twice about cremation. I would sure hate to wake up in fire.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ who has saved you from your sins and you won’t go to a far worse place called hell.
Well if you don’t know Jesus upon death, you will most certainly wake up in fire anyways for all eternity. But there is a way out. Repent and give your heart to the Lord now while there is still time. (I’m directing this to anyone who needs to see this).
Agonal breathing… that is the bodies last attempts to breath.
When Agonal Breathing starts; the person needs to be inside a trauma bay or have emergency supplies near the body.
CPR until ambulance shows up only shifts the location of where the person dies.
Death shouldn’t be in a funeral home, but that poor woman was still dying when the nursing home called funeral home and when the funeral home called the ambulance.
Hearing and seeing a body agonal breathing would traumatize funeral home staff expecting a dead body.
Nursing home fault
Pure nightmare fuel
Wtf??
I hope they don't take her back there>> to that nursing home>>>take her home< 🙏
Wonder how many people have been embalmed when actually not dead. Creepy.
Do everything you can to take care of your parents rather than put them in a nursing home. Almost every home care worker I hired to watch my parents told me they had quit nursing homes because they were overworked and witnessed neglect. The stories! And even some home care workers neglected my parents--with a camera they knew was watching!
My worst nightmare 😳😳😳
Details of my death have been gravely exaggerated.
GRAVE - ly ?????
This happens way more often that it ever should. There is no way for the nursing home to justify their declaring the lady dead when clearly she was NOT!!! Happens 6 Months ago in Chicago.
Take the licence of who ever signed.
Now they’re trying to Put us in the ground alive
Miracle she wasn't embalmed
Ohmygoodness this is absurd. I sounds like something right out of a Monty Python movie. "I'm not dead yet! I'm getting better!" Someone needs their license revoked.
Why does this keep happening? One time I can accept, but multiple occasions? Unacceptable
Keep happening? How many other times have there been?
God Bless this lady and her family
"I thought I was dead, too, until I realized i was just in Nebraska."-Little Bill in "Unforgiven"...
The same can be said of parts of Louisiana 😊
Damn. Check me twice.
Her insurance had run out the day prior
Praise Jesus
Graves will open!
He is making all things " New" Can we " not " see it👀
Maybe someone who loves her prayed for her to raise from the dead? He has done it before! And will again 1Thessalonians 4:16-17
@@slowlifeschool When the Dead rises, they will be in Paradise Earth-Heaven.
The nursing homes need to do better.
Are u serious...
disgusting, much more than a nightmare
incompetance
Same exact thing happened to my brother.
Did he live after that? Your poor brother and your family 😢 Very traumatic.
@@AMcDub0708 Thanks. He lived for four months afterwards. It was all surreal.
incompetency of the staff
This is how having wakes before funerals started. Sometimes ppl seem dead when they are not. Its crazy to think about how many ppl were buried alive or cremated before then.
Scary! If she was agonal breathing she may have severe brain damage due to not receiving medical attention right away.
This is one of my biggest fears that poor lady imagine if they had buried or cremated her and she woke up the care home 🏠 needs closing down 😠😠
In tune funeral home. You did a good thing❤
Better switch Nursing Homes!😮😢😢
Clearly incompetent
Thank God she was still a life
Oh my God!! How can this happen? This is absolutely outrageous!! 😡
Don't you hate it when that happens?
“Yes he’s dead, dammit!….. you don’t make that mistake twice!” (Frazier Crane on Cheers, declaring a man deceased who collapsed at the bar)😂
Wow, now this is scary.
How about that coroner's call..horrible.
He needs a different job.
Maybe we need to start installing bells on graves?
Dead ringer or saved by the bell. Look it up.
Chill bumps, DAMN
Sometimes you can be pronounced dead, no breathing pulse etc, and the person's body just sorta switches back on... It's super rare but it happens. To me this sounds like one of those cases. I wouldn't jump to conclusions on this before hearing more information.
This is just plain scary stuff but it's not the first time as historically they have found dig marks on caskets when they didn't do embalming, search the history of that
This is so sad😢
That's freaking CRAZY
Title is misleading. Suggests multiple women.
I know a Nursing Home that's about to be sued.
That's one way to evict someone form a nursing home...
Why Americans place their elder sun nursing homes
When they all own homes and have jobs and families and kids
Because we dont have enough children and theres no one to care for the elders when they are bedridden or wandering and confused.
