- I didn't drink and I never danced
I couldn't take no club romance
But this floozy had no shame
Libedo torpedo
I was -
too cool to calypso
too tough to tango
too wierd to watusi
too tough to tango
too cool to calypso
too tough to tango
too cool to calypso
too tough to tango
What she did was hard to believe
Libedo torpedo
But by morning I couldn't leave
Libedo torpedo
Picking her up was like falling down the stairs
With her on top of me I couldn't put on any airs
I was -
too cool to calypso
too tough to tango
too wierd to watusi
too tough to tango
too cool to calypso
too tough to tango
too cool to calypso
too tough to tango
At my heart she took careful aim
Libedo torpedo
And you know, that floozy had no shame
Libedo torpedo

Kopeland on Kazoo. I fall more in love with him by the second.
Amazing the guy played all the instruments.
Klark Kent is one of my all-time favorites. I love all his songs. I just wish he would record at least one more album. How 'bout it Stew?
10 years after you made that comment, apparently in the past few weeks its been speculated that Stewart Copeland is gonna bring the Klark Kent persona back! who knows...its apparently very possible!
hear, hear! oops, but now it's 'all about makin' those kool videos' and whatnot! besides, playin' drums is supposedly hard work!
It may not by Klark Kent, but the Gizmodrome album is pretty excellent IMO.
While making the Spyro soundtrack he played for the camera. NO ONE with two decades of experience with keyboard couldn't play such a simple thing. He just showed how much the program can make from so little.
It only Stewart talked the rest of the band into performing this back then.
Rundgren might have gotten some ideas here . . .
After listening to Klark Kent stuff, I start thinking that Stewart played all the instruments on "Any other day" as well
A Gazoo SOLO! THIS GUY REALLY IS TOO COOL!
One of my all time faves. Thanks Stewart 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
wow, the first and only time in my life i ever heard this song was in 1988, ive been searching for it ever since. bravo!!
it was WBAI in NJ
It’s pretty easy to see Stewart was the original sound of The Police. This is pre-Sting and Andy.
Yes, yes, yes.
Koolest Kook ever.
After a year pondering about it, I am beginning yeild to the notion that it actually could be.. KANT!
it's very good album...
No disrespect to Sting, but I am leaning towards Stewart's voice very much now that I am hearing this song. I had no idea he sang.
Great tune!
Great!
lol..bloody great...
thanks for posting! amazing =)
@sanger2005 Sting also sings in this songs, if you hear it you will hear sting´s texture voice like when the sung "on any other day"
Gave myself another year to think about it. Yeah. Maybe it Kould be Klark.. I meant Copeland. Or is it Kopeland?? :->
This has to be some of the earliest notable Ska Punk music ever, right?
Why isn’t the Klark Kent album on Spotify?
Libido torpedo!
kazoo solo+genius :D
@sanger2005, you mean you never heard Police songs like "Does Everyone Stare" or "On Any Other Day"?
shame this isnt on spotify
cool! he is the guy...music running throug his arteries...just do it by yourself!
Awesome(my standard comment).
@Elastikid he is klark kent
What program were you using? I always use Audacity.
You just overdid it.
Gubatus sent me
That KKK logo sure is daring.
Stewart copeland bbw anthem
I know!
Ahh (or Uhh).. those days ago, of knobs and switches, before Fairlight and ProTools.
Lol that is so funny as stu wrote his whole 2nd album on the fairlight !!
:-)
Why do I think of my utterly shite dancing skills when I listen to this song?
Did Copeland sing in Klark Kent, or is it someone else?
I notice you posted this comment 8 years ago, but if you're still curious, it was him himself. Everything was him, as far as I'm aware.
@Elastikid Yes,Copeland did it himself.
Finer, more evolved songwriter than Gordon Sumner.
And pure energy. Still going 😉
No need for posting. It is written on the back of Kollected Works and Music Madness From The Kinetic Kid.
What the fuck was Copeland thinking when putting that logo on this release?
that's 'too *whip*, to wahtusi', see?
Brano Police...riarrangiato....
Niente di nuovo.
Stewart è abituato a fossilizzarsi parecchio. Lo ha dimistrato anche dopo.
"k"azoo.
I like this song kooky and groovy. I’d rather listen to Copeland’s multi instrumental album than that crap Paul McCartney did around the same time (Temporary Secretary and Turning Up sound childish in comparison.
If you would like to actually collaborate with Stewart Copeland ( The Police ) click this link ruclips.net/video/_mx-PJTSfLs/видео.html and check out the new free to download app from Whole World Band !
wow it worked! I got the app and now Im best buds with Sting.
rofl
lol someone stupid may find that album cover offensive
how????
