Uniquenameosaurus dont worry, lots of theories get debunked but they are still valuable in my opinion. you put a good amount of thought into this and i applaud you for that. it shows how much you care about the show :) and im kinda glad it turned out to be what it was or else....things would have gone bad very fast. and i would have cried.
evan butler I’d rather remember her valiant sacrifice than have her effort be cheapened and have her back. I personally can’t STAND when “death” has no meaning whatsoever! It’s why I hate a lot of comic characters (jean grey and Superman come to mind).
Well, now we know what Jaune’s semblance is, or at least one aspect of it. *****SPOILER***** The way that Jaune’s aura wraps around Weiss looks very similar indeed to how Pyrrha’s aura wrapped around metal. What she could do with metal, he can do with people, to either heal or inflict harm. If RT really run with this, Jaune’s semblance could be one of the most powerful we’ve seen yet.
hey man sorry count get to talk whit you any other way and sorry for the gramer im still learning eng. I just wanted to thanke you for the analyses video giveing me a chance to apriciet one pice and reading that lewd comic anway sinc i cant watche your videos becous of net nutrality being destroyed and i dount have the money for that this will be mz last comennt on your vid i know i care about this so i just want to say THANK YOU FOR BEING AWESOME FUNNY AND SMART IN ALL YOUR VIDS.But moste of all thank you for inspireing me to be a creater an artist and just know that people like you make people like me feel a loot better in this strange and crule worled
Additionally, Pyrrha's semblance is black when in use, while Jaune's aura / semblance was white, which also plays well into this idea. Definitely something to be looking out for then :D
His aura is ALWAYS white though, so the comparison doesn't work for your purposes. If his aura were only white when his semblance activates, then there'd be a solid basis, but as it stands that's not the case.
You're pretty in depth and clever, but we have yet to see two semblances that are identical save for hereditary. To twist this, maybe it's an alternate form of polarity, one not focused on magnets. Maybe Jaune has the ability to attract or repel items (or people/aura). This keeps the polarity theme, but makes it more unique and fit for Jaune, who was less technique and technical than Pyrrha but more emotional and empathetic. Ie, drawing people in instead of metal.
Nathan Deaton honestly that does make sense. Jaune was shown to basically deflect a punch, and the way his aura healed the cut on his cheek would point to maybe his semblance being able to repel and even undo harm that comes to himself.
I think his actual semblance is healing as we saw it in the first volume when pyrra unlocks his aura yet even though she mentions that he has a lot of it we have yet to see some else healing from their aura
Unsung Ironclad dude there’s a girl who can literally break herself into thousands of rose petals to increase her own speed and then reform using magic and another girl who can create sentient ice out of nothing that is self-locomotive, and this is what you have a problem with? Not the shadow clones but the hologram weapons
Paladinman41 yes pretty much, not much of a problem just much of a confusing way to fight and I'm sure not many people know how to fight using holographic weapons.
here is my theory, pyrra's is shown to make objects attract which is only one half of polarity, could jaune's be the the half the equal but opposite ability to make objects repel each other
Not necessarily, since the swords's cables wrapped around Penny, they could've been attracted to her, because since Phyraa didn't know Penny was made of metal and she was lashing out wildly due to being fucked with by Emerald, she magnetized Penny so that her swords were pulled to her. That's an reasonable explanation of why they were so focused on getting Phyrra vs Penny to be a thing is that they knew what would happen if they got her to swing her power of polarity wildly
Did she? Go back and watch the fight, but when she activates her power, keep an eye on her sword, its always in the direction of the redirection, which is why I'm thinking shes magnetizing her sword and making it pull his leg to towards it.
Darth Faraam Really shouldn't have liked this but when I read it, I couldn't help but bust out laughing. My roomate thought I was having a mental breakdown...
Jaune's semblence is either healing as he healed his own injury after Cardin punched him. Or it's Thorns. Basically when you damage him he damages you back. Such as when Cardin punches him there is a bright flash of light and Cardin's hand is hurt. It would make sense. The symbol on his shield kind of resembles a mirror that is reflecting something and the fact that he has a large aura would benefit him in that regard.
FilmAcolyteReturns If it's thorns then his power is similar to Yang's think about it... Whenever Yang gets hit she uses that power against her opponents... Jaune would be doing the same thing but just in a different way... You see Yang would use her semblance to attack people twice as hard, but Jaune would just use that same amount that was given to him and give it right back to his opponent... Unlike Yang Jaune's power might be more unique than you might think. Someone in this comment section described his battle shield as having a mirror like design on it... What if Jaune's semblance is literally a mirror attack...
If it functions the way I think it does he could be extremely formidable especially against someone like Adam Taurus. He could literally reflect any insane attacj back at him. Coupled with the fact that he uses a shield and wears armor he presents himself as being a very defending fighter. His one on one battles are likely to be very long. Which for a strategist works in his favor.
Maybe the mirror represents the fact that his power is a mirror image of Pyrrah's? It would still fit in with the mirror theme and wouldn't interfere with roosterteeth cannon.
Well... watched the latest episode... Well, on the bright side... Just because the theory ends up not being canon doesn’t mean it wasn’t beautiful. This is still by far the most poetic way to describe their semblance. Of course, Jaune being a paladin/healer is awesome, but nothing can convince me Pyrrha wasn’t attracted to him like a magnet... or iron filings since she’s just ashes now.
can we highlight how the lyrics in every song and intro in this show refers to a certain moments and when we happen to realize that it's so fucking obvious. like with volume 2 intro: it says "it's time to say goodbye to the things we love" and then you remember jaune and pyrha.... with boop: it says boop means i love you, so everytime nora says boop to ren it means i love you..... with dream come true: it's pretty self explanatory but..... "YOU ARE THE MAGNET I AM THE STEEL" and the volume 5 intro says and i quote: 0:33 see it for you self...... do you see it? everything is hidden in the songs..... watch out for the songs....
Guys, guys, guys... It was so simple! Healing!! Jaune is going to save the Ice Queen, just you wait. :) Evidence: Season 1 - Episode 6 - The Emerald Forest - 5:54 Pyrrha ignites Jaune's aura and then he get's healed. Aura is for defence, not healing.
As of Volume 5 Episode 13, Jaune's semblance has been confirmed to be an amplification of Aura's effects; on both himself and others. He can amplify healing, recharge other people's aura, and enhance his natural shield into full on reflecting of attacks (like when Cardin punched him.)
All I can say for Salem and company is that they should be praying he doesn't end up with Magneto level magnet powers. Though I will admit the idea of him dropping a giant ass bridge on them would be hilarious. Come to think of it, starting a fight with an entire species of humans with randomly generated super powers seems like a stupid idea from square one. Sure, they've been lucky so far and no one has a super broken power on the human side of things for the sake of the narrative, but hell, given the range of effects and non reliance on logic or science semblances have shown, there's no reason to assume a freakin Medaka Box level Bullshit OP Abnormal couldn't pop into existence at any given second. All it would take is one All Fiction, and poof, no more Salem. I wouldn't be NEARLY so chill with getting maiden (Avatar style element bending) powers when any given schmuck with his aura awakened could suddenly realize "Oh hey, I can manipulate causality, 2 + 2 now equals fish, and the grim shall be replaced with bowls of popcorn. Huzzah!" On what grounds is she so freakin smug? I'd be a nervous wreck.
