Great video Coconut Joe thank you for sharing! Our story is similar to yours about a year and half ago when we started researching the different towns in DR ultimately it came down to Las Terenas and Dominicus. Dominicus won primarily for two reasons its proximity to Punta Cana airport and we were told that Bayahibe and Dominicus is on the Caribbean ocean and this side of DR does not get sargassum seaweed all year long. They are currently building our condo in Dominicus …. Can’t wait to be neighbors soon lol 🌴
I chose Bayahibe for myself but if I was only choosing on access to the beach I would choose Las Terrenas all day long! Thanks for your comment and for watching!
You have a very valid point with all the wind surfers. With those 3 cities up there it’s hard separate them but I would redo my list to: Puerto Plata, Cabarete, Las Terrenas, Bayahibe, and PC. Thanks for your comment! Be blessed!
Hi Jo, great video and great advice. Thank you. I have a question, Im coming to Bayahibe and would like to take a boat to Saona, do I need to book in advance or can I just walk down to the bus depot and pay on the spot?? Thanks Jo, God bless
@@coconutjo9780 thank you Jo. We'll be there in August. Just planning ahead. I'll probably reach out if you meet up with your subscribers. My wife and I would like to invest in Bayahibe for retirement! Thank you Jo
Enjoy your videos! Question. Which bank would you recommend? When i was in Dominicus last year i couldn't open the bank account. Should i go to the bigger city? Thank you!
Thanks for your comment!! You can open up an account right there in Bayahibe, you just have to supply the proper documents. In and out within 30 minutes once they call your number. Best wishes!!
Note: Cabarete should probably be on the list also! 👍 Maybe instead of Sosua.
Here tuned in from Barbados 🇧🇧

You missed Cabarete, the watersports capital of the Caribbean.
