I fish that bridge every weekend. Me and everyone eles who fishes there uses jumbo shell on shrimp. I got a 20 pounder and two 15 pounders last weekend.

Hey Captain. Here’s a tip in the bait department you may or may not know about… FRIED chicken skin next to some uncooked chicken is fantastic channel cat bait. I’ve even caught bass on it. Strippers and large mouth off the bottom using it.

I have watched you for years now. I have learned so much from your videos. If you're ever in Pennsylvania near Erie, there's a lake called pymatuning. It's got some flathead. But this year along I have caught about 4 channel catfish over 10 pounds. It would be great to see you around my area.

The bridge at Sandusky Bay is a huge channel cat location. Where the old bridge and current bridge are. I personally use Cherry Kool aid hot dogs with garlic. It's like Chocolate cake to a fat kid.

I made my own dragging sinkers out of 3/8 tubing/metal rod/wooden dowel and small screw in circle eyelets, 2 4oz and 2 5oz, gunna give it a try tommaroe

Thanks Justin great video. I read that Daniel was using different bait, but what else was he doing differently? Was he shallow? Did he find a particular structure? Was he just lucky to get 5 33 to 34 inch fish.?

Enjoyed your (tournament) video, as always. I was surprised you used such small chunks of chicken for bait. On your videos when you're using cut bait back home, you use some really big skip jack heads and body chunks and catch bigger fish. Also, the one shot you showed of your shrimp you were using, the shrimp was small and too clean. Was it raw? Thanks again for the video.
I often use bigger baits at home because I’m going after huge blues and flatheads. The bigger channel cats on Sandusky are only 15-20lbs with an occasional fish bigger than that. The shrimp was raw frozen shrimp from Walmart
Being in Ohio I use chicken eve for flats the few places we have them …. Minced garlic the pre done stuff in ur chicken nite or two before is the go too

I've lived up by Sandusky bay my whole life. Used chicken breast and caught my PB, my wife's, my brother's and my brother in law. If I could figure out how to upload a picture I would. 36, 35x2, 34 and 31 inches

Everybody had channel cats on their scores. No flatheads were caught in the tournament

Great videos! How you liking the xi3? I have a PA14 and am pretty close to pulling the trigger on one.
I like the motor although it is challenging to use it on this particular kayak. In rough water you take a lot of waves over the bow which causes you to end up with water inside the hull. Spot lock is an awesome feature though.
@@KayakCatfish is it the weight on the bow or the thrust of the prop? Is it a combination of the two? My concern is the additional weight of the motor and battery. Thanks for responding by the way 👍