What if she has a Semblance (assuming she even has a soul) that allows her to negate all other Semblances for 24 hours within a Light Year's radius of her... But can only do so when nobody's looking.
Demon Emperor Void Swag Thank you for saying this. While you're most likely correct on the fact it's most likely for plot purposes, it really should be possible for at least a few individuals to have an absurdly OP semblance, or one on a higher level of power. To what scale? Beats me. But it helps that they said that it can be improved upon with time and effort, like how Glynda's TK semblance had me believe it was actual magic at the beginning of the series (I didn't see where she kept her dust if she was using any), or when she was using an advanced level of TK to where she could manipulate molecules to almost CASUALLY fix all surrounding damage to an area.
Or something passive like a rallying influence. He is often pointed at as a "natural leader" in the series and while the storyline of Grimm Eclipse isn't necessarily canon, the abilities have been accurate to the main storyline. Notice aside from his normal moveset which are hilariously plain looking but relatively effective attacks there is also his rally damage buff as his ultimate which creates an aura (haha totally on purpose the first time I thought it out) which gives allies a damage buff (much like coordination would chain together more effective attacks) and deals slight knockback damage to all enemies in the area of effect (also like what happened to Cardin in season one when Jaune got punched) Just my two cents though, I could be horribly wrong
This makes a lot of sense. It seems like everyone just sorta gets their asses handed to them when Jaune isn't around but suddenly gains a massive buff when he's there.
Azereiah Also tbh I live playing him in RWBY:GE because all his charged aoe moves are op lol and given a large group of Grimm you can just keep spamming and get his ult in like 2 or 3 hits
That's brilliant. There's more than one type of magnetism. Pyrrha attracted objects, but Jaune, plain, unassuming Jaune, has the ability to attract PEOPLE. He can rally them at their weakest, make them believe against all odds. Which, frankly, explains Ren and Nora being around for Team RNJR. I get Ruby needs a team, but can you imagine those two ever at her side if Jaune wasn't there?
So...what?Pyyrrah has attraction and Juane Repels?I mean we see in when Cardin guy tries to punch him. The contact bounces off. Like repel.Pyrrah always used the attraction part of her Semblance, forcing weapons or metal to stick to wall or to her hands.So...Juane's Semblance is a Passive ability to Repel things to a degree?
It's not "repelling" or "attracting" specifically. Usually, whenever Pyrrha used her semblance, she only adjusted the movements the metal she was controlling. Her fight with Mercury, for example. Even he stated, "Once she made contact with my boots she was able to move them around however she wanted. But she only made slight adjustments." Or how she'd use it to pull her sword and shield back to her whenever they left her hands. Nothing stuck to her hands. The only large uses of her Semblance that we've seen were when she sent all of those soda cans flying in the food fight of Vol 2, and when she flung the gears and desk in her fight with Cinder. Her Semblance was Polarity -or Magnetism, in other words- Which basically covers both ends of attraction and repulsion. So if this theory is to be believed and Juane has the same Semblance as her, then it'd be safe to say he could do the same. Sorry if this was long. I just wanted to clear stuff up for you 'cause I'm a big fan of the show... and probably care about it a bit too much. XD I meant no ill will, just wanted to try to explain what I think and see if that helped you to understand. If you care that is. IDK. Peace!
+Many Fry Well, I suppose it could still work if we knew HOW she did it (mentally speaking), for example; It's possible that she only had the power to pull things (or at least they were focused on pulling things), but for this to work she'd have to also control where they'd pull to, allowing her to move things around by shifting where the pull was leading to. If this theory (well, theories, as this explanation is technically a theory explaining away another theory) was true, then Jaune would have the power to push things, but would also be able to control which direction they'd be pushed in. Their Semblances would both have the same *conclusion* (polarity), but only by clever manipulation of their one aspect of said conclusion, they'd be 2 halves of the same whole. I like this theory, but I'm not willing to bet on it or anything... At least not yet.
I get where you're coming from and it's a really neat idea, but the big flaw I see with it is that Semblences are supposed to be unique. The only repeat Semblence we've seen is the Schnee family one and that was pretty clearly explained to be a special circumstance. As much as I think its a cool idea and I feel they really did have a bond, I don't think it was special enough to repeat a Semblence. Of course I don't have a better theory because like you said, the S1 stuff was almost certainly all aura and I can't think of anything else he's done except shockwave training, which seems to be a learned skill anyway. Course a Semblence can be anything. I mean if Qrow is Unlucky then maybe Jaune is Clumsy. ...Nah thats dumb they wouldnt do that to us. ...Right?
While semblance’s are unique, we do have cases of Semblences that perform similar functions. Blake’s shadow clones, Sun’s Aura copies, and Flynt’s killer quartet. All three are technically clone based but have differences that make them stand out.
Maybe instead of Polarity he could have something similar. Like instead of being able to outright control the metal he can cause it to be attracted or repealed to a given point/other metal object, like his sword or shield for example.
Fabius Maximus I think it’s like how people are like “Everyone’s unique and special in their own way,” people are still similar in ways. Like two people might like the same thing. But it’s still a little different, always. Like the clones semblances. Their similar, but not the exact same. And I think that’s what they meant in the video, maybe not the exact same. But still Polarity.
Not last rtx but the previous one someone was walking around with a sign that said looking for Ash with a circle and slash over a picture of ash ketchum, and a just a circle of a picture of a pile of ash from like a fire pit.
Have you seen the resent film theory video and the resent Rick and Morty episode. His theory was 100% correct. This video just talks about symbolism, the film and game theorist uses actual facts to create his theories.
And he uses too MANY facts. he forgets that not everything pertains to real world science. He forgets that these worlds have their OWN ways of working.
YeeaaaaaaaIdon't know. Honestly, this seems a bit of a stretch to me. They explicitly said that all semblances are different (with the one exception of the Weiss family). The only things we know for certain are: 1) We already saw it 2) In the DVD commmentary when Cardin punches him, it says that it's a hint to his semblance. It could be a forcefield, super healing, light, kinetic energy absorption, gravity, invulnerability... there's a lot of options. He could even be mega-manning and he just copied Phyrra's ability unconsciously.
Shendue You know what, I'd be down as fuck for Jaune to have a Kirby/Alpha Stigma-esque Copycat Semblance, where he can replicate any semblance he's seen
Could be that since Phyrra is one aspect of a magnet, the pull things towards her, Jaune could be the opposite and push things away, thus having repelled Cardin's punch?
this is he first video I've seen of tours and I gotta say, I liked it! short sweet and to the point, but what really got me was that line at the end. PRICELESS!!