I am an only child. I could not take care of my children, do my duties as householder and also get up every night while mom was wandering around trying to go outside. I needed sleep and i wasnt getting any and there was no help.
Misplaced priorities
Now you know. We just don't have time.
I'm sure glad my parents, and grandparents managed to find the the time to care for me as an infant. If they wouldn't have been able to find the time I guess I would have just laid there like these elderly people do and passed away. I can't imagine how they got enough sleep with me screaming and crying all the time, wanting to be fed and what not, jeez !
No, we, Americans, as a culture don't take care of our elderly, and those of us with the means barely take care of our own children !
It has now gotten to the point where the ones that don't have the means to pay for childcare just let the kids raise themselves, and it definitely shows in their behavior ! Too selfish and entitled to take care of those who brought us here when they need to be cared for.
I'm not judging anyone, I'm no better than any other American.
But I can see our faults, glaring at us. I can't imagine that it will last much longer, or end very well at all.
Lots of times the kids are too far away. In the US everyone in a family don't all live in one town, village or all nearby.
Not all Americans place their parents in nursing homes .
What a fantastic nursing home smh
this is either stupidity, being nefarious or both...
*speechless* not cuz having nothing to say *but* having *TOO MUCH* to say...
*smh* 🤦🙄🤨
You need a new editor. That headline should read WOMAN not women....
DEI hire wrote the title.
I think society forgot how to spell? I've seen this with other news headlines as well....... 🤔
OMG can you imagine the lady that saw her breathing! You could die of fright!
#1 prodigal
is find her a different , better, nursing home. Wow, glad shes ok!
Wtf
Jesus is coming back soon.
The title says "WOMEN" meaning more than one. The video is about one patient..
Hey, I was just sleeping.
I’m Hoping That’s Not One Of My Family Members
Everyone who has had a family member die recently is going to have questions.
No they're not...this doesn't happen every other day.
That's crazy. Was someone so lazy that they assessed her wrong or is this just a random freak event that no one could've predicted?
In hospice situations the patient is never expected to leave alive. Vitals are typically very suppressed by the condition that led to them being on hospice.
Oh that's scary 😮
Don't kill me
Women = more than one. Woman = One woman.
Title says women. More than one woman was in this situation? Freaky.
DEI hire wrote the title.
*Woman
Ha Ha
@@wileecoyote5749 It's always fun to call out professionals whose whole job is to make sure everything is both spelled and puncuated correctly, fail at the simplest thing like this.
Oh so it was one woman. Do you all not know the difference between woman and women? You had me thinking there were multiple women pronounced dead but not dead. What an awful situation.
That’s f@cking scary
Praise God. Praying
Heard she was arrears on her nursing home bill.
Wow! Just wow!
She said "Hold up wait a minute, YALL THOUGHT I WAS FINISHED?!?"
Wow! That's crazy! How many women have they found like this??
Nursing assistant here....there are times in which it is difficult to find a pulse on an older person.
Also there are many people with terminal illnesses who decide to become a DNR. Which means do not resuscitate. That is decided between the patient, their medical power of attorney and their primary care doctor when the patient is in their right frame of mind. In this case, when a person stops breathing thats it. We do not perform cpr. The DNR document is always prominently displayed in the house on the refridgerator and maybe at least one other place.
A nurse is called in to verify and declare that the individual is dead. They take vitals and contact the family.
Please dont rush to judgment; they may have done everything right according to protocol and then this just happened.
That’s scary! Hopefully she’ll be taken care of!
Her condition was upgraded to ‘alive’.
"I'm not dead yet!"
Peace be still 💙
“women” is a plural word. “woman” refers to one singular woman.
Why would they perform CPR on her if she was still breathing???
And I'm willing to bet that the health insurance company is the reason they didn't do CPR when they thought she had stopped breathing and sent her to the funeral home ASAP...
it was agonal breathing
It was agonal breathing. You need to do CPR for agonal breathing.
My worst nightmare is this happening.
Isn't that why,
the mandatory 3 day waiting period
Before burials ,, something like that
Why a 74 years old in a nursing home?
Because she needed nursing care and couldn't care for herself?
There have been many cases of people being buried alive, When the caskets were dug up, they find the person tried to scratch their way out
Horror
