Back in the 60s, 70s and 80s, Church’s Chicken was a staple of the Black church, community and funerals. Hell, when a relative died, everyone brought Church’s Chicken over to the house and it was good💯.
I lived in Houston back then and Church's was working class neighborhood chicken. The "hood" chicken chain was Frenchy's. Interesting to hear how people in different cities see the chain.

I'm 68 yrs old. Back in the day, my dad bought Churches Chicken every Friday for years. My whole family hated Churches. Tried it again about 8 months ago. They really good again. Way to go Churches!!!!

@logicsir5257 The buildings were a lot smaller. Obviously the prices were much lower, but the chicken was better. It's not that much different now, but I can tell the difference. The original owners ran into financial problems and went into bankruptcy. Eventually, a group from Texas bought them and rebranded it a little. All in all, it's still a better option than Popeyes

This Church's looks really new and clean. The cleanest Church's I've ever been to so far ever was this past September. I visited Orlando, Florida and their Church's Chicken was pretty new and very clean inside.