I always thought it was an enhanced shield type of semblance. Like it activates and not only does it protect Jaune but it heals him as well. See that Jaune was looking pretty banged up after Cardin and crew beating him up, but during the final hit when he glowed white he was patched up after getting punched. I don't remember if aura has ever been shown to behave like that. Yes at the beginning of the series Jaune's cut healed super fast, but then why didn't his bruises heal while Cardin was thrashing him after every hit, why only the last?
NeoUzzy yes I know like Nathan said I literally said that right after I asked if his aura behaved like that before, then I brought up the counterpoint why didn't his aura heal him while getting beat by Cardin.
NeoUzzy inexperience probably. "Unlike many, our semblance is hereditary. However, that doesn't mean it will come easy. Your semblance is like a muscle. The more you work with it, the stronger it becomes..." (paraphrased) -Winter All in all though we have seen aura being able to heal or at least to try and heal. Take Yang for example. When her arm got cut off, her aura gathered to stop the bleeding and try to heal the wound but failed in doing so because of the sheer size of it.
This is a fantastic summary of points and facts to support a theory in an excellently crafted video, and I happen to love this theory so you have done more than enough to earn yourself a sub
Wait. Going off your last sentence alone here. We mostly saw Pyrrha summon things with her Semblance, and only got a handful of instances where she used it to throw things. Taking the magnetics thing a bit further, what if Pyrrha was Attraction and Jaune is Repulsion?
KevSB07 I think what they meant is that Pyrrha draws metal to her: like when she draws her sword and shield in her direction whenever she drops it. However, I don't think that this holds up. What about her fight with Penny? That most certainly wasn't attraction. Still, a cool thought. It certainly explains the shielding of Cardin's punch.
The video never mentioned how she used her semblance. To be honest she underused it greatly. (Think of what Winter said about semblances in Volume 3) So we don't know the full extent of her semblance, as it was likely a lot more powerful than what we saw at the end of Volume 3. Either way, she has used polarity to do more than move Miló and Akoúo̱ towards her. In the food fight in Volume 2, she created a tsunami of soda cans moving away from her. in her spar with Mercury, she moved his boot away from her face.
Honestly it would be genius if they do go through with this because symbolically and all that it would just fit also love the little nod at matpat but it's also highly possible that his semblance is a barrier like when Jaune was about to be punched but there was a bright flash which no one else flashes when they get hit at least not that bright so it's highly possible his semblance is a barrier or some kind of Shield
i think it going to be fire or light . he's based off someone who burned to death and than their cinder. or it's light for the light of god he is based off someone who was a saint after all.
alejandrothefader well it could maybe acts like an holy light, being able to do such things as healing like in RPG priests. And if he masters it , maybe the ability to resurrect people HOPPPPPPEEE
Kinda the same on Pyrrha, but only if she died with a corpse staying there. Here she disappeared in light particles. At the start I thought she would be coming in a very fast way, like Ozpin (I was even expecting more her return than Ozpin since I wasn't believing Ozpin could die to Cinder) did. And like you, I'm still thinking she may come back in the exact same way Ozpin did, except that it would be due to the link she got with Jaune in season 1. And for Jaune, I'm not seeing anything else than a healing light. On himself only or on others too like it happend in season 2 when he instantly healed himself. And the color of the light was fitting his aura's color ( I think ) so yeah.
By the way, I'm not understanding at all what are the Maidens powers. Cinder used fire and ICE against Ozpin while Vernal was using lightning, it's like wtf is this metling pot of elemental abilites : JUST GIVE THEM the elements of their seasons like in avatar. I wouldn't mind that the maidens could use the side elements (so water and fire for Vernal, with earth/plants in major part for example). Also, with Ozpin, I heard from him in the episodes that he was reviving and reviving ever and ever because gods cursed him since he didn't defeat Salem. Was it implied he was the elemental giving wizard ? And i'm still thinking, since the conscious of the host remains, did the ancient host was completely ok to let him control his body, and dies for this cause at the end ? I mean in Rwby we're able to see the serie on a new angle when they reveal something. Like you can heard the semblance of Pyrrha during the fight against the Deathstalker. The polarity is already apparent she just makes slight adjustements (she gets her shield and her lance back and you heard the polarity semblance at this moment). But here I never see any clue about this aspect of Ozpin, none. The body was like 100% of the time controlled by him. Finally, Pyrrha's death wasn't that light, it hurted my feels ::::::::::::(((((((((((((((((. And Ruby feels too so she petrified the Dragon Grimm. I KNOW EVERY death of Ruby's friends could have done that but still :(
Wow Now that I'm looking at the episode when she fights against Team CRDL I'm seeing how she's using it subtly. In general you can heard the sound when she uses it : before the fight to take her weapon, taking back her spear after it bounced against a blade, getting back her shield after tossing it to Russel and also when she uses her shield to jump while in the air. There is no sound for this sound but she couldn't use it like that without making it a non moving surface. This is so crazy when you analyze the fights she leads ( I know this was after the reveal of her semblance but it's just awesome that we can see it in her fighting style even before Mercury implies it (he understood it fast :O ). I'm wondering if Captain America has the same semblance. I mean his shield always come back. Pyrrha fighting style I swear.
I didn't say there wasn't any clue, but just that it wasn't clearly implied. But now than I'm looking the episode 7 he is clearly saying it. Maybe you saw it while I didn't. BTW it doesn't solve the problem of the maidens powers I pointed out before. Except if there is no link between the season and the power the maiden gets from it. Same probelm with the white haired Ozpin ( the host wasn't controlling it at any time )
This actually makes sense with those "first hints of a semblance" comments, because those hints were a white blast and Cardin's *armored* arm failing to impact Jaune's face. If Jaune's semblance is the reverse magnetic version of Pyrrha's (which was a black aura), it makes sense it would be a white aura. The only thing is that Pyrrha had to touch something to affect it, and as far as I know Jaune didn't touch Cardin's arm.
This was awesome. And I would love to see it be true. My RWBY watching friends have compared me to Pyrrha from the very beginning and I was kind of crushed to see her die. Because of her relationship with Jaune, I have seriously latched onto him in her absence and I really want to see this theme be a part of the canon.
Not healing, but aura transfer. This explains why they said we'd already seen it, because when cardin hit jaune, jaune was actually taking aura from cardin to amplify his own. This works vice versa with adding to weiss's aura, and since aura has healing properties naturally it heals her too.
No it's not aura healing. By giving his own aura, he basically uber-charges people's aura which as a side effect of how aura works doubles as healing. He might be able to take aura away but we don't know enough yet.
