They did, it took 3 weeks, this video was done on 5th july. i will pick up next week my watch as closed for holidays.... they in theory changed the whole movement. Still all this experience leaves a bitter flavour in your mouth. new watches should not have this problems, and least of all in house movements.
@@WatchInTime I completely agree. Out of interest which dial colour do you prefer? The grey or salmon. They both look good but I'm not sure which I'd chose. Initially I thought the grey but the more I see them the more I like the salmon.
@@allanreardon I choosed first the silver... it looked more stealth (see my first video) scratch on the movement appart (yes that also had a QC problem) it turned out to be very dull and in a practical sense difficult to read time too. The grey hands got lost on the grey dial. The Salmon is fun, easy to read. If i can advice, go for the Salmon
Mine is in for service for the 3 time now. Really hope they will fix the problems soon. They are working on the 400-3. And is coming out this year, and will be upgraded if you send it to Oris.
That's unfortunate, wow. I was looking forward to getting that in-house movement, but the feedback continues to be negative. At least they seem to be trying to be responsive, but I sure hope they sort it out for you.
I have owned 3 copies of the aquis caliber 400 about 2 years ago. They all suffered issues with the main rotor getting stuck. In the end I got a full refund because I was fed up. There was a lot of fuss about the jumping hand issues, which is not a reliability problem and has a simple workaround. However the caliber 400 is not mature yet. It’s not about specifications, it’s how it operates in real life. I used it daily and it failed. Sorry but that’s my personal experience.
thanks for your comment, i am receiving many - its a pity as Oris is a brand i like and the 400 caliber was a fresh new in-house movement yet, it has issues in many persons. I hope they solve this soon. its creating bad image to a good company. I have heard of problems even in the new kermit. its a pitty.
@@WatchInTime I am afraid you’re right. It’s nice to have a 10 year warranty but after spending 3k-4K for a nice Swiss made Watch, you don’t want any problem at all. My first copy had serial 006578, the second 005814 and last 011084. The watches were delivered to me November 2020 and March 2021. I think the rotors got stuck after washing my hands (COVID period), I shake my hands before using a towel and then the main rotor got stuck in the housing.
@@ulfj3170 it’s a shame that these problems still occur after three years. It’s also weird that not a single reviewer speaks about it, while it’s a serious problem. You also had problems with the rotor?
We do have but first option even if you can ask for money back or replacement, is repair. you need to insist to have it replaced though. tHat should be the logical solution but they did nto offer, i am now pretending that. I have not done the update n.3 on this - i went to pick it up last week after repair (they said replacement of movement) - they were stupid enoutgh to mount the hour and minutes hand disaligned! so now its back to Oris, i am askig it to be changed with a new factory watch
That sucks. You should have sent it in. You knew there was a problem with the watch before this happened so it's not 100% fair to make a complaint after refusing to return it.
i have done a couple of videos on this, if you want later watch them. I dont agree with your fair or not fair point. I am not a watch movement expert, i though something might be wrog but i was not sure, THEY were not sure. so if later it stops its neither fault really and has nothing to do with fairness. This watch has a 10 year warranty. If you follow whole story you will see i send it, they repair and comes back broken worst and then resend until they changes whole watch.
That is such a shame. Like you I ama fan of Oris and have several too. Hopefully they sort you out quickly and without fuss!

@@WatchInTime that was what I thought about the grey. So stealthy but it looked hard to read.
