The game is a lot of fun and can drive the long while away.
This game would be a new variant of Connect Four / Connect 4. Here the game pieces are thrown. The original game has a row more. Due to the missing row, the game pieces become a little bigger;)

Unfortunately there is a slight noise, which I removed with a noise filter with After Effects. I hope the result is not that bad.
Rendertime: 57 hours (calculated by 1 PC)
(3 PC (REDSHIFT + 1 Quadro 8000 RTX, 2 TITAN RTX
and 2 Titan Xp)). You have to divide the time by 3 (3 PC and every PC works separatly).

In the future I will learn more Blender and Houdini FX. Blender is very cool and free.

This is a cool idea bit I think this is amazing rendertime and calculation time for the hairs. But I think one of the pieces with hair and the others normal. I think it could work. Thank you for the tip :)

Oookay, now I’ve gotta go with the other commenters and voice my absolute need of a game like this IRL. Softbody Connect 4. Not only playable in the traditional way, but also makes for a fun time of observing and toying with the transparent, smooth and squishable opposite colored pieces. I especially like that the colors are so contrasting and you picked such a vivid yellow and calming blue.
A real life version of this game probably wouldn’t have music but I’m enjoying the music in this video as well.
Now, it would be a dilemma whether to make the pieces edible or not. Package should probably read “Not recommended for hungry players”? Or you could make them edible on purpose and then sell refills or separate pieces later on lol.

Beautiful.. I really like these, but one thing i hope comes in the future is that there will be more where the softbody models are squished by the metal piece, or block on top. It gives me a refreshing vibe to see it. I don't really know why heheh.