I love this theory...but, that being said, I personally think his semblance is something to do with shockwaves, kinda...like when he's training in the middle of the night in V4C2: Remembrance, it seems like his sword swings produce a blade of air. When the Grimm enter the city in V2C12: Breach, he goes up against the Ursa, swinging his sword rapidly before it dies - perhaps these wind blades (shockwaves?) are what killed the Ursa instead of actually hitting it with his blade. His strikes seem to have an echo to them, and it's debatable as to whether or not his blade actually touches the Grimm, though that could just be from the varying perspective on that face off. It could also possibly manifest as a flash of light, reflecting damage back (such as when Cardin hit him in V1C14: Forever Fall Pt2). That's just my thoughts at least, hopefully they'll confirm what exactly it is sometime this season.
Good job showing the comment from RT's Kerry, 'cause I was just going to point out how Oz flat-out stated "Mr. Arc hasn't discovered his semblance yet." It is a beautiful way to look at him & Pyrrha, but I think his semblance may be more like aura manipulation. The ability to boost his aura to a shield & someday do that for his whole team. I don't think they'd give him that power in the Grimm Eclipse game unless it alluded to what we'll see in the show someday.
I love this theory and it would be awesome if it's true I don't think it is, if I remember correctly (and I may be wrong entirely) no one can have the kind of semblance except for Wiess's family cause genetics or whatever. like I said I love the theory but I don't think it's going to happen but hay maybe it will
Or maybe his semblance copies other peoples semblance. It would explain Tyrian's interest in him. A Semblance like that would be incredibly powerful and worth anyone's interest.
i think that'd be a bit broken though. that gives him litterally everybody's semblance, no matter how powerful they are. Yang's super saiyan mode, Weiss' glyphs, Ruby's speed, Pyrhha's magnetism, Ren's emotion masking, Qrow's bad luck, the list goes on.
I considered that for some time too because the white glow Jaune had reminded me of the time Pyrrha looked at her hands during the fight with Penny. Another thing I considered is that Jaune has something like a "Super Shield" which enables him to take a lot more damage without really getting harmed. Aside from that I think his semblance will kick in similar to Ren's during intense stress which may point more toward the shield thing.
But uh... how? Because the exposition dump videos specifically said that each semblance is unique and that you get it at birth, it’s just latent until you unlock it. not to say that Miles and Kerry wouldn’t still do it
Think about it like this: Pyrrha's Polarity was about attraction, as in, sticking metal stuff to other things. Jaune's Polarity might be the exact opposite: repellent, as in, say, repelling the punch from a dude wearing *metal* armor?
The way I see it if he does also have Polarity. Then the fact they were opposites in terms of personality would make them both having this make sense. Because they could be viewed as to ends of a magnet type situation.
C-X 3 YES! Exactly. Pyrrha is shown not just attracting, but also repeling or all around just freely moving metal (Example: Penny's swords, the cans in the food fight, Mercury's boots, Jaune's shield, etc).
Are we all forgetting about when Pyrrha literally pushed Jaune into a pillar? The whole "Pyrrha could attract and Jaune could repel" doesnt make much sense since she clearly used her Polarity to push him away.
Jaune wasn't using his semblance (assuming it's polarity) at that time, and it isn't passive like Qrow's. Also, the video doesn't suggest that Pyrrha attracts and Jaune repels. The video suggests that they both possess both abilities. Also, in that scene, Pyrrha uses polarity to move Jaune's chestplate, and it glows black as a result. She can control any metal object, regardless of whether it is magnetic or not.
So an interesting theory to be sure but my only issue with it is the whole premise that Jaune loves Pyrrha, at least in the romantic way it's implied here. Pyrrha no doubt loved Jaune or at least was crushing on him heavily but Jaune never showed Pyrrha any romantic interest. Now before I get massively flamed for implying that Arkos was never a thing just hear me out. Jaune is a character who has no problem demonstrating his romantic interest in another person even if it involves humiliating public rejection as seen with Weiss throughout the first two seasons. If Jaune actually thought of Pyrrha that way then why not show it in some way? Also pointing out the scene in volume 3 where he talks to Pyrrha about destiny does not irrefutably show romantic interest, that could very easily be explained by Jaune being a good partner/friend. Pyrrha no doubt took it romantically and it could maybe be seen that way but for me its just not enough. Then there's the obvious kiss which I have to point was started by Pyrrha and Jaune merely reacted to it (what a fair number of hormonal teenage boys would do the same, regardless of romantic interest in said person). Again, in a heat of the moment kind of situation that doesn't show that Jaune loved Pyrrha in a romantic sense, merely that Pyrrha finally showed her feelings. Even after her death we never got any confirmation that Jaune loved Pyrrha at that point. We only see him grieving her death, which is not exclusive to a lover's action. So an interesting theory but I counter with my own that Arkos never set sail and was merely a one sided love affair by Pyrrha. Still though even without this angle your theory still holds ground.
Most of this is pretty easily explained, and the evidence (although really unnecessary) is certainly there to show romantic interest. Firstly, as you've pointed out, Jaune was obvious in his pursuit of Weiss, he never showed this same pursuit to Pyrrha, because by the time he realized he had feelings for her it was already at the point of progression in their relationship that pursuit was not necessary. The turning point was at the school dance, in which Pyrrha made her mini-confession, & Jaune responded in several ways to show clearly that he had switched to being with Pyrrha romantically. 1) He actually did go and dance with her, which is a direct romantic gesture considering the circumstances (she had just confessed). 2) He immediately gave up pursuit of his original romantic interest, Weiss, and actually convinced Neptune to go and make her night instead. This is about as obvious as it gets in terms of the show giving us the clear heads up that the proper ship has been set in motion. Then, you take the conversation in Volume 3 where he grabs her hand and she rests her head on his shoulders, while Nora drags Ren away to make sure they don't interrupt the romantic moment. Obviously things go south from there, but the implication of a romantic relationship is so blatantly obvious you basically have to be blind or in absolute denial to believe that Jaune didn't have romantic feelings for Pyrrha.
Interesting but you make quite a few assumptions which while could be seen as romantic are not definitive and can also easily be seen as Jaune being a good friend/partner, which we all agree that he is. The things you site as "evidence" don't necessarily mean romantic gestures. Yes Jaune stepped aside for Weiss and convinced Neptune to man up, just fine there. Does that mean he instantly starting pursuing Pyrrha in that way? Given what we know about Jaune that would be pretty strange since his heart was solely set on Weiss, and not in a silly infatuation kind of way but in a far more deeper way as he described in Volume 2. Going to dance with her honestly doesn't mean much of anything since they are partners. Blake danced with both Yang and Sun so is she pinning for both at the same time? The circumstance of her "confession" is kind of nonwithstanding here since Jaune already made the promise (albeit jokingly) that he would come to the dance in a dress and it was logical to go dance with Pyrrha to cheer her up, as any good friend in his position would do. It could've been romantic or it could've been just a friendly gesture. Nora is a meaningless mention since she ships everything and her perception of that moment was always going to be romantic given her mind set involving Ren and wanting to see Pyrrha happy. She'll perceive it how she wants no matter what. The hand grabbing honestly seemed more as a comforting thing than romantic given the situation. I have contact with friends that are girls that aren't my girlfriend all the time and none of it is romantic or sexual in nature. If someone's going through a hard time (as Pyrrha was) you try to make them feel better, some people respond well to hugs and other signs of support. Hugs can be romantic or just a kind gesture, it depends on the context and that moment did not start as a romantic scene, it was Jaune trying to help Pyrrha out as she was obviously very stressed. Pyrrha without a doubt saw it was romantic but if you notice during that scene when Pyrrha rests her head on his shoulder he literally flinches away in surprise and shock. If they're already pursuing each other romantically since the dance (as you asserted) this action shouldn't be surprising or shocking in anyway but should be natural. I'm not saying that it couldn't have turned into something and if Pyrrha lived it more than likely would have. What I'm saying is that many of us could be blinded by our shipping desires and reading more into what Jaune did and said. It's just a theory that could be proven wrong by Jaune later addressing it but I think its very possible that Jaune didn't have romantic pinnings for Pyrrha, at least not until the very end and it was only growing. Also keep in mind this is from someone who shipped Arkos hard during volumes 1-3. It was my favorite ship but I can still look at it objectively. Just my opinion/theory.
I don’t think he really Romantically Loved Her until she Kissed, in that moment he fell Hard, and couldn’t stop it. He now lives in Pain of Loving Pyyrha put never being able to be in a Relationship with Her, and Guilt from never noticing everything she did showing she Loved Him and the Pain he had caused with his obliviousness. Which is why he’s still beat up about it, and Training with the Recording of Pyrrha to this day
While it does open up a bit of a plot hole with foreverfall, I personally think that Jaune's semblance should have been substitution I.e. Swapping the places of people and objects. I feel like it would have better fit his character. Even that moment in foreverfall could be explained as jaune just substituting something like a large amount of aura in place of himself, which we know is possible.
Not possible sadly. I don't have a link to back up my claim but I know I've heard them state in the show, possibly in the "world of remnant", that no 2 semblances are the same. So Jaune couldn't have the same semblance as Pyrrah, PLUS a semblance is something you are born with and not passed on through contact or relationship, PLUS they kind of stress a lot of individuality in this show. Just listen to Oz's speech near the beginning of the series where he talks about the end of the Great War how parents started giving their kids names themed around color and expression. While your take on it is valid and appreciated these are just some counter points to your argument.
I might be wrong, but I think a semblance has a lot to do with where you come from, and what you NEED when it is activated. Granted, i only heard this theory is passing, but someone also wrote a fic with a reasonable explanation, that explains the Schnee's semblances. For example, Weiss and sister have the same semblance. Both grew up in a strict, regulated environment, and Weiss has always strived to be like her sister; thus, same semblance. When Ren activated his semblance, he needed to hide from the Grimm; thus, invisibility to Grimm. We still don't know everything about Blake, but it's implied she did a lot of things she regretted in the White Fang, which I'm pretty sure included assassination. Thus, semblance that helps her to escape when needed.
If you think about how close his relationship is with Pyrrah, if his semblance could replicate others through exposure his very well might have changed to be like hers throughout their time together.
That can't be completely true though, as Weiss and Winter both have the same semblance of Glyphs, so semblances can be near identical, if not completely so.
sorry but this is easily proven wrong. First it has been stated that every semblance is unique so that right there proves this is false. Also in the volume 1 commentary they said that the moment where Cardin hurt his hand trying to hit Jaune was the first glimpse of his semblance which is likely what they mean when they say we have already seen his semblance.
I do watch the show which is how I know that Weiss's family is the exception. I believe they are the only known case of that happening and even if it was more common which it is not. Jaune and Pyrrha are not related so it does not matter.
I think Jaune can heal. He healed himself after activating his aura in volume 1 and aura can't heal, but because it was in volume 1 and they were explaining aura it kind of flies by our heads and that scene with Cardin makes it seem like maybe that was the first hints of a semblance, which i still think has something to do with healing.
I think Jaune's semblance is a barrier, and that Pyrrha theory about polarity would be cool. When you brought up their polar opposite characteristics, I got to think. Perhaps Jaune could repel? But I think the barrier makes a bit more sense, since Jaune is a person you wouldn't necessarily see evade much. I find Jaune to be a great supportive leader as the volumes progressed, so this semblance would be good for him. I'd go as far as say he can even transmit his semblance to the other party members, kinda how Ren did for Jaune & Qrow. This enhanced shield(barrier) ability would be great for the team, when the person he uses it on runs out of aura.
POSSIBLE SPOILERS WARNING Sorry but brand new evidence I have subscribed to rooster teeth so already seen next week's episode on their site And it is stated quite bluntly that Jon's semblance had not been awakened yet
Julia Roy in theatre, this is called dramatic irony. we know something the characters don’t know. in this case, we’ve already seen jaune’s semblance (albeit we don’t know what) while jaune has not.
Julia Roy That isn't really enough. To be honest, Oz, who I said that line hasn't really seen much of jaune's interactions with pyrrah, so he wouldn't have known if he did unlock his semblance. Maybe Jaune has unlocked it but hasn't noticed it.
Spoiler alert!!! It's healing and i knew it! When he unlocks his aura in vol 1 he heals himself and if I'm remembering correctly aura only gives protection, not healing.
U guys i might know what jaune semblance is, arc is his last name right, think about he is an arcangel the white light that we saw and how he heal when he fought the bully think about it wouldnt it make sense if he was, fuck all this other stuff, arcangel for the win
I was just thinking that. Also it can match his personality with his ability to sort of bring people together and to get back up (occasionally) after being defeated.
I was thinking it was an offensive semblance, a sort of aura shockwave. You can see something like it in this video at 1:15ish. The main evidence I have for that is his character emblem (shown on his shield) is two waves. Other emblems we've seen relate to semblances, such as weiss' snowflake glyph, the electrically charged hammer of Nora's emblem. This would work for the magnetism thing as well though, given how magnetic fields are often drawn. If this is the case, the shockwave was simply for dramatic effect, which I'm willing to accept.
I don't care if Rooster Teeth doesn't incorporate this into the story, that was the most beautiful way to look at Jaune and Pyrrha again.
mugensamurai yeah that stupid montage made me cry xD
I miss Pyhra so much :(
Opposites attract is what I want their ship name to be if this is true.
mugensamurai I haven’t watched this video but is Jaune’s semblance Shock Absorption?
SediLaka 91 whait can he just use the phone to fly back
Whoa, you can control poles.
PLOTTWIST! That is Jaune's semblance. He isn't magnetic, he can control poles.
Like the shafts?
So Jaune is basically Hitler and will subjugate the Slavs. I guess that's one way of getting the resources to ward off Salem.
As a Pole I have nothing against ;D
Magnets are cool too
Dude, I've just seen the latest episode and well...
I'm sorry.
IJUSTWANNADIE
XD
But hey, you put an honest effort into making a theory with legitimate reasoning. That's admirable in my book!
Uniquenameosaurus dont worry, lots of theories get debunked but they are still valuable in my opinion. you put a good amount of thought into this and i applaud you for that. it shows how much you care about the show :)
and im kinda glad it turned out to be what it was or else....things would have gone bad very fast. and i would have cried.
my condolences for the death of your theory
yup
I'm just really sad we won't get to see Pyrrha in new animation style.
turntable2 Here's hoping for flashbacks ;^;
Or RT will revive Pyrrha
Rentablescroll YUCK! Let her remain dead… no need to cheapen the feels for fan service
turntable2 Just wait until flashbacks happen.
evan butler
I’d rather remember her valiant sacrifice than have her effort be cheapened and have her back. I personally can’t STAND when “death” has no meaning whatsoever! It’s why I hate a lot of comic characters (jean grey and Superman come to mind).
Well, now we know what Jaune’s semblance is, or at least one aspect of it.
*****SPOILER*****
The way that Jaune’s aura wraps around Weiss looks very similar indeed to how Pyrrha’s aura wrapped around metal. What she could do with metal, he can do with people, to either heal or inflict harm. If RT really run with this, Jaune’s semblance could be one of the most powerful we’ve seen yet.
1:27 Wew I didn't expect to be receiving a confession when I clicked on this.

hey man sorry count get to talk whit you any other way and sorry for the gramer im still learning eng.
I just wanted to thanke you for the analyses video giveing me a chance to apriciet one pice and reading that lewd comic anway sinc i cant watche your videos becous of net nutrality being destroyed and i dount have the money for that this will be mz last comennt on your vid i know i care about this so i just want to say
THANK YOU FOR BEING AWESOME FUNNY AND SMART IN ALL YOUR VIDS.But moste of all thank you for inspireing me to be a creater an artist and just know that people like you make people like me feel a loot better in this strange and crule worled
Not sold, but we'll argued. You make a compelling case for this to be how Jaunes semblance plays out.
Additionally, Pyrrha's semblance is black when in use, while Jaune's aura / semblance was white, which also plays well into this idea. Definitely something to be looking out for then :D
Pyrrha's aura is red, the semblance effect is black. Jaune's is always white.
Ah, true. I meant her semblance though, since that is what is relevant :)
His aura is ALWAYS white though, so the comparison doesn't work for your purposes. If his aura were only white when his semblance activates, then there'd be a solid basis, but as it stands that's not the case.
Pyrrha :(
You're pretty in depth and clever, but we have yet to see two semblances that are identical save for hereditary.
David Potts every aura has the ability to heal the user
Ooh there’s also the fact that Tyrian was focusing and was more interested in Jaune!
And also when Pyrrha uses her semblance its black but when Rooster Teeth said we saw a bit of Jaune’s semblance it was white
So, as the tank, he has the ability to draw aggro. I buy it.
I think his actual semblance is healing as we saw it in the first volume when pyrra unlocks his aura yet even though she mentions that he has a lot of it we have yet to see some else healing from their aura
WHYWERETHEYSOSECRETIVEABOUTITWTF
Spot on, he is literally a white mage with a sword
I guess you could say:
There was a _SEMBLANCE_ of a Semblance reveal.
These puns make me hard

Velvet breaks the laws of physics by using a holographic weapon
Unsung Ironclad tru dat
Pretty sure it's hardlight, not holographic.
Basically everything in RWBY breaks the laws of physics.
Paladinman41 yes pretty much, not much of a problem just much of a confusing way to fight and I'm sure not many people know how to fight using holographic weapons.
here is my theory, pyrra's is shown to make objects attract which is only one half of polarity, could jaune's be the the half the equal but opposite ability to make objects repel each other
I agree, that was my immediate thought while watching this
But... Pyrrha repeled Penny's swords... So no...
She repelled mercs leg
Did she? Go back and watch the fight, but when she activates her power, keep an eye on her sword, its always in the direction of the redirection, which is why I'm thinking shes magnetizing her sword and making it pull his leg to towards it.
...that fits so well...

Darth Faraam Really shouldn't have liked this but when I read it, I couldn't help but bust out laughing. My roomate thought I was having a mental breakdown...
penny for your thoughts?
Healing is just a standard aspect of one's Aura.
FilmAcolyteReturns like if someone attacks him with a ice or fire power he will attack them with the same element?
Interesting theory. My theory has always been that his power is steel. There’s a song that goes “you are the magnet, and I am the steel...🎵🎶”.
Could be,since when Cardin hit him his hand hurt, and that's what happens when you hit steel.
can we highlight how the lyrics in every song and intro in this show refers to a certain moments and when we happen to realize that it's so fucking obvious.
like with volume 2 intro: it says "it's time to say goodbye to the things we love" and then you remember jaune and pyrha....
with boop: it says boop means i love you, so everytime nora says boop to ren it means i love you.....
with dream come true: it's pretty self explanatory
but.....
"YOU ARE THE MAGNET I AM THE STEEL"
and the volume 5 intro says and i quote: 0:33 see it for you self......
do you see it? everything is hidden in the songs..... watch out for the songs....
I'mWastingMyLifeInMyFandom -Army nice name.
I'mWastingMyLifeInMyFandom -Army do you think that maybe that line is referring to how they were attracted tp.eac other the way a magnet would be?
Holy shit I think jaune’s semblence is durability cuz his skin would have to be as hard as steel when attacked. Like when Cardin punched him.
1:20 the only good use Ash will ever have in his entire being
Keli Y right
Keli Y No Digimon vs Pokemon was death battle
Outside of the XYZ series you mean lol
Victory 101 They used Red. Not ash.
Uh, Ash saved the world hundreds of times
Not a bad idea. I would love something unique and unexpected but I like a power that makes narrative sense too
Guys, guys, guys... It was so simple! Healing!! Jaune is going to save the Ice Queen, just you wait. :)
Evidence: Season 1 - Episode 6 - The Emerald Forest - 5:54
Pyrrha ignites Jaune's aura and then he get's healed. Aura is for defence, not healing.
Imre Bertalan whatever you just watched volume 5 chapter 12
HAHAHA! That would be fucking briliiant.
Four and chips - my favourite British food.
Jaune's Semblance is going to be Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon, and then he'll become the King of All Mongrels.
Yes Pyyrha is catching pokémon in the afterlife.
I bet she's catching all the fire type Pokèmon.
I really hopped I could get away from Pokemon Go if I just died, you just might have saved my life
She is now "ash"
Jon-John Pinckney Turned into "cinders"
Jon-John Pinckney bruh I just got that
Or something passive like a rallying influence. He is often pointed at as a "natural leader" in the series and while the storyline of Grimm Eclipse isn't necessarily canon, the abilities have been accurate to the main storyline. Notice aside from his normal moveset which are hilariously plain looking but relatively effective attacks there is also his rally damage buff as his ultimate which creates an aura (haha totally on purpose the first time I thought it out) which gives allies a damage buff (much like coordination would chain together more effective attacks) and deals slight knockback damage to all enemies in the area of effect (also like what happened to Cardin in season one when Jaune got punched)
Just my two cents though, I could be horribly wrong
This makes a lot of sense. It seems like everyone just sorta gets their asses handed to them when Jaune isn't around but suddenly gains a massive buff when he's there.
Azereiah Also tbh I live playing him in RWBY:GE because all his charged aoe moves are op lol and given a large group of Grimm you can just keep spamming and get his ult in like 2 or 3 hits
So, Jedi Battle Meditation?
Vinny Piazza Just thought I should add that yes, Grimm Eclipse is canon to the show, it takes place between volumes 2 and 3
That's brilliant.
Maybe it's exactly as Jaune had said in Volume 1. "It's like a force field!"
I know they were discussing aura, but maybe he is onto something...
the one thing I want to see is Jaune's Rage. Like, just a whole episode of Jaune OP Semblance rage, where teh whole episode moves.
But she only made slight adjustments."
Or how she'd use it to pull her sword and shield back to her whenever they left her hands.
XD
I meant no ill will, just wanted to try to explain what I think and see if that helped you to understand. If you care that is. IDK.
Peace!
+Many Fry Well, I suppose it could still work if we knew HOW she did it (mentally speaking), for example;
It's possible that she only had the power to pull things (or at least they were focused on pulling things), but for this to work she'd have to also control where they'd pull to, allowing her to move things around by shifting where the pull was leading to.
Pyhrra's semblance is polarity, not technically not attraction but I don't know about Juane, Jaune's Spanish cousin.
Coiledsiren65 Naw
His semblance is ending ships,
His Semblance is actually killing off cereal mascots by making out with him.
I mean if Qrow is Unlucky then maybe Jaune is Clumsy.
...Nah thats dumb they wouldnt do that to us.
...Right?
Ah his semblance is luck. I mean think about it how has a clumsy fuck up survived this long
Rodney way actually make sense lol 😂
This theory is so good that I'm going to be upset with roosterteeth if you're wrong
NO PHYRRA IS NOT DEAD... she's not dead... T^T
Chia ... she's dead....and always will be... *Cries uncontrollably*
Luigi The hero *pat pat*
The original story was leaked a while ago. She's not dead. Cinder sealed her in the arrow head because she wanted to be a dick.
GoAwayGoogle YOU BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL POTATO, YOU HAVE GIVEN ME AND MY FRIENDS HOPE
its fake. shes dead
Thanks for making it super short. I was really surprised.
Love the ash joke
i’m so confused what was the joke there?
Pyrrha got turned to ash by cinder.
Not last rtx but the previous one someone was walking around with a sign that said looking for Ash with a circle and slash over a picture of ash ketchum, and a just a circle of a picture of a pile of ash from like a fire pit.
nothing happened
Omg i didn't get it until i read this comment
You trumped all of Game/ Film Theorists theories of the last year plus in just 2:40 minutes.
I call bullshit on that
Have you seen the resent film theory video and the resent Rick and Morty episode. His theory was 100% correct. This video just talks about symbolism, the film and game theorist uses actual facts to create his theories.
And he uses too MANY facts.
he forgets that not everything pertains to real world science.
He forgets that these worlds have their OWN ways of working.
Thomas Gabriel White But 99% of their content is stolen fan theories anyway, so they don't get points for that.
Where did you get that idea?
YeeaaaaaaaIdon't know. Honestly, this seems a bit of a stretch to me. They explicitly said that all semblances are different (with the one exception of the Weiss family).
The only things we know for certain are: 1) We already saw it 2) In the DVD commmentary when Cardin punches him, it says that it's a hint to his semblance.
It could be a forcefield, super healing, light, kinetic energy absorption, gravity, invulnerability... there's a lot of options. He could even be mega-manning and he just copied Phyrra's ability unconsciously.
Who says Jaune and Pyrrha aren't related? Classic Star Wars incest anyone?
Shendue You know what, I'd be down as fuck for Jaune to have a Kirby/Alpha Stigma-esque Copycat Semblance, where he can replicate any semblance he's seen
Jaune is actually Sombra, he can hack people's limbs /s
There are ways to make polarity more unique. He could have a repelling force while Pyrrha only ever attracted.
Could be that since Phyrra is one aspect of a magnet, the pull things towards her, Jaune could be the opposite and push things away, thus having repelled Cardin's punch?
THIS THEORY IS BETTER THAN THE REALITY!!!! seriously... they made Jaune into a fucking Mercy main
Winter_Chill Weiss needs Healing
out of them all they really need a medic
this is he first video I've seen of tours and I gotta say, I liked it! short sweet and to the point, but what really got me was that line at the end.
It has, litterally the moment pyrra gave him the aura he healed himself.
NeoUzzy, he already mentioned that.
NeoUzzy yes I know like Nathan said I literally said that right after I asked if his aura behaved like that before, then I brought up the counterpoint why didn't his aura heal him while getting beat by Cardin.
I guess he didnt have controll over it? I don't know what drives an aura or a semblance.. I don't think it's simply a muscle you can flex.
NeoUzzy inexperience probably. "Unlike many, our semblance is hereditary. However, that doesn't mean it will come easy. Your semblance is like a muscle. The more you work with it, the stronger it becomes..." (paraphrased) -Winter
All in all though we have seen aura being able to heal or at least to try and heal. Take Yang for example. When her arm got cut off, her aura gathered to stop the bleeding and try to heal the wound but failed in doing so because of the sheer size of it.
why did that make me so emotional
He is actually a Dovakin
Do you go to the cloud district very often?
And Cinder stole his sweet roll.
OmniscientWarrior lmao
OmniscientWarrior Hahaha nailed it!
Let me guess someone stole your sweetroll...
?
Pyrrha never "summoned" anything. Everything affected by her semblance was already in existence and made of metal.

NO YOU FUCKING DIDN'T
I laughed then cried
Even you. *Stab*
Me: "How is Phyrrha As- Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 😔
Oh, but he did.
FlyntofRWBYNation i didnt expect you here.
I LOVE IT
i think that the last episode kinda showed his semblance to be something along the lines of aura manipulation.
I really like how concise you've made the video. Good job
Same probelm with the white haired Ozpin ( the host wasn't controlling it at any time )
Ugh I wish this was Jaun's semblance 😭😭 it would've been so perfect
This actually makes sense with those "first hints of a semblance" comments, because those hints were a white blast and Cardin's *armored* arm failing to impact Jaune's face. If Jaune's semblance is the reverse magnetic version of Pyrrha's (which was a black aura), it makes sense it would be a white aura. The only thing is that Pyrrha had to touch something to affect it, and as far as I know Jaune didn't touch Cardin's arm.
Pyrrha didn't actually have to touch things to affect them. Case and point: Her very first use of her semblance on Jaune's shield from a distance.
thing with Mercury was she didnt know he had metal legs, so she couldnt control them until she blocked a kick realizing they were metal.
2 minutes of crying once again interrupted by lethal laughter. This was an awesome video and i hope you make more.
Jaunes semblance is healing...Watch RWBY volume 5 episode 12 ( you can watch it on KissAnime)
I don't think it's only healing.
Not healing, but aura transfer. This explains why they said we'd already seen it, because when cardin hit jaune, jaune was actually taking aura from cardin to amplify his own. This works vice versa with adding to weiss's aura, and since aura has healing properties naturally it heals her too.
This video was made before volume 5 episode 12. ;)
Javid Nouri They sed on v5 ch13 that it was aura healing...or something
No it's not aura healing. By giving his own aura, he basically uber-charges people's aura which as a side effect of how aura works doubles as healing. He might be able to take aura away but we don't know enough yet.
Beautiful quick video now watch Overlord
Robert Hendricksen I have no idea why Overlord is being mentioned but I am a huge fan so I agree 😀
i think jaune's semblance is that his body can be hard as steel or he's a man of steel.
joemar toroy How hard?
Oh My!
Does make sense since he does seem to take worse hits than even Yang
that sounds like greed's ultimate armor from fma
I forgot why I love your content. Thanks for the awesome reminder!
So im new to RWBY, only found it a month or so back. And holy hell this was special. I wish this hada been cannon tbh
do Nichijou video again :D
i'm really laugh at Nichijou video XD
Dude, no. That's not how this works
learn how to english properly first
Why not watch the anime?
Sumei Lumei we malaysians use our own brand of of slang and grammar when translating to english
I really hope your right...
Fucking. Brilliant.
Honestly, I agree with this lol.
Blake, Adam, and Qrow already produce aura shockwaves.
It looks like he's still repelling them though you know, personally i wana contribute whosh sounds from his sword as him being buff and skilled
I think it might be aura transfer.
Jaune's a fridge cause Pyrrah's a magnet
So he's a solid slab that holds you milk and can kill you if he falls on you?
I love this theory and it would be awesome if it's true I don't think it is, if I remember correctly (and I may be wrong entirely) no one can have the kind of semblance except for Wiess's family cause genetics or whatever.
like I said I love the theory but I don't think it's going to happen but hay maybe it will
"If she is a magnet the Jaune is the other". Me: YOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Holy sh*t dude. That's a great way of looking at that. That's awesome.
That was awesome, we need more theory videos like this!
Or maybe his semblance copies other peoples semblance. It would explain Tyrian's interest in him. A Semblance like that would be incredibly powerful and worth anyone's interest.
That'd be cool. Maybe have it work similar like Rouge from X-men.
i think that'd be a bit broken though. that gives him litterally everybody's semblance, no matter how powerful they are. Yang's super saiyan mode, Weiss' glyphs, Ruby's speed, Pyrhha's magnetism, Ren's emotion masking, Qrow's bad luck, the list goes on.
Brandon Thompson if it’s like rogue’s from X-men, he can only have one semblance at a time.
yeah but still i think that might be a bit lazy
It would also be a bit redundant, since we know Velvet's semblance is the ability copy one's movements.
LOVING IT
I'm intrigued... Tell me more.
YOU OLDER BROTHER! I can’t believe I never thought of that!!!
But uh... how?
Because the exposition dump videos specifically said that each semblance is unique and that you get it at birth, it’s just latent until you unlock it.
not to say that Miles and Kerry wouldn’t still do it
Could be unique in a way, that they are polar opposites of each other (In pairs)
Think about it like this: Pyrrha's Polarity was about attraction, as in, sticking metal stuff to other things. Jaune's Polarity might be the exact opposite: repellent, as in, say, repelling the punch from a dude wearing *metal* armor?
Hunter Burnette definitely false, Pyrrha repels Mercury’s boot as well as literally everyone’s metal weapons using just her hand
Pyrrha is ASH lol 1:19
R.I.P. this theory
Times where you cry. Just thinking about the ship of Jaune and Pyrrha just makes me cry. It sailed smoothly but it just hit an iceberg.
That....makes an incredible amount of sense and i'm mad i didn't think of it myself
SPOILERS
welp
his semblance is healing

IJUSTWANNADIE
Analogic bringing the Logic to the table. He even did it in fewer words.
Which is why he’s still beat up about it, and Training with the Recording of Pyrrha to this day
if any of you could edit in tldrs, I would be very thankful
While it does open up a bit of a plot hole with foreverfall, I personally think that Jaune's semblance should have been substitution I.e. Swapping the places of people and objects. I feel like it would have better fit his character. Even that moment in foreverfall could be explained as jaune just substituting something like a large amount of aura in place of himself, which we know is possible.
That last part.
So beautiful
Multiverse Travlr you probably missheard, as the show has already shown that there can be semblance that are very similar.
Jaunes semblance could be light
sorry but this is easily proven wrong. First it has been stated that every semblance is unique so that right there proves this is false. Also in the volume 1 commentary they said that the moment where Cardin hurt his hand trying to hit Jaune was the first glimpse of his semblance which is likely what they mean when they say we have already seen his semblance.
Tashigi actually if you watch rwby you know that semblance can be passed down to the next generation
I do watch the show which is how I know that Weiss's family is the exception. I believe they are the only known case of that happening and even if it was more common which it is not. Jaune and Pyrrha are not related so it does not matter.
My heart just broke. I cried. You just made me cry. How can fictional characters and magnet metaphors make me cry? Why am I like this?
His semblance is aura strengthening
There is... Logic in what he says
What about...eyebrows?
I think Jaune can heal. He healed himself after activating his aura in volume 1 and aura can't heal, but because it was in volume 1 and they were explaining aura it kind of flies by our heads and that scene with Cardin makes it seem like maybe that was the first hints of a semblance, which i still think has something to do with healing.
SPOILERSSSSS
I WAS RIGHT HURRAAAAYY!
I would have been cool if this video was 10 minutes long
I fail to see how the length of the video has anything to do with your status in social circles.
(Yes, I am making fun of your typo.)
Home playing in the background has me needing some heals for my feels.
Yep, this theory has been debunked.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS WARNING
Sorry but brand new evidence
I have subscribed to rooster teeth so already seen next week's episode on their site
And it is stated quite bluntly that Jon's semblance had not been awakened yet
U guys i might know what jaune semblance is, arc is his last name right, think about he is an arcangel the white light that we saw and how he heal when he fought the bully think about it wouldnt it make sense if he was, fuck all this other stuff, arcangel for the win
team RWBY and JNPR yeah i know but wouldnt it be cool if jaune semblance was a arcangle though
team RWBY and JNPR ok ur opinion
I was just thinking that. Also it can match his personality with his ability to sort of bring people together and to get back up (occasionally) after being defeated.
His name is a reference to Joanne D'Arc a historical figure.
That was the best jab at game theory I've heard so far, well done.
